Astro-Notes on February 6, 2014 – the devil we know

The waxing Taurus Moon will square the Aquarian Sun at 2:22 pm EST, which marks the

First Quarter Moon of the Aquarius lunation cycle. This ‘crisis in action’ challenges us to feel content with the ‘inspiration we received’ (Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius New Moon) and thus to overcome those same issues we’ve dealing with time and again. We need to break out of this rut to be able to make progress on all fronts. Mercury will station retrograde at 3:20 degrees of Pisces at 4:43 pm EST, tracing back his steps to 18:09 Aquarius, where he will turn direct on February 28. During this phase will we ‘go down memory lane’ and review plans and ideas we’ve envisioned, remember ‘lost’ or forgotten connections and info we’ve put ‘in the back corner of our mind’ or communication we’ve been delaying.

Tarot card of the day is “The Devil”, a card that comes with the message “I can untie the binds and set myself free”. We may in some way feel controlled by our environment or by our attitude and may therefore have a fear of taking our power back or of having to succumb to unwanted circumstances. It’s a day when we’re overly concerned with material security and when therefore money and material wellbeing are very important to us. The material world is highlighted and with it our darker emotions. A tendency toward negativity and pessimism could keep us addicted and enslaved to whatever issue we give control over us. Therefore, temptations of all kinds will abound.

  1. I have read every post of yours without exception since I came across your blog. I always find insight from what you have typed and words that are both very helpful and informative (and more importantly: accurate (like, the nail gets hit right on the head every single time)).

I know it is often a struggle for you to be able to do a daily post (and sometimes just totally unrealistic and not happening), but I just wanted to take the time to voice thankfulness for your blogging and writing.

    hang in there Verena,

    spring and summer are inevitable,

  2. Thank you Ed. That’s very nice of you. Yes, it is quite a commitment to write a daily blog post when you have a fulltime job, but I’m glad that my writings are helpful and appreciated, even though I use too much astro jargon. LOL Yeah, spring will come eventually. 🙂
