Astro-Notes on May 31, 2013 – dawning realizations

Before Mercury in Gemini and Mars in Taurus made ingress to Cancer and Gemini this morning, they formed a last degree semi-sextile, emphasizing a last chance adjustment we had to do or at least to address in regard to a communication-related issue if we want things to continue as usual and ensure ends are met. With retrograde Saturn in Scorpio now engaged in a trine to Neptune in Pisces, important realizations have been made as the missing pieces fall into place and finalizing steps are being taken. For some, an era comes to an end – for others, their sense of structure has been renewed or transformed due to the completion of lessons and experiences, which left a deep impact. Mercury’s ingress to Cancer, where he will be traversing until August 8 due to an impending retrograde, happened at 3:06 am EDT and Mars’ ingress to Mercury-ruled Gemini, where he will be transiting until July 13, transpired at 6:38 am EDT. These energy shifts started a period during which we seek to support our plans, ideas and projects and to nurture and foster issues of communication, connectivity and mobility and this influences the way we will approach matters from now on and take action. Also, we will be more flexible and adaptable in our ‘modus operanti’, even multi-task as we keep ourselves busy. As the waning Pisces Moon squares the Gemini Sun at 2:58 pm EDT, marking the Third Quarter Moon phase in the Taurus lunation cycle, the accompanying crisis in consciousness challenges us to overcome a sense of loss, disappointment or disillusionment due to disconnectedness, miscommunication or cancellation of plans or other news and signs, which fail to meet our expectations. The ‘spiritual forces (or karma) at work’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon) have opened our eyes, even illuminated us in many ways, but didn’t show us how to proceed from there.

Tarot card of the day is “The World”, signifying the end of a cycle and/or the final and successful completion of any issue at hand. We have arrived at our destination or have reached the culmination of a long series of events. There is a dawning realization and understanding of where we are at. What goes around comes around.

Personal News: I called up my daughter and ex-husband to set up an appointment for my car to get the tire exchanged and also to inquire how to deal with my mail and internet security provider’s change for which the window hasn’t popped up anymore. Just hope this can still be resolved. My landlord, who was around the last couple of days, but never showed, finally called me this morning when I was in the shower. Although I returned his call, I couldn’t reach him and thus, he won’t have his rent cheque for next month. The cheque is written and the money is in the account, but, hey, if you can only come around the last minute, you have to take your chances.

Astro-Notes on May 30, 2013 – hang on in there

A sesqui-quadrate between Ceres in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces urges us to take care of unfinished business and also not to lose sight of our vision or dreams, but to live up to our own expectations and help those supportive developments along or at least to hang on, not giving up or succumbing now that we’re almost there. After the Moon’s ingress to Pisces at 8:29 pm EDT will we feel more attuned and in ‘the flow’, while listening to our imagination, higher sensitivities and other subtle influences.

Tarot card of the day is the “7 of Wands”, suggesting that we’re coming out on top of a situation after a period of struggle as things are going well and projects move right along. Thus, we seize the opportunity, are firm and act resolutely as we’re going after what we want. We stand our ground and show determination, even in the face of adversity. Our inner strength and tenacity give us the ability to meet all challenges head-on.

Astro-Notes on May 29, 2013 – commitments and sacrifices

Vesta in Cancer receives a semi-square from Mars in Taurus and forms a trine with Chiron in Pisces, which is urging us to remain persistent as well as unwavering in the pursuit of the things we hold sacred and thus, what the fostering of our causes and the commitment to home and family (real or spiritual one) concerns and to keep up our productivity to be able to take care of these things in order to nurture them to fruition or ensure their blossoming. Depending on how well we’ve done in regard to our spiritual growth and the sacrifices we’ve made to keep things together, we could be receiving the blessings now (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon), while becoming aware of the sources of support we can rely on or the bonds we can always count on. As a result, we might feel safe (or even saved) and protected.

Tarot card of the day is the “Ace of Cups”, suggesting that love is the essence of the situation and that positive energy and emotion can be created, if we let our heart lead the way and empathize with others. This is a time of giving and peacemaking, when we have a new opportunity to help or bring happiness to others. It can represent the beginning of a project in which a great deal of loving and creative energy are invested. We are at a point in our life where we are comfortable with who we are and express that part to others. Moreover, we see new potential, are open to new possibilities as well as to the stimulation of our imagination, which allows our creative juices to flow and our talents to unfold.

Astro-Notes on May 28, 2013 – things are coming together

Venus’ conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini brings values, talents, assets or resources, people and concepts, options and

possibilities together in the connective sign Gemini. Thus, we’re starting a new sub-cycle during which we have opportunities to attract others of like mind through a variety of artsy outlets so that we can sell what we have to offer, disseminate our various gifts, add quality and ‘greatness’ to our encounters and exchanges, spread our principle of love and address priorities, security needs and prosperity in a social sense and larger context. After the Moon’s ingress to Aquarius at 5:48 pm EDT will we feel more inspired or stimulated in this regard and seek to network or collaborate with our social circle. With the Sun in Gemini casting a semi-square to Eris in Aries, it is critical that we bring forth the competitive side of our personality and promote our self-interests. Pallas will make ingress to Gemini late in the night at 11:07 pm EDT, where she will be traversing until July 21, which corresponds to a period when we use clever and swift strategies, are flexible and adaptable in our tactics and employ our politics locally or in our close surroundings, while moving quickly and keeping ourselves busy.

Tarot card of the day is the “Queen of Swords”, suggesting that we’re finding mental clarity, apply logic and objectivity to a situation and work on problem-solving and detachment from emotions in order to be able to judge and discern impartially. We’re cutting to the chase and get straight to the point. The situation demands that we come into our own by finding independence and autonomy and having the courage of our convictions.

Astro-Notes on May 27, 2013 – controlling the “truth”

The Sun in Gemini’s quincunx to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio indicates a personal adjustment in the way we deal with

structures, control and obligations by either stepping up to the plate and fulfilling our responsibilities or holding ourselves accountable OR by avoiding responsibility altogether and simply shifting blame to others. Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini indicates the availability of all kinds of channels for our ideas and messages to broadcast or spread. In fact, we have plenty of options to get our personal opinion across and to get ‘known’ for it. Moreover, the concept of duality runs high today and thus can be recognized, demonstrated and understood by a greater number of people. This also starts a new sub-cycle that will set us on a new or different course thinking- and relating-wise, while providing us with many opportunities for mental growth and also allowing for greater connectivity as we see or think of new possibilities to learn, inform, meet or get together and communicate. With Venus in Gemini’s sextile aspect to Eris in Aries, we have a chance to win others over by showcasing a more authentic side of our nature.

Tarot card of the day is the “King of Wands”, a card that represents increasing belief in ourselves and rising self-confidence. We’re focusing our intent and learn to act in the moment. Strongly motivated and engaged, we know we will succeed. This is a day to be courageous, entrepreneurial and to reach for our goals. Moreover, we have the ability to control our environment and live our life with intent and vision. It’s important to remain focused on our long-term goals. Opportunities coming our way today have to be navigated with a clear sense of direction and the understanding that we’re the determining factor in this situation and can tackle any challenge.

Astro-Notes on May 26, 2013 – finding autonomy

Mercury in Gemini casts a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio and a sextile to Eris in Aries, which lays emphasis on a review of our circumstances to be able to renew our authority together with a sense of structure and control based on new information or plans. Input and feedback we got in this regard can be taken advantage of, especially in connection to our self-interests. The perfection of the Sun-Neptune square challenges us to deal with any remaining uncertainties in order to gain clarity and find the ideal way for us personally amidst all the buzz and busyness to see our vision through. With Mars in Taurus engaged in a semi-square to Uranus in Aries and Venus in Gemini repeating the sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio, it is critical make progress on several fronts by asserting ourselves productively and sustaining the movement or momentum we’ve started, while also removing any last or remaining obstacles, which are standing in the way of new relationships and diverse ways of validation. After the Moon’s ingress to Capricorn at 5:28 pm EDT will we feel more established and accomplished as well as prepared to work on the achievement of our goals.

Astro-Notes on May 25, 2013 – Sagittarius Full Moon/Lunar Appulse Eclipse

Right at the beginning of this day at 00:24 am EDT did the Sagittarius Full Moon/Lunar Appulse Eclipse transpire, which has brought us to a peak or highpoint in the cycle that provides us with a measure of success and failure in regard to the issues, which have been coming forward or initiated with the start of the cycle and, even in a larger context, back at the time of the Sagittarius New Moon in December of last year. For me personally, with the Moon-Sun opposition squaring my natal Mars in Virgo in 12, my “self-undoing” has been revealed in the ways I failed to take action, even though I was aware of the necessity for it and had been given the time over these long winter months to “smarten up”. Well, I’m ready for it now and will put in a “concentrated” effort (eclipse energy), while also not waiting on others anymore – whether this concerns their cooperation or their willingness to let me use their space – Neptune, who squares the lunar eclipse, is conjunct my Descendant-Vesta conjunction. Another aspect that perfects today is a tense sesqui-quadrate between Mars in Taurus and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, pressuring us into reviewing and reorganizing the approaches we use to influence our circumstances in order to become more productive and be able to achieve tangible results. While Jupiter’s sextile to Eris in tandem with the Uranus-Pluto square brought forth a vibe in the sense of “who doesn’t dare, doesn’t succeed or win”, it is important as we have seen from numerous examples, by which ethics and morals our actions are guided and also how we interpret the truth or by which ideals we live and thus, which sacrifices or ends justify the means for us (eclipse square Neptune in Pisces). Therefore, it’s time to admit our ‘failures and weaknesses’, where we went wrong and were misguided and set intentions toward a more constructive use of our potential, while taking the next step in our evolution.

Sagittarius Full Moon-Appulse Lunar Eclipse 2013

Eclipse mechanics:

“A lunar eclipse occurs when the full moon enters the Earth’s shadow. Since the Moon “shines” only by reflecting light from the Sun, the full moon seems to disappear when it is eclipsed. Depending on which parts of the Earth’s shadow the full moon passes through (which depends on how close the full moon is to the lunar nodes), a lunar eclipse can be one of three main types. In the situation where the Moon misses the umbra entirely and only enters the penumbra (either grazing it or being completely immersed in it), an appulse (or penumbral) lunar eclipse is formed. The Moon’s surface is only slightly dimmed during an appulse. In fact, the casual observer may not even notice this kind of eclipse, since the change in appearance is so subtle. The astrological effect of an appulse is far from subtle, however.” (http://members.bitstream.net/~bunlion/bpi/EclGeom.html)

Tarot card of the day is the “Knight of Swords”, indicating that we’re embarking on a new project or idea and there’s no stopping us. We’re headstrong and outspoken as we know what we are talking about and let others know where we or they stand, thereby going straight to the point. Certain things can no longer be avoided – the confrontation will come and commence. Yet, there is great ambition, determination and strength as our physical, emotional and spiritual energy is at a peak. Group discussions with like-minded people are best suited to inspire and motivate one another.
