The Sun in Leo forms a sextile with Saturn in Libra prior to his monthly meeting with the Moon for the New Moon event that will happen at 11:54 am EDT in the sign of Leo. Thus, we’re entering this new lunation cycle with a sense of structure that provides us with the feeling to be in control of our life, at least what the juggling of our responsibilities concerns. There is a chance that we can resolve a relationship situation, where we have been co-dependent in some way, to our personal advantage.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 25:08 Leo states:
“After the heavy storm, a rainbow. Keynote: Linking above and below, the covenant with one’s divine nature, promise of immortality – REVELATION OF WORTH.”
(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolic Phases”, Page 147)
Having withstood the storm or cathartic experience we underwent, and thus successfully met the crisis, we have established inner strength together with a sense of stability and solidity, while firmly standing our ground. As a consequence, our ‘new’ self-reliance leads to liberation from the past through recognition of our worthiness and validation of Self. This allows us to move on with our life. Therefore, with this new lunation cycle we’ll be planting the seeds for the fulfillment of our personal role and purpose. After the Moon’s ingress to Virgo at 8:33 pm EDT will we focus on efficiency, functionality and improvement in general. A sesqui-quadrate from the Sun in Leo to retrograde Pallas in Aries later tonight urges us to review and eventually revise our personal strategies, whereby we are encouraged to concentrate on our sense of Self and creative Self-realization.
Tarot card of the day is the “6 of Swords”, which indicates a slight reduction in stress and strain. Things will be better than they were in the recent past, all of which is helpful to get our head above water. The bottom has been reached and the process of healing has begun. There is finality in this journey. The future is not yet visible, but the past is definitely over. We’re moving away from turbulence toward calmer times and will need to make a transition that is better for us in the long-term.
Happy Birthday to my dear friend Diane Littlejohns!
