Astro-Notes on May 3, 2013 – pursuing our own ends

Today, all the Taurus energies are involved in aspects, which should make for a ‘fruitful’ and enjoyable day when our affairs run smoothly, we see the ‘beauty’ around us and indulge our senses. Mercury, the Sun and Mars in Taurus each form a sextile Mercury with Vesta in Cancer, the Sun with Chiron in Pisces and Mars with Ceres in Cancer, whereas Venus in Taurus, the dispositor over these energies, is engaged in a semi-sextile to Eris in Aries and Pallas in Taurus perfects her conjunction with the South Node (opposition North Node in Scorpio). Consequently, we can take advantage of our personal circumstances to find healing as well as closure by focusing on the things that are sacred to us, the projects and causes we seek to sustain and foster and which are providing our life with quality and our spirit with nourishment. Our intentions are ‘simple’ and we’re motivated to support the maternal, nurturing principle, while pursuing our self-interests in order to feel good and at peace again. Using the resources we have together with our accumulated experiences and talents or assets from the past, we’re directing our attention toward our desired destination. After the Moon’s ingress to Pisces at 2:25 pm EDT will we tune in to our imagination and feel more idealistic and inspired.

Tarot card of the day is “The Chariot”, suggesting that we take control and move forward with care. There is a need to remain focused and to keep the emotions in check. We need to harness our energy and apply it wisely. Self-discipline is important to be able to balance the light and shadow aspects of our personality.

Personally, I was quite shocked how late it already was this morning when I woke. It seems like my body needed the sleep to recuperate. I have to catch up on a few things that have accumulated or await completion and want to be able to spend this afternoon outside in nature. But first I need to compose a cover letter to take care of my future prospects.
