Astro-Notes on December 1, 2012 – ‘holy days’

Mercury in Scorpio’s sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Uranus in Aries on which he follows up with a quincunx to retrograde Vesta in Gemini urge us to be self-conscious about our compulsive or subconscious reactions to changes and new trends and thus to make choices in our mutual interests, especially if socializing is on our agenda and spending money or getting deeper into debt is part of the situation. Therefore, we have to take heart before we say or do something we could regret later on and have to be clear about as well as flexible in regard to the things or the people we truly hold sacred. As retrograde Jupiter in Gemini receives quincunx aspects from Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Capricorn, with the latter also engaged in a semi-square to the North Node in Scorpio (sesqui-quadrate South Node in Taurus), a rethinking of our personal truth and reviewing of our beliefs, convictions and principles is required in order to find out what these matters and contacts or connections really mean to us and add to our life, which will enable us to understand the spirit of the ‘holy days’ (Christmas) and be motivated accordingly, while adjusting our values and priorities in this sense and toward this purpose. It is imperative that we influence our future prospects with firm resolve and in a constructive and productive manner that necessitates that we take steps and apply an effort to get out of a stuck situation and secure our shared future based on the quality of life we used to pursue in the past. With retrograde Ceres in Cancer in trine to Neptune in Pisces as the stage-setting background aspect, we nurture our higher ideals and are aware of our commonality and dependency and are receptive for the visions we need to support together with the ‘vibe’ of solidarity we wish to evoke.

Tarot card of the day is the “10 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we have a great deal to be thankful for, based on an all-round improvement in our life. We’re moving beyond makeshift arrangements toward creating a lasting foundation. By recognizing our talents and abilities we will achieve promotion and ultimately, financial gain, as we’re reaching a point of completion and accomplishment. Seeing our ventures flourish will lead to our enjoyment of affluence and business success as well as to the finding of solutions that will last.

In the news: U.S. President Obama presses congress in the stalemate over fiscal cliff – at the same time, the image of the NYPD officer who gave boots to a barefoot man (Pisces connection) circulates around the web (Jupiter in Gemini) – such is life in the U.S. , the land of the ‘divided’.

Personal Note: I’ll be spending the day with my daughter in London to which I’m really looking forward to. It’s one of our personal ‘holy days’ we have planned for some time in advance.
