Astro-Notes on April 30, 2013 – connecting with the yin principle

A semi-sextile between the Sun in Taurus and Uranus in Aries requires a personal adjustment to new trends or changed

activities, which interfere with our usual routine. With Mercury in Aries in semi-square aspect to Chiron in Pisces, it is critical to be aware of the wounding and healing principle and thus of the impact our words can have, in particular since we could be feeling tired or burnt out as a result of these changes. Also, we might have a tough time to keep focused or being receptive toward the ‘human condition’ and could be trying to enforce our ideas or viewpoint. Therefore, any issues that might arise need to be treated with higher values in mind to be able to bridge these situations.

Tarot card of the day is “The Empress”, suggesting a deep connection with the yin principle and thus with our feminine side. It’s a day when we create beauty in our lives and experience our sensuality. Those ideas that have been growing and developing inside us can be brought forward. There is a caring and nurturing vibe in our surroundings. The situation is pregnant with possibility.

Astro-Notes on April 29, 2013 – a rainy day

A trine between Ceres in Cancer and retrograde Saturn in Scorpio marks the finalization of a sub-cycle of growth during which we renewed our support structures together with our own authority by removing the last obstacles preventing us from mastering outer conditions as well as inner nature. Consequently, since the Moon’s ingress to Capricorn at 8:21 am EDT have we been feeling readier and more serious about our responsibilities and accomplishments. With Vesta in Cancer engaged in a sesqui-quadrate to the North Node in Scorpio (semi-square South Node in Taurus), it is critical that we seek to influence our future prospects through the support of personal causes and by feeding energy into the projects we need to take care of instead of indulging in non-productive patterns.

Tarot card of the day is the “5 of Swords”, suggesting that we’re dealing with mixed feelings about life in general and experiencing conflict or discord – inner as well as outer. The more important is it to pick our battles wisely and think before we act. There are boundaries and limitations in life situations we must accept, even though they could make us feel powerless. In this regard, we must overcome ourselves and focus on our needs in order to regain our composure. On the other hand, this card can indicate victory or achievement, which has been well-deserved and long-awaited, but only if we don’t give in to defeat.

Personal Notes: As a result of the cooperation of family and associates I completed a list of personal references for my job search and am now in the process of updating my personal business documents – resume, cover letter etc. At the same time, I’m preparing for a consultation. It’s a rainy day here and there’s lots to do around the apartment as well.

Astro-Notes on April 28, 2013 – a new dawn of creativity

The Sun in Taurus’ opposition to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio confronts us with an inner conflict as situations are getting

more complex and complicated, which provides the necessary trigger that compels us out of a state of complacency. With Venus in Taurus engaged in a semi-square to Vesta in Cancer, then passing over the South Node (opposition to North Node in Scorpio) and moving in a semi-sextile aspect with Jupiter in Gemini, we feel the pressure of personal causes that need to be taken care of, of destiny as yet unfulfilled, though within grasp and of new possibilities and options we’re sensing in this regard, all of which requires an effort on our part to be able to ensure and secure our values and assets.

Tarot card of the day is the “Page of Wands”, suggesting news related to business or otherwise and a positive awareness of the future or ‘to expect the unexpected’. There are new possibilities, which demand from us to be courageous and daring as we rediscover purpose. This card represents ‘a new dawn’ that is a new beginning of a phase in which the creative spark must be developed and given a new lease on life, calling upon us to express ourselves from our heart. It’s a day to be positive and spontaneous as well as lively and energetic, when we should pursue our creative vision with enthusiasm.

Personal Notes: Things have indeed taken on a life of their own since the Lunar Eclipse, causing me to feel a bit ‘burdened’ by all the obligations and tasks I have to fulfill. Even worse, now that we finally have nice, warm weather, I couldn’t go outside on a walk as my maternal family connections kept me busy on the phone. So, I might have to take pen and paper with me should I find the time to stroll through the area this afternoon.

Astro-Notes on April 27, 2013 – collaborating for the sake of our interests

Since the Moon’s ingress to Sagittarius at 7:31 am EDT have we been feeling more enthusiastic, optimistic and enterprising. As Mercury meets Eris in conjunction in Aries, our self-interests have come to the forefront of our mind, propelled by a new idea or impetus related to existential questions that will motivate us to take the initiative for our own sake and survival. Consequently, self-determination is high today. With the Sun in Taurus engaged in a sextile to Ceres in Cancer, we can take advantage of supporting developments to sustain and secure our own growth and prospering. The perfection of Jupiter in Gemini’s quincunx to the North Node in Scorpio (semi-sextile South Node in Taurus) shows that we’ve adjusted our perspective and focus on options, which enable us to take control over our future prospects based on opportunities or beneficial connections we have cultivated in the past.

Tarot card of the day is the “3 of Pentacles”, a card that refers to encouragement due to cooperation and collaboration. Teamwork and planning are the essential ingredients toward the achievement of our goals. We’re taking the next step toward becoming established. Improvement of our situation and success are possible if we apply the necessary effort and show persistence.

In the news: After his arrival in Canada yesterday, Prince Philip begins his Toronto visit. He already was awarded the highest level of the Order of Canada. Personally, my daughter asked me for support as she’s going to move her belongings out of her and her ex-partner’s home.

Astro-Notes on April 26, 2013 – the necessary drive

A semi-square between Mercury in Aries and Neptune in Pisces is followed by a sextile from Mars in Taurus to the latter,

indicating that it is important at this time to do something about disillusioning circumstances, where we seem to be on the losing end, before it’s too late. Therefore, we need to act quickly to save the day, be practical and productive and keep up our efforts, being persuasive as well as persistent in our approach to meet our expectations and ideals. We want to leave a positive, lasting impression and should be motivated accordingly. With the perfection of the semi-sextile between Juno in Aquarius and Chiron in Pisces, an adjustment in a relationship situation is required in order for us to be able to receive some kind of closure or see a way out of a difficult situation.

Tarot card of the day is the “Ace of Wands”, suggesting an upsurge of ideas and imagination and the drive and energy necessary to undertake such projects. There is the promise of motion, direction and positive energy and thus, we could be feeling quite energetic and enthusiastic as well as optimistic and hopeful for the future. Today we’re driven by a strong, creative force, proceed with courage and confidence and expand our potential.

In the news: In this horrible, preventable accident in the wake of the Lunar Eclipse, which was caused by corporate greed (the “gold rush” – Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio Full Moon), Bangladesh rescuers dig deeper as death toll passes now 300. Personally, I’m taking my chances in the sudden leave of one of our assistant managers to get some job-related advice.

Astro-Notes on April 25, 2013 – Partial Lunar Eclipse/Scorpio Full Moon

Venus in Taurus squares Juno in Aquarius and then participates in the Pallas-Chiron sextile by forming a conjunction with the former and a sextile with the latter. Challenged to change certain relationship dynamics to be able to meet our personal values and security needs – whether this concerns the emotional, material or financial aspect of them – and build up the lifestyle we want, we can take advantage of our acquired wisdom, or even insider knowledge, together with internal connections and good relations we sustained and invested in to close the gap between wishing or wanting and having or materializing. Our continuing pursuit and unwavering perseverance in the ‘chase’ after our dreams and desires will eventually receive validation and pay off as long as we keep up our proven strategies, ensure we’re focusing on the common good and are aware of higher values.

Since the Moon’s ingress to Scorpio at 6:25 am EDT have our feelings reached a deeper and darker level, triggering subconscious impulses and longings. The Moon will be full at 3:57 pm EDT, reaching the peak of the Aries lunation cycle in a Partial Lunar Eclipse, which intensifies the effect and impact upon our inner landscape. In the same sense, as the fully illumined Moon disc disappears in the dark umbra of the Earth’s shadow during a Partial Lunar Eclipse, does “the light” reach into the “farthest corner” of our emotional body and psyche, bringing sudden illumination that touches us profoundly.

Partial Lunar Eclipse-Scorpio Full Moon 2013

The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 5:45 Scorpio states:

“The gold rush tears men away from their native soil. Keynote: The passionate search for new values which, at any level, promise a more abundant life – AVIDITY.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 5:45 Taurus states:

“Cantilever bridge across a deep gorge. Keynote: The conquest of separativeness through group cooperation – CONQUER OBSTACLES.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 195 and 74, respectively)

As the seed impulse planted at the time of the Aries New Moon culminates together with the one that sounded forth with the Scorpio New Moon/Solar Eclipse back in November 2012, the boxer entering the ring (Sabian Symbol for the Aries New Moon) is driven by the gold rush (Sabian Symbol for the Moon in Scorpio) and the hunters shooting wild ducks (Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio New Moon) have to conquer the obstacles presented by a deep gorge that separates (Sabian Symbol for the Sun in Taurus) them from their ‘targets’. Therefore, compelled by this avidity and arousal of our passions (the effect of the Lunar Eclipse), we’re becoming conquerors – of outer nature as well as of our inner nature, putting the full power of our will and resources behind our desires, while pulling our weight and crossing over or making the transition required to reach ‘the promised land’ or the prize that’s awaiting us.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Swords”, suggesting that we need to look at a difficult situation from a new angle and with a different perspective. Because our thinking is limited and we’re struggling to see a way out of our dilemma, it is imperative that we open our eyes to the options that lay in front of us. There are choices available, but in order to recognize them, we have to get into the right mindset first.

In the news: Bitcoin: A modern day gold rush? There is now a race on to find the most powerful computer system to calculate the mathematical ‘hashes’ for generating bitcoins. People started with general-purpose computers, but quickly moved on to graphics cards. These cards excel at moving numbers around so that they can display complicated graphics, and this makes them good at the heavy mathematical lifting required for bitcoin mining.

Astro-Notes on April 24, 2013 – disentangling ourselves

Mercury in Ariesquincunx to the North Node in Scorpio (semi-sextile South Node in Taurus) shows an adjustment in plans or schedules we made as we align our focus with our life’s direction and evolving future prospects to be able to move away from past conditions that keep us stuck in a rut. As Venus in Taurus trines retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun in Taurus forms a sextile with Neptune in Pisces, we have succeeded in mastering our life’s circumstances in a way that allowed us to preserve our personal values, assets and relationships and as a consequence, feel accomplished and empowered. This provides us with a chance to add more quality to our life, to cultivate awareness and gratitude, and to feel positive about the realization of our vision and dreams. Pallas in Taurussquare to Juno in Aquarius tests our personal politics as we seek to change certain relationship dynamics that have proved to be unproductive and unreliable in this context. Vesta will make ingress to Cancer at 8:45 pm EDT, where she will be traversing until July 6, which corresponds to a period when things concerning our home and family become more sacred to us and when we are therefore growing in our dedication and devotion toward our roots, while committing us to support, bonding and belonging. “Home is where the heart is.”

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Cups”, suggesting that we’re leaving a situation that is no longer working for us. It is important to know though that good times lie ahead. By realizing that the current cycle is over, we’re disentangling ourselves and moving on. We’re starting on a journey of discovery and seek deeper meaning.  This is a card of change and transition.
