Astro-Notes on December 6, 2012 – test of judgment

A semi-sextile from the Sun in Sagittarius to Mars in Capricorn together with a quincunx from Venus in Scorpio to retrograde Vesta in Gemini indicate that we know we have to do what’s necessary and constructive in this situation, even though it’s not an option we prefer or can afford. Because we may feel powerless under these circumstances, we need to review and rethink the things and causes we hold sacred and adjust our values accordingly amidst the crisis in consciousness we’re undergoing at the Third Quarter Moon phase of the Scorpio lunation cycle that transpires at 10:31 am EST, when we are challenged to resolve problems, while putting things into perspective, especially in long-term view, which is a test of our judgment of these matters. Therefore, at this stage in the cycle we’re asked to check, repair and improve our “hunting and shooting techniques or gear and equipment” (the Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio New Moon was “Hunters shooting wild duck”) to be able to remain in the hunt and ‘score’ something at all.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Swords”, suggesting that we need to look at a difficult situation from a new angle and with a different perspective. Because our thinking is limited and we’re struggling to see a way out of our dilemma, it is imperative that we open our eyes to the options that lay in front of us. There are choices available, but in order to recognize them, we have to get into the right mindset first.

Personal Note: So, the news for me has been less than thrilling. Although the current issues my old car has can be repaired, the question is: Is it worth it? – considering the shape the car is in, it’s age and the kilometers it has on it, the problems with the electronic it has and that it would also need a set of new tires and who knows what else. My ex’s answer to this is no and he seems to be having a car available for me through a friend of his. However, there is still the “little” matter of payment or credit. Besides, as I failed to catch up on things, other things have caught up on me.
