Astro-Notes on July 31, 2012 – things are falling into place

The Sun in Leo forms a trine to retrograde Uranus in Aries and a quincunx to retrograde Chiron in Pisces,

signifying the completion of a process in our life that is related to our ‘becoming’ and individuating, during which we reshaped our identity and reinvented ourselves. Consequently, the progress or advances we made in this regard are an adjustment that is associated with the wounding and healing principle in our life as it affects our sense of Self. This requires that we express ourselves in a way, which allows us to resolve these recurring problems, which leave us at a loss, disillusioned or in the grip of uncertainty, once and for all. By ending our Self-undoing in this regard, or in other words, these occasions when we shoot ourselves in the foot, we become aware of who we truly are at our core where our Self resides. Thus, as we’re letting go off the ego and follow our heart instead, things will begin to fall into place. With Venus in Gemini engaged in another trine to Saturn in Libra we’ve succeeded in adapting our preferences and desires to fit unbalanced or unfair social and relationship situations with the result that we can now establish something of lasting value in this context.

Tarot card of the day is the “King of Swords”, symbolizing a decision-maker, who lives by clear logic and fact as well as justice and fairness, has a sharp mind, high intellect and expands on inner wisdom. He is impartial, puts emotions aside, makes informed decisions and applies mind over matter. It’s a day when we can filter thoughts and imagination into cohesive ideas and projects.

Personal Note: I have a consultation this afternoon right after my long early shift with a client, who could open many doors for me in this area. Wish me luck!

Astro-Notes on July 30, 2012 – putting our heart into our cause

After the Moon made ingress to Capricorn at 3:29 am EDT this morning, we’re feeling more somber and realistic as well as serious about our goals, readying ourselves to get down to business and do what we must do in order to achieve them. A Yod is formed as the Sun in Leo moves into the Vesta-Pluto quincunx with the Sun-Vesta sextile at the base and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn at the apex of the fateful configuration to which Vesta in Gemini’s semi-square to retrograde Eris in Aries provides the necessary tension to force us into Self-motivated action. Instead of scattering our energy or only skipping the surface of a subject matter or taking our commitment too lightly, we need to control our compulsions, temptations and subconscious inclinations and work on getting our stuff together, while putting our heart into our cause, fueling our creative or self-expressive drive and energizing ourselves. The game is on and we have to play our part to the best of our abilities, showing what we are made of and if possible, ‘outperforming’ ourselves. We have to realize that there’s a lot at stake for us, which if handled constructively, will help us to succeed with managing our life’s circumstances so that we can concentrate on the things we hold sacred. With Pallas stationing retrograde at 11:29 Aries at 6:31 pm EDT, a phase of reviewing and reflecting upon the strategies we’ve initiated together with the personal politics we’ve been struggling with begins.

Tarot card of the day is the “Ace of Wands”, suggesting an upsurge of ideas and imagination and the drive and energy necessary to undertake such projects. There is the promise of motion, direction and positive energy and thus, we could be feeling quite energetic and enthusiastic as well as optimistic and hopeful for the future. Today we’re driven by a strong, creative force, proceed with courage and confidence and expand our potential.

Astro-Notes on July 29, 2012 – honing our skills

A sextile from Venus in Gemini to retrograde Eris in Aries offers us a chance to get our priorities straight by

focusing on our Self-interests and responding to the strong desires that propels us to win in this situation as we’re connecting to our competitive side, while trying to imitate or emulate others’ example. With Vesta in Gemini in quincunx aspect to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, this adjustment in spirit, commitment and energy investment is necessary for us to gain empowerment and to be able to tap our passion and resourcefulness. As Saturn in Libra perfects his tense sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Chiron in Pisces, unresolved or unfinished issues, which have been a source of recurring problems, have to be assessed and arranged in a way that allows us to juggle our responsibilities, which requires discipline and organization on our part.

Tarot card of the day is the “9 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we can complete any work necessary, because we’ve reached a point where we’re feeling self-sufficient, resourceful and capable and have identified the roots of our passion. We have worked hard and acted on our own accord to attain success and material comfort. With inexhaustible focus are we targeting our specific aims and invest our energy in the honing of our skills. Moreover, we appreciate what is now available to us, knowing that the worst is over. Therefore, it is important that we stick to our program and exercise self-discipline until we have achieved that level of sophistication we’re striving for.

Astro-Notes on July 28, 2012 – a new quality of will

The Moon made ingress to Sagittarius at 1:17 am EDT this morning, raising our optimism, enterprising spirit and sportsmanship, while setting us in the mood to wander, explore and expand our horizons. However, we could also be inclined toward intolerance and self-righteousness. Retrograde Mercury in Leo’s semi-square to Venus in Gemini, who forms a quincunx to Juno in Scorpio, urges us to adapt our desires and preferences in a way that allows room for shared values and joint ventures and is based on mutual understanding, which requires that we reconsider personal ideas or plans we’ve had in regard to socializing, fun and play and enjoying ourselves. As Mercury follows up with his inferior conjunction to the Sun in Leo, a new quality of will is imprinted upon the mental faculties and fresh ideas may be conceived in this context and in particular what our self-expression, self-realization and the affirmation of our Beingness concerns.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Swords”, suggesting that we need to look at a difficult situation from a new angle and with a different perspective. Because our thinking is limited and we’re struggling to see a way out of our dilemma, it is imperative that we open our eyes to the options that lay in front of us. There are choices available, but in order to recognize them, we have to get into the right mindset first.

The onset of the Olympic Games in London (including the Opening Ceremony) is a perfect example for the energy-weather of the last couple of days. Personal News are that I didn’t drive to Grand Bend yesterday after work, because I was overly tired and there was too much traffic everywhere, which would have required a better ability to concentrate on my part (yep, this coincided with the long void of course Moon period). Besides, thunderstorms were forecast for the evening. Indeed, a few showers have come our way and as a consequence it cooled down considerably. But the sun is coming out from behind the clouds now. So, I might be going on a drive around noon. At least, I had enough time to work on my friend’s Solar Return chart, which is something I gift to my important others.

Astro-Notes on July 27, 2012 – new ventures

A sextile from retrograde Mercury in Leo to Vesta in Gemini provides us with an opportunity to invest our

energy into new channels for the creative expression of our ideas and allows us to refocus on projects or personal plans we have been having in mind and wanted to dedicate us toward since we first conceived them.

Tarot card of the day is the “Ace of Pentacles”, indicating a new beginning that involves the material aspect of our lives. New investments and business ventures are becoming available. We can proceed with trust and take advantage of what works for us, while focusing on concrete results and on the manifestation of our goals. We can make a real-world impact; we’re experiencing growth, a feeling of prosperity and abundance, we flourish and draw to us what we need. Moreover, we operate from a known position, have a support system and can achieve tangible results.

Personal Note: Today is my friend Lee Ann’s birthday and since I will only work a short shift, I’ll be paying her a visit at her store in Grand Bend this afternoon. It’s about time that we reconnect and a have  good time together.

Astro-Notes on July 26, 2012 – catharsis and renewal

The waxing Scorpio Moon squared the Leo Sun this morning at 4:56 am EDT, marking the First Quarter Moon Phase of the Cancer lunation cycle, which brings us a test in resilience and resourcefulness after a ‘violent storm confronted us with social upheaval, resulting in a catharsis that forces us to reconsider static values’ (Sabian Symbol for the Cancer New Moon). With retrograde Mercury in Leo in quincunx to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, this concerns our ability to ‘bounce back’ from this experience by rethinking our attitude in this situation and shifting our attention toward regeneration and renewal , while focusing our mind on establishing and structuring personal influence in our affairs.

Tarot card of the day is “The Fool”, referring to unlimited potential, new beginnings, a sense of innocence and naivety. Anything can happen as we start on this journey. We could be taken into unchartered territory and thus need to be aware of the risks and dangers we could encounter, but also need to be ready to take on the opportunities presented to us. This card encourages us to have faith, calls upon us to trust and believe in our spirit and to follow our heart.

Headlines in the news are: “150 attend first funeral in Aurora, Colorado” – “Mother of slain man in Anaheim, California pleads ‘Stop the violence’” – “Does the Olympic spirit live on?” – “Nuclear ghost town stirs to life” – “Secretary of State H.R. Clinton is calling on the IOC to honor the victims of the Munich massacre”

Astro-Notes on July 25, 2012 – assessment of progress

Retrograde Mercury in Leo’s trine to retrograde Uranus in Aries could bring unexpected news in regard to

our creative ideas and plans for self-unfolding, which could propel us to refocus on the changes we had in mind in the context of personal independence and progress. With the Sun in Leo also casting a trine to the North Node in Sagittarius (sextile South Node in Gemini), a light is shone on our long-term future prospects that allows us to find out more about our destiny and life’s direction as we take advantage of an opportunity provided by connections from the past or as past records about our performance work out in a way that offers us a glimpse into the future. After the Moon’s ingress to Scorpio at 10:29 pm EDT will we seek depth and intensity of feelings through merging, sharing and joint ventures with trusted others.

Tarot card of the day is the “7 of Pentacles”, suggesting slow growth. The seeds have been sown, but there is no sign yet that they have germinated. Or, there is a chance that success has produced just rewards and thus, it’s now time to reflect and plan for the future. In any case, some things are moving along well, making us feel hopeful about the future, while others seem to be pointless. Consequently, we are applying a long-term view and focus on sustainability of results. At this point, we have to assess which of our energy investments are worth it and where we might have to change direction. Thus, we are taking stock, reflecting on our progress, questioning our choices and find out where we stand or where we are headed toward.
