Not only returned I home late from work yesterday afternoon due to a snow and ice storm that saw many of

my co-workers leaving early, I also talked to my girlfriends for the rest of the evening – one of them was involved in a car accident and is fortunately not hurt, the other one got hired for the job she had applied for and another one’s baby is due to arrive. Unexpected, shocking news, all the while my own excitement is rising as I find myself in the midst of making plans for an Easter weekend getaway to Toronto with my daughter for which my time off request got approved today. It also warmed up here, which is nice for a change. However, it didn’t last long; the next extreme cold warning is already out for tonight and tomorrow morning. So, no relief in sight yet and the forecast for spring in this area is also very disappointing. It’s devastating to our wellbeing and sense of happiness to endure these arctic temperatures for such a long time. These conditions beyond our control keep us struggling and on the edge, itching for warmer climates. We’ve been having half a year of winter for the last 3 years in a row, which becomes unbearable after a while. The longing for a change or break from this pattern is strong. Most folks wish they could just move away from here, me included. In the meantime, tax returns have arrived in the mail and we also made progress in some relationship situations where proposals or requests have worked out. On the other hand, past fights and initiatives could have been reignited, especially when the line of least resistance was taken and we were not pleased with others’ actions or approved of their motives. There’s a lot more I could say, but it is too late for me already. With the approaching Full Moon, I seem to have no time for anything anymore.

Tarot card of the day is the 7 of Swords”, emphasizing a need to remain focused, keep distractions at a minimum, sustain an effort and pour energy into our projects. We could be working in an unstable way, using evasive tactics or escaping from the situation somehow. Awareness of an irritated, distracted, restless or bored mentality is imperative. In order to succeed we must accept that we might require regular stimulus and change or our efforts might be futile. If something doesn’t work out as planned or expected, we need to stretch our mind and look for an alternative. In addition, we could be facing serious relationship issues, where it is best to avoid any confrontation, but to employ tact and diplomacy instead. Moreover, we need to be honest and upfront in all our dealings and at the same time be cautious and wary as to who we trust.
