Astro-Notes on March 27, 2013 – Libra Full Moon

Today, the square between Jupiter in Gemini and Chiron in Pisces reaches perfection for the 3rd time (1st aspect perfection was on July 24, 2012 with Chiron in retrograde motion and 2nd aspect perfection was on January 15, 2013 with Jupiter in retrograde motion) in synch with the Libra Full Moon, which transpired at 5:27 am EDT. Consequently, it’s time to turn a corner regarding the issue in question for us and thus to decide among the diverse possibilities and options, which are available to us, in order to escape from or end a victimizing situation that has gone on for too long. However, awareness of the concept of duality in this context and thus, of opposites and contradictions – within as well as without, is necessary to be able to see the situation holistically or from a cosmic perspective. As the impulse seeded at the time of the Pisces New Moon culminates together with the one that sounded forth with the Libra New Moon on October 15 of last year, the ‘mandate we’re carrying’ (keyword of the Sabian Symbol for the Pisces New Moon) ‘needs to face the antagonism of powers of darkness’ (keynote for the Sabian Symbol of the Libra Full Moon) through ‘the realization of the dual nature of man and of the possibilities this implies’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Sun in Aries) as the ‘chanticleer’ (Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon in October 2012) becomes the ‘hawk’ from whom the chickens need to be protected’ (Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon in Libra).

Libra Full Moon 2013

The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 6:52 Libra states:

“A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from the hawks. Keynote: The need to face the antagonism of ‘powers of darkness’ as one attempts to feed the minds of as yet helpless and frightened apprentices- GUARDIANSHIP.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 6:52 Aries states:

“A man succeeds in expressing himself simultaneously in two realms. Keynote: The first realization of the dual nature of man and of the possibilities it implies – LIVING TWO SEPARATE LIVES.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 176 and 54, respectively)

Implied by these symbolical pictures is that all too often we’re becoming victims of our own beliefs, convictions and perception of

the situation, falling ‘prey’ to our ignorance and remaining blissfully unaware of our inflexibility and intolerance or closed mind toward options we have. The woman represents the feminine principle, which refers to the need for an ‘inclusive, all-encompassing viewpoint’. Therefore, by reconciling our inner conflicts and contradictions we can find ways to bridge outer circumstances and ‘respond to life’s renewals’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon in October 2012) by ‘successfully expressing ourselves in two realms’ (Sabian Symbol for the Sun in Aries).

Tarot card of the day is “The Hierophant”, representing traditional values and moral development. This card is suggesting that we stay within conventional bounds and follow established social structures and traditions. There is a need to conform to rules or fixed situations and to go along with the program. We are working as part of a team and are doing the right thing. This concerns especially the bridging of the earthly and divine, which can be achieved by using our situation or particular circumstances to transcend as yet unevolved aspects of ourselves. A gateway to higher consciousness is open for us today that allows us to access the sacred as we try to understand the inner world.
