Astro-Notes on February 2, 2015 – Groundhog Day

Daily aspects:
– Mercury Rx in Aquarius semi-sextile Venus and Neptune in Pisces
– Venus in Pisces semi-square Eris in Aries
– Sun in Aquarius sextile Uranus in Aries
– Pallas in Sagittarius semi-sextile Pluto in Capricorn
– Moon ingress to Leo at 12:40 pm EST

We’ve been awaiting the weather forecast on this Groundhog Day of course and it did disappoint as indicated by retrograde Mercury’s aspects to the separating Venus-Neptune conjunction. However, here in my location has it been snowing and blowing since the winter storm arrived yesterday, which means the groundhog couldn’t possibly see his shadow in this area. Not to mention that the weather forecast has been wrong for most of this winter and with Mercury still traveling backwards, this might be another matter coming up for review and reconsideration. Thus, instead of letting this news affect our mood and sensitivities, we should straighten out our priorities. We have a chance today to make progress with a personal cause or situation if we take advantage of new trends or unexpected openings offered to us and adjust our approach accordingly, which means we need to focus on getting on top of our affairs and our circumstances under control. Therefore, after the Moon’s ingress to Leo could we be ready and willing to take some risks, while seeking to be self-expressive and creative.

Tarot card of the day is the King of Cups”, suggesting that we feel emotionally balanced and in control, because we’re drawing on emotional maturity to navigate life’s challenges. We’re approachable and can be relied upon, while being responsive instead of reactive and thus capable of managing strong emotions that may surface. Moreover, there is a focus on business matters. Consequently, a wide range of artistic and cultural activities are emphasized.
