Astro-Notes on May 19, 2014 – lesser struggles

Retrograde Pluto in Capricorn receives a sesqui-quadrate from the

Sun in Taurus and a trine from Juno in Taurus, whereas Venus in Aries opposes retrograde Ceres in Libra and quincunxes retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. This suggests that it is critical at this time to strengthen our influence within established relationship dynamics and routines now that we finally have regained some control over these affairs. However, we are facing a conflict of priorities in this regard, which requires from us to review the give-and-take principle, reassess our commitments and surrender our personal values and preferences to shared values and common goals instead of insisting on having things our way. As Mars, who has been in retrograde motion since March 1, stations direct at 9:01 degrees of Libra at 9:31 pm EDT, we have to be motivated accordingly and coordinate our activities and initiatives with important others. Mars will recover ‘old’ ground until July 21 when he will enter new territory and we can move on too. For now though, we have to reach agreements, collaborate and cooperate on those issues we couldn’t get ahead with. After the Moon’s ingress to Aquarius at 5:57 am EDT will we feel more inspired and future-oriented, while seeking to make progress quickly.

Tarot card of the day is the 6 of Swords”, which indicates a slight reduction in stress and strain. Things will be better than they were in the recent past, all of which is helpful to get our head above water. The bottom has been reached and the process of healing has begun. There is finality in this journey. The future is not yet visible, but the past is definitely over. We’re moving away from turbulence toward calmer times and will need to make a transition that is better for us in the long-term.
