For the new month the Moon will just have ingressed Aquarius to charge the atmosphere with electricity. Mercury in Libra will form a sesqui-quadrate to Jupiter Rx in Aquarius, indicating a critical phase in the process of networking by putting things into the larger context. Events seem to proceed at an unusual speed and unexpected developments may lead to reassessment regarding our group purpose that could include contractual signatures.

Well, I had to go to work with J and entered data in the computer all day long. I also signed a contract and was told it would be temporary – let’s just wait and see about that! Tomorrow I’ll be getting some more training. So, I’m actually rotating right now. There was no time in my day to read through the news, but I noticed an article about how parents deal with the situation, the empty nest, when their kids go to college – that fits the daily astroweather well. The article explores the relationship assessment the parents have to make in this regard as their life goes from active child-rearing to a rather passive kind of parenting.

The week starts off with a quincunx between Saturn in Virgo and Chiron Rx in Aquarius, while the Moon is still traversing Capricorn. This carries the signature of repair, damage control and orchestrated efforts for us to be able to make any progress at all. Inroads may have to be taken to bring order to ‘chaos’; realignment and reorganization could be a plain necessity in this situation.

In his strategic review of the Afghan war to the Pentagon and NATO headquarters General McChrystal, the commander of U.S. and NATO troops in Afghanistan, called for a new strategy against the Taliban in an assessment of the 8-year-old conflict, saying the situation is serious but victory was achievable. He is also separately expected to request more troops, according to the AP. – Here we have an example of an ‘ongoing problem’, a wounding issue that calls for a different take/handling of the situation if there will ever be a sign of progress or at least a putting behind of the conflict. I think the real question in this situation is if transcendence and healing is at all possible in this corner of the world and thus, if humanity is capable of learning after centuries of warring the lessons involved. The human condition is one of inherent conflict/split, naturally expressed and projected outwardly. Therefore, if we aren’t aware of and willing to cure this within ourselves, the cycle of suffering cannot be broken, neither can we elevate the group consciousness if we aren’t accepting of as well as respecting our individual differences. Besides, true leadership means leading by example. This is the real adjustment we need to make individually and collectively.

Personally, I’ve been readjusting to my routine here at home, which included a lot of cleaning, but I’m glad I’m done with this, because J called me in the afternoon when the Capricorn Moon was in sextile to Uranus Rx in Pisces to tell me about a job offering. Well, Pallas in Virgo aligned today with my na Uranus-Chiron opposition across 1/7 and here comes a strategy that would perfectly fit my personal agenda and which has been on my mind since 04 actually. But some things have to wait until there time has come and now the keynote of the latest Leo New Moon “overwhelmed with potentialities” seems to come through for me with a sense of inevitability (Leo New Moon was in the position of the 4th leg of a fixed Grand Cross with my IC/MC axis square Saturn in 6). So, I’m getting busy and I mean really, really busy. The pace is picking up and there seems to be no more time to waste by following the same old routine I was so tired of. Yeah, be careful what you wish for comes to mind. With my natal chart pattern it usually means going from one extreme to the next. Though eventually, I might have learnt the balancing act in between with Venus in Libra as my final dispositor. 🙂

August 29-30, 2009

Adding a few more lines to the unfolding story, Venus in Leo sextile Mercury in Libra form a trine and an opposition to Juno Rx in Aries. We may want to have a good time, enjoy ourselves as well as others’ company. In this light atmosphere, interchanges could flow, provide satisfaction and fun, while niceness could make the rounds, allowing all parties to feel appreciated or even admired. Naturally, everybody may desire for a moment to be at the center of the attention, to tell their personal story and to revel in the beauty of the situation. It would be easy to overestimate our self-importance in such a setting. Therefore, less is more – if we don’t want to come across as overbearing or conceited, especially with the Sun in Virgo in sesqui-quadrate to Eris Rx in Aries and the Moon’s ingress into Capricorn at 10:44 am EDT. Then, our mood could really sink and when the Moon will conjunct Pluto Rx in Capricorn around noon EDT it could reach such a low that we could react from a depressed or frustrated state. At the least, we will be down-to-earth from our flight of fancy and thus the atmosphere could become from now on a bit heavy and we more serious and reserved. However, we could use the energy to accomplish whatever hasn’t been done yet on our list. In the late afternoon, the Capricorn Moon will first oppose Mars in Cancer and then square Mercury in Libra, which cautions us toward picking a fight or other ways of overreacting. Words could hurt or cause damage in some other way if we can’t control what comes out of our mouth. We may have to side-step the problem to be able to keep the peace, but in the end this may have been worth the trouble when the Moon will quincunx Venus in Leo and later on semi-square Jupiter Rx in Aquarius, indicating a shift toward Self-appreciation, followed by a high time.

On Sunday,Vesta in Leo will form a quincunx to Pluto Rx in Capricorn, while Mars in Cancer will be perfecting his square to Juno Rx in Aries. This adjustment will test our intentions in regard to behavioral patterns underlying our principle of relating and thus the power of our compulsions or lower impulses. A semi-square between the Moon in Capricorn and Neptune Rx in Aquarius could manifest as an interruption from our sleep that could have us starting the day with a depleted energy level, which could be felt particularly strong after 9:00 am EDT when the Moon will move into a square to Ceres in Libra and we may struggle to maintain some form of harmony – inner as well as outer. Consequently, good relations may undergo strain. Thus, it would be best to rest our case and to try to reconcile instead. In the afternoon will the Moon in Capricorn engage in a trine to Pallas in Virgo, which can be taken as a signal that our strategy was successful. Negotiations may proceed smoothly from there on.

Saturday was for the most part a really down-to-earth-day. Even the weather was ‘depressing’ – only in the afternoon peeked the Sun through the heavy clouds. However, it was too cold for the season with 16 degrees Celsius. But this was just the right set up to get my ‘work’ done. In the evening, we sat together and played a few games. Thus, we had some fun time at last. Sunday was all about packing my bags, ‘cleaning up behind me’ and preparing for the way home. J came with the new car and we took Mom for a ride through the surroundings. Rain showered down on us occasionally and made me realize that fall is just around the corner. Still, I hope to see a bit of the Indian Summer, which is the most beautiful time of the year here – at least for me.

Today, Vesta will ingress Leo and Mercury in Libra will form a sextile with Venus in Leo. As the focus shifts toward the Self, energizing our source of creativity and beingness, our charm could impress and we may be the recipient of appreciation or of a nice offer or feel advantaged in some other way. Conversations should flow, giving us a chance to put our best face forward and thus to attract good vibrations.

M had to run a few errands – so, we’ve been in town all afternoon. Later, upon our return home, the rest of the family came over. Thus, it was a social day for me that left me no time for my writings or projects, but I enjoyed it.

After her Sagittarius ingress shortly before midnight of August 26th, will the Moon reach her First Quarter Square to the Sun in Virgo this morning, adding a ‘new angle’ to the New Moon’s keynote: “being overwhelmed with potentialities”. That could mean that our analysis of the situation needs to be broadened in order to include more factors. However, since we’re dealing with a “crisis in action” we may have to curb our enthusiasm in this regard somehow and may have to go back to the drawing board before we can take the next creative step as Venus in Leo forms a quincunx to Pluto Rx in Capricorn and a semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer. An objective evaluation of the whole picture could assist us in getting a clear perspective, in readjusting our projections and then taking care of the weak link, suggested by Ceres in Libra’s sesqui-quadrate to Neptune Rx in Aquarius. Facing up to the reality and thus to an eventual setback is not the same as being defeated. In the end, it is our commitment that counts. If we keep the focus on the goal we remain dedicated toward the cause.

All over the news of course is Senator Kennedy’s death – may he rest in peace – and how he’s being honored in addition to the respects paid to him. A great man died and this loss will be felt. Don’t let health care reform die with him – the astrology is very clear in this example. In Afghanistan, troop deaths are rising as the militants’ supply seems to be effectively endless in the words of the top U.S. commander (Ceres-Neptune): “An insurgency cannot be defeated by attrition.” (Venus in Leo qx Pluto Rx in Capricorn and semi-sextile Mars in Cancer) – the new strategy is to see the country through the eyes of its villagers.   –  A kidnap victim has been found alive 18 years later and reunited with her family. She was kept as a slave and had 2 children by her abductor. – The Ceres-Pluto mythology is uniquely portrayed in this story. Neptune adds the angle of victimization, uncertainty and imprisonment; Venus in Leo brings in the children as well as the joy that this girl is still alive (semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer).

The staircase’s final touch had to be moved to tomorrow, because there were other tasks I had to take care of. But I managed to respond to my mail and I removed the weed that was sprouting in between the stone pattern/path that leads into the backyard (Venus-Pluto-Mars). However, my schedule for tomorrow is full.

As the cardinal t-square perfects towards Pluto’s side, the episode continues to evolve with the focus on empowerment. Prior to her Leo ingress will Venus conjunct the South Node in Cancer and the Virgo Sun cast a quincunx to Juno Rx in Aries. Emotional patterns based on past conditioning, which don’t work for us anymore, inclusive self-worth and dependency related issues, need to be confronted head on in order to support our future prospects and to consolidate our assumed position as well as the role and function we intend to carry out. When Venus will traverse the sign Leo we can take pride in our talents and assets, display confidence and shine in our relationships. The initiative today will be to take care of business by stepping out of our comfort zone and nourishing our ambitions.

My stairs will get a ‘light’ second coat tomorrow – other than that they look great. In the afternoon I went to the Reiki Center in town, where I will give a few astrology workshops, beginning in September. It’s an oasis of peaceful, loving, spiritual energy and I was so lucky to meet a few wonderful women there today. They’re lightworkers, who have committed themselves toward healing, cleansing and interconnecting. What an exciting and inspiring experience to have been part of this small circle of light and love for a couple of hours!

Senator Ted Kennedy’s life ended today (cardinal t-square between Mercury in Libra, Mars in Cancer and Pluto Rx in Capricorn), bringing one of America’s greatest family dynasty’s into the spotlight again (Venus-Vesta-South Node conjunction in Cancer on solar eclipse degree). Without the Senator there will be no Senate dealmaker in regard to health care reform (Sun in Virgo quincunx Juno Rx in Aries). “In an era of bitter partisan division, Sen. Edward Kennedy’s death silenced a singular voice of bipartisanship and compromise at a time when his colleagues are struggling against angry constituents and with each other over an elusive plan to overhaul the U.S. health care system.” (AP) – This is the challenge of the cardinal t-square, drawing in the Aries Point, which needs to be overcome. – A sad day indeed. 😦

August 25, 2009

Venus forms a conjunction with Vesta in the last degree of Cancer, which was highlighted by the Solar Eclipse (July 21). Therefore, the issue that was relevant than could come up again and cause us to carefully evaluate our priorities as well as the things we’re committed to and if they’re worth of our support and energy. Mercury’s Libra ingress sets our mind up for weighing the pros and cons, while tension is building up and the pressure intensifies with Mars’ Cancer ingress, beginning a phase when we’re motivated by what is familiar and safe . Thus, we could be reacting defensively to suggestions or arrangements, which aren’t appealing to us, such as things we rather wouldn’t like to do when Mercury will engage in a square with Mars that will draw in Pluto Rx in Capricorn. It could be especially challenging to be fair and objective as our thoughts could be strongly influenced by deeply ingrained psychic patterns and this could result in a moment of personal weakness.

In the headlines today: “Guns near Obama events fuel open-carry debates”. No doubt, Aries Point involvement – where the personal becomes political – is coming through loud and clearly via this issue as both Mars and Mercury touched off this sensitive degree with their respective ingresses. Mars in Cancer protects the private territory, is acting in self-defense and takes care of his life and property with the rifle in his hand. In square to Mercury in Libra he’s a law unto himself, arguing that he’s also keeping the streets and the neighborhood safe, as it has always been held in this part of the world (the Wild West). While some support this argument, others are disturbed by these developments and now the debate is heating up (also Venus conjunct Vesta in Cancer at the eclipse degree with the Sabian Symbol’s keynote “glorification of the past”). Finally, the questions stand: Are the gun laws too weak? Do you feel safe surrounded by gun-carrying people or threatened? (Dick Cheney comes to mind)

Interestingly enough, I’ve been painting the staircase down to the basement this morning and will continue tomorrow with the remaining steps (Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto Rx in Capricorn). This new coat looks a lot better – each member of the household likes the color (Venus-Vesta). We also enjoyed a very nice afternoon together in the Sun, talking about the family and relationships in general, which brought up some painful memories as well (Mercury in Libra square Mars in Cancer).
