Astro-Notes on August 23, 2013 – returns

Since the Moon’s ingress to Aries at 3:12 am EDT could we’ve been feeling more animated, determined and action-oriented. With Mars in Cancer (in mutual reception with the Moon) engaged in a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Chiron in Pisces and Pallas in Cancer (disposited by the Moon-Mars mutual reception) in another one to retrograde Neptune in Pisces, it is critical that we’re aware of our expectations and projections, especially in the subjective way we idealize the human condition, long for healing and for our hopes or dreams to be fulfilled. If we are not careful or are in the wrong place at the wrong time, we might end up victimized or worse – as we’ve witnessed in those cases of domestic or home-grown violence, which are making the news (per example, an 88-year old WWII veteran was brutally beaten to death in Spokane, Washington, a domestic terror plot to kill Vegas cops was thwarted, Israeli warplanes attacked Lebanon territory again and Australia’s exdeputy PM says that U.S. gun culture is corrupting the world after the random slaying of the young Australian player in Oklahoma). Therefore, the approach we cultivated and the politics we fostered will see certain returns for better or for worse. Mercury will make ingress to Virgo at 6:36 pm EDT, where he will be traversing until September 9, which corresponds to a period when we seek to communicate and connect more effectively, selectively and methodically, to train and practice techniques and skills and to improve our thinking and communication process.

Tarot card of the day is the “6 of Pentacles”, for the most part indicating a turn for the better and that we’re heading into a positive cycle. We can tap the flow of abundance into our lives by placing ourselves purposefully in positions that stimulate a response from our environment. However, the element of balance is emphasized, especially what equality and fairness concerns. As we give so shall we receive and dispense charity in our own lives. At worst, we’re dealing with a situation of dominance and submission. In any case, this card speaks of the cyclical nature of life, of rebalancing, time management and allocation of resources.
