Astro-Notes on June 16, 2013 – Father’s Day

Venus in Cancer’s trine to the North Node in Scorpio (sextile South Node in Taurus) shows that trust in our future prospects has been restored and that we’re feeling better about the fulfillment of our values and life goals or at least appreciated and grateful for all the love, support and care that’s been coming our way and on which we can rely on through the bonds we’ve nurtured and fostered in the past. As a result, reciprocity has brought us closer together. Chiron stationed retrograde at 13:50 degrees of Pisces at 5:17 am EDT. He will be tracing back his steps to 9:07 Pisces, where he will turn direct on November 19. This correspond to a period of reflecting on, reviewing and transcending the wounding and healing principle in our life, especially in the context of higher values and ideals and also of self-undoing and victimization. Therefore, awareness of the human condition as well as of our commonalities or ‘sameness’ will not only unite us, but also allow us to bridge issues and to ‘walk in another’s shoes’ or ‘be our brother’s keeper’. As the waxing Virgo Moon squares the Gemini Sun at 1:23 pm EDT, marking the First Quarter Phase of the Gemini lunation cycle, the accompanying crisis in action challenges us to overcome criticizing and fault-finding tendencies and to live with our imperfections and shortcomings instead, while working on improvement of our situation and relying on our common sense. Therefore, we need to find out and focus on that part of the story that is essential to us personally (the Sabian Symbol for the Gemini New Moon was “An archaic volume reveals a traditional wisdom”) and make decisions that help us to deal with our dual nature. Once we identify the real problem things can be resolved. After the Moon’s ingress to Libra at 9:18 pm EDT will we feel more balanced and at peace within ourselves.

Tarot card of the day is the “King of Swords”, symbolizing a decision-maker, who lives by clear logic and fact as well as justice and fairness, has a sharp mind and a high intellect and expands on inner wisdom. He is impartial, puts emotions aside, makes informed decisions and applies mind over matter. It’s a day when we can filter thoughts and imagination into cohesive ideas and projects.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
