As the Sun’s conjunction with Juno in Capricorn perfects (his sextile to Neptune perfected very early in the
morning), we begin a new cycle that combines our sense of Self with our relationship principle in this solidifying, structuring and form-giving sign, implying that as we will be working on consolidating our identity, character or role in these established dynamics, we’ll be managing our interactions with others from a more firm, realistic and serious standpoint over time. Another aspect that perfects today is retrograde Jupiter in Gemini’s quincunx to Saturn in Scorpio as the former also receives an opposition from Venus in Sagittarius, which triggers the Yod configuration from this side and “begs” for solutions to the dilemma. In the larger scheme of things, especially what the developments on the world stage concerns, the widely ‘publicized’ end of the world has not happened (or, at least not in the way the majority of us humans had believed). However, in our personal and daily lives, we’ve been undergoing emotional crises of one kind or another (since Cupid knocked at the door of our hearts – Sabian Symbol for the Lunar Eclipse), which made all this hype seemingly fade in comparison. Harsh realities force us to step into the ‘shadows’ and deal with this part of our nature, while learning to understand the complexities of life and to accept the things that are beyond our control and ‘regulation’, for which we might not have answers, search for the “whys” or try to make sense of them, but also have to recognize that there are actually things we can influence and situations in which we have power and have to stand up for our values and needs. This is the dilemma exemplified in the Yod or finger of God. With Venus at the midpoint of the configuration our values are the most important factor in this ‘equation’ and therefore the question or confrontation is about ‘what do we value more or hold in higher regard and what do these values (whether they concern things, people, issues, attributes or attachments etc.) mean to us. As Pallas in Pisces forms a trine with the North Node in Scorpio (sextile South Node in Taurus), “we’re answering the door for Cupid” and let him enter into our HEART as we unite in mind and spirit, ‘undefeated’ and focused on our common goals, thereby holding each other in our hearts. Finally, we go with the flow instead of resisting it or trying to force our way. This is indeed the end of the world as we’ve known it. The seeds of renewal have been planted. After the Moon’s ingress to Taurus at 1:25 pm EST and instant sextile to Neptune in Pisces will we seek out comfort and routine and fall into our natural rhythm.
Tarot card of the day is “Strength”, suggesting that we draw upon our inner strength and the power of our spirit and will. With compassion and understanding can we handle the most difficult situation and also tame the beast within. We have the ability to be tolerant, forgiving and accepting and thus can gently influence our environment. Furthermore, we can be assured that we have enough endurance to see things through to their end and get a lot accomplished.
