Astro-Notes on August 18, 2012 – focusing on our specific aims

Mercury in Leo forms a Yod with retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and retrograde Chiron in Pisces at the base

and also a trine with retrograde Uranus in Aries, with the latter providing the way out of this seemingly irresolvable dilemma. Consequently, a reversal of trends could have resulted in a change of our perception and thought process, thereby causing us to review creative ideas and alter personal plans. This, in turn, helps us to realize failed ambitions and to work out solutions where we have been obstructed and limited by problems and difficulties, which were beyond our control up until now. It is necessary though for the sake of our Self-interests in this regard that we stop shooting ourselves in the foot by resisting unproductive compulsions and temptations and instead concentrating our thoughts and focusing our mind on goals we’ve set ourselves, which requires that we organize our agenda and projects accordingly. With Venus in Cancer in square aspect to retrograde Pallas in Aries we’re challenged to revise our strategies so that we can come up with new tactics for the support of our values and in regard to the intended growth of our emotional and financial wellbeing we’ve been struggling with.

Tarot card of the day is the “9 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we’re exercising self-control and reining in impulses. We’re pursuing refinement, remembering to be gracious and enjoying ourselves. Self-sufficiency is indicated. Much has been achieved and as a consequence, we feel secure and content. Continuing success will come through foresight and good planning as we focus on our very specific aims.

Personal Note: A Leo-friend of mine sent me a message as I was thinking of contacting her, especially since I haven’t made any plans for Sunday yet. So, it’s possible that we might get together, which would be nice. I also heard from my daughter and as much as I’m happy for her that she enjoyed her mini-vacation, I’m saddened about the fact that she’s unable to open her eyes in regard to the foundation or structures she’s building her life on. However, she has to find out for herself and no matter what happens in the future, I’ll always be there for her.
