Astro-Notes on February 7, 2012 – Leo Full Moon

The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 18:31 Leo states:

“A houseboat party. The enjoyment of temporary freedom from rigidly structured social behavior – FREEDOM FROM SOCIAL RIGIDITY.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 18:31 Aquarius states:

“A forest fire is being subdued by the use of water, chemicals and sheer muscular energy. The skill and courage necessary to bring under control the destructive potential of carelessness of ‘karmic visitations’ – INDOMITABILITY.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolic Phases”, Pages 142-143 and 261, respectively)

Vesta in Pisces, who receives an opposition from retrograde Mars in Virgo, perfects her semi-sextile to Eris in Aries, thereby raising our competitive spirit and bringing dormant energies back to life in a surge of determination that mobilizes us in a way that enables us to react readily and efficiently to confrontational situations we’re facing in regard to commitment and motivation. With the superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius highlighting the same axis as the Leo Full Moon at 4:53 pm EST, two cycles culminate at once. As a consequence, the new mental impulse that has been sounding forth on December 4, 2011, and has taken our will to soaring heights is peaking at the same time as the Aquarius lunation cycle, which started a process of self-realization and  desocialization (keynote for the Aquarius New Moon), that is moreover bringing seeds to fruition planted with the Leo New Moon back at the end of July 2011, which referred to a new type of order after chaos, while calling for “catabolic action” (keynote of the Leo New Moon – nothing could be more true considering that we experienced the devastating tornado in Goderich that turned our lives upside down and in the end forced me to find my own place or LIFE and thus into Self-realization – a keyword for the Leo Archetype). Thus, the communist activist spreading his revolutionary ideals (keynote for the Leo New Moon) has become the deserter from the navy, who repudiates a collective status, which has become unbearable (keynote of the Aquarius New Moon) by seeking freedom from social rigidity (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon in Leo). Preceded by Saturn’s retrograde station in the last degree of Libra at 9:03 am EST, this is a last chance to rectify, re-evaluate, reassess and re-balance structures, responsibilities, respect and authority until June 25 when Saturn will turn direct. Venus in Pisces’ quincunx to retrograde Saturn demands that we adjust our priorities and preferences accordingly.

Tarot card of the day is the “Page of Swords”, a card that is also called “The Renewer” and is all about communication, information and ideas and indicates the ability to rise above emotional confusion. The Page or Princess of Swords represents commitment to a new way of life, because of the settling and cutting away of past inner conflicts, the regaining of mental clarity and a victory over emotional moods. Manifestation of our dreams can actually happen in the not so distant future as she delivers messages of change and news of official matters.

Seek to align yourself with people who will nurture your ideas and will help you to manifest them in an organized manner.

  1. Your personal worldview is yours alone. Happiness and a positive attitude comes from within, not without.
