Astro-Notes on January 18, 2014 – Full Moon aftermath

9 of Swords, 9 of Wands and 9 of Swords again were the Tarot cards I

drew for the last 3 days (including today) after the Full Moon that transpired late at night on the 15th. These cards tell the story represented in the opposition of the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Capricorn and their respective Sabian Symbols very well. For the most part, we didn’t feel supported or nourished – we felt frustrated, anxious, depressed and put down – very much left to our own devices (dependence and self-reliance is a major theme of this polarity). Whatever ‘rained on our parade’ did really get the best of us. With retrograde Venus in Capricorn square Mars in Libra in addition to the Sun in Capricorn’s square to Ceres in Libra (not to mention Juno in Pisces’s semi-square to Eris in Aries, who also receives a quincunx from Saturn in Scorpio, requiring from us to surrender to the inevitable and accept our defeat), we were not on the ‘same teams’, so to speak. Instead of coordinating tasks and efforts, cooperating and collaborating, the ‘class standards of information’ are at cross purpose (and are very much in need to be reviewed and rearranged – Venus Rx) and so were our actions. In fact, the situation is not ‘just’ disheartening and discouraging, but seems to be hopeless, in particular with Neptune in Pisces’s trine to the North Node in Scorpio, which brought some revelations about the system that might not make sense and leave us powerless under these circumstances (a good example of this ‘energy weather’ in the news is the experience the parents of a 15-year old girl made with the police in BC, Canada. The girl had joined a religious sect and run away, because she was disciplined by her parents and generally unhappy at home and the police wouldn’t return her, but let her stay with the person she’s living with now – http://news.ca.msn.com/canada/video/?videoid=cbcc2014-1701-2137-0030-243074707000). Therefore, it is and has been hard to keep our spirits up and persevere amidst ‘misfortune’ and other undesirable conditions (as implied by ‘the nature spirit dancing in the iridescent mist of a waterfall’ and the Tarot cards, especially the 9 of Wands). Today, the Capricorn Sun cast a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Pallas in Virgo and Mars in Libra another one to Neptune in Pisces, while Mercury in Aquarius formed semi-sextiles to Chiron in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. Consequently, it was critical to refocus and recommit by taking small steps toward ‘fixing’ and improving or appeal to others to pass the message on or at least do what we actually can do under these less than ideal circumstances.

“9 of Swords” – nightmares and other headaches – suggesting that is important to maintain trust and faith instead of letting negative thoughts, worries and concerns getting the best of us. We need to be patient as better things or opportunities might come along soon. There is no need to put ourselves down or get overwhelmed or anxious. Circumstances are just unfortunate momentarily and the overall situation is rather complex.

“9 of Wands”, suggesting that we’ll be seeing something through to the end and will persisting against the odds or despite of setbacks. There might be a last test or challenge before we can reach success, but as long as we don’t give up, we will achieve our goals. Therefore, it is important that we show stamina and keep our resolve. We will eventually prosper if we maintain our position with patience and vigilance.
