Reaching out helps us to recreate opportunities for our personal entertainment or enjoyment in the

future and thus to invest in our cause. Therefore, if we take advantage of the openings and space we have to our disposal today, we can lay back later and tend to our wellbeing, while satisfying our senses or cravings.

Tarot card of the day is the 4 of Swords”, signifying a break from normal life and a time when we avoid overexertion. We seek to relax body and soul, because we want to gain a better perspective by standing back from the situation and coming to terms with what is. For the moment, there is a truce, which gives us a chance to stabilize ourselves, recover, center our thoughts, stop worrying, put down our defenses and take a breather from the chaos and stress around us. In a practical sense, this card is an indicator that we need to have some time out from our current circumstances, to reflect and review your progress so far to be able to re-evaluate and re-assess our priorities.

Astro-Notes on March 22, 2015

Daily astrology:
– Moon ingress to Taurus at 6:40 am EDT
– Mars in Aries semi-square Neptune in Pisces
– Mercury in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn and semi-sextile Uranus in Aries
– Pallas in Sagittarius sesqui Jupiter Rx in Leo and sextile Vesta in Aquarius
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

We are having a slow start in the day and we’re also a bit laid back and spaced out, because we need the rest and some pampering. However, once we feel better, we have to snap out of it and move out of our comfort zone or get ready and going in order to be able to make our dreams come true. In fact, we can gain some influence or control over our affairs if we choose so, bring forth the necessary initiative and motivation and work on our progress. Therefore, it is important that we review our personal options in order to come up with the right approach and then dedicate us to our causes or projects convinced that we can make big strides if we only apply our mind to them.

Tarot card of the day is the 2 of Wands”, representing the urge to move on, be bold and daring as well as original and proactive. This card indicates that we have come to a time of decision, where we must decide whether we want to build on what we have or perhaps expand in a new direction. Therefore, it is imperative that we bring forward the patience and focus of our intent and maximize on these opportunities, which are coming our way now. We need to confront the situation head-on, leave familiar grounds behind, step out into a new world and explore our options. Moreover, this card can also refer to the productive meeting of minds, from which partnerships can prosper and be successful.

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Taurus quincunx Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
– Mercury in Pisces quincunx Jupiter Rx in Leo
– Mars conjunct Eris in Aries
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

After we reviewed the situation and our options under these circumstances, we adjusted our plans and

preferences accordingly and acted in our self-interests. We want to see some results and get things done. Our competitive edge will show today and our self-determination will shoot up in response to a rising adrenalin level that is pushing us to assert ourselves more fiercely or boldly, while daring us to pack a punch and come out a winner.

Tarot card of the day is the Page of Cups”, representing some sort of beginning or renewal, which could herald a positive message we respond to in an emotional manner. Our intuition is sharp today and creative energy is trying to burst forth into our consciousness. Therefore, we need to be open to receive, express our emotions and let our heart lead the way. This card encourages us to take a fresh perspective on a difficult issue and to allow our creative Self to come to the fore so that a sense of freedom may reappear in our life.

Astro-Notes on March 20, 2015 – Total Solar Eclipse/Pisces New Moon

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Taurus square Juno in Leo and quincunx Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
– Vesta in Aquarius semi-sextile Ceres in Capricorn
– Total Solar Eclipse/New Moon at 29:27 Pisces at 5:36 am EDT
– Moon ingress to Aries at 6:27 am EDT
– Sun ingress to Aries/SPRING EQUINOX at 6:45 pm EDT
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

We have to turn a corner in our interactions with others in order to be able to build up the emotional and material security we need and can make progress with our projects and causes, especially in those cases where we have been feeling unsupported and unaccomplished. In the same sense as the winter cannot last much longer, even though it seems to be holding on with a firm grip, shall we see change and progress soon. Current struggles are part of the transitional process we’re undergoing. They are only temporary and will lead to more appreciation of the simple pleasures life has to offer.
The Sun’s ingress to Aries later tonight at 6:45 pm EDT marks the Vernal Equinox and the beginning of spring here in the Northern Hemisphere. Day and night are of equal length today, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of the light. This is reversed in the Southern Hemisphere, where now autumn begins. All solar festivals are quarter days in the wheel of the year that start a new season and are therefore relevant for the duration of it. However, the spring equinox can have influence over the entire year by revealing the trends that will ‘shoot up’ like the germs that pierce the harsh crust of the soil at this time of the year. The festival itself is sacred to dawn, the east, the morning star and to youth. Eostre (from whose name the direction East and the holiday Easter is derived) is a dawn goddess of the Saxons, like Aurora and Eos. Just as the dawn is the time of new light, so is the Vernal Equinox the time of new life. Holidays in March are dedicated to all the great fertility goddesses, who show themselves in the blossoms, the leaves on the trees, the sprouting of the crops, the mating of birds and the birth of young animals. In the agricultural cycle, it is time for planting. We are assured that life will continue. Consequently, the Sun’s transit through Aries corresponds to a time of emergence, “birth”, new beginnings and strong self-expression, when we feel the urge to initiate action on our behalf, to pioneer things and to conquer unchartered territories; when self-determination, impatience and willfulness are on the rise and when we are courageous, fierce and impulsive, even daring, as we’re pushing forward. Moreover, during this period will we be strongly inclined to assert our animus or the yang principle and thus show a tendency to act from an instinctual and primal level.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 29:27 Pisces states:
“A majestic rock formation resembling a face is idealized by a boy who takes it as his ideal of greatness and as he grows up begins to look like it. Keynote: The power of clearly visualized ideals to mold the life of the visualizer – ARCHETYPALIZATION.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Page 288)

TSE-Pisces NM 2015

The Pisces New Moon, which is a Total Solar Eclipse, transpires at 5:36 am EDT this morning, setting the ‘tone’ for the next half year and, in some cases, even years to come. A total eclipse of the Sun occurs when the Sun, Moon and Earth line up exactly as the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun.

However, the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. Hence the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon. Thus, we don’t see a total occultation, instead our attention is captured by this ‘fiery’ circle of light that dominates the sky with its allure and is an ‘omen’, not only for things to come, but also in the sense of a ‘portal’, leading right into the ‘heart of darkness’. Things that have been eclipsed in the area of our life, represented by the house in our natal chart, where the Eclipse has an impact, have now a chance to be brought into the light of day/conscious awareness, triggering individual and collective transitions, marked by endings and new beginnings. Eclipses belong to a larger pattern or series; each Eclipse is a member of a family and each family has specific characteristics. The current Solar Eclipse is a member of the Saros Series 17 South, which means the Pisces New Moon/Solar Eclipse is conjunct the South Node of the Moon, a point of extraction that is triggering the release and filtering of accumulated energies. This Saros Series was the last time around in March 1997 (look for the common theme). It has Jupiter on the New Moon/Uranus midpoint and Venus/Pluto midpoint and the Node on the midpoint of Mercury and Venus, for which Bernadette Brady gives the following interpretation:

“The issues with this family of eclipses are of sudden success in group projects or personal relationship matters. Happiness in love, thinking of love matters, good news concerning relationships or creative expression with a group.”

(Bernadette Brady, “Predictive Astrology: The Eagle and the Lark”, Appendices, Page 333)

A vision that has been formed over a long period of time or something we’ve been yearning and waiting for rather desperately is finally materializing and it’s affecting us in such a profound way that a ‘whole new life’ will be born from it out of which new possibilities arise and these in turn will shape our development and future.

Tarot card of the day is the Queen of Wands”, suggesting that we’re renewing ourselves as we’re summoning our creative energy and approach our life’s situations energetically and confident. We are not afraid of challenges and use our tremendous energy constructively as well as within the scope of our capabilities, which means we’re equipped to be successful and to effectively multi-task.

Daily aspects:
– Sun in Pisces sesqui Jupiter Rx in Leo
– Mercury in Pisces quincunx NN in Libra/semi-sextile SN in Aries and semi-square Ceres in Capricorn
– Venus in Taurus semi-square Chiron in Pisces
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

It is important today and also in regard to our future prospects that we don’t forget our personal principles and mission or we might end up shooting ourselves in the foot. Only we know what’s good for us and what we need to feel happy, safe and nurtured. Therefore, we have to evaluate the situation accordingly, work on the achievement of our goals and do what is necessary and required in this regard. Although we might still be struggling to get back into our routines, this shall pass too. We will get there eventually. Things don’t need to be perfect. As long as we keep our focus on the bottom line and tackle one step or project at a time, we’ll be getting somewhere. Our outlook will be brighter soon.
Yep, one day until spring, but winter is hanging on here. We’re experiencing another cold spill and will most likely see some snow on the weekend.

Tarot card of the day is the 8 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we’re building on our previous successes, especially in regard to the work we’ve done in the past or the visions and dreams we’ve had. We need to be diligent, make an effort and plug away. Important is also in this regard to find out the facts, to increase our expertise, to check and recheck what we’re doing.

Daily aspects:
– Mars in Aries sesqui Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
– Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces
– Moon ingress to Pisces at 6:57 am EDT
– Vesta in Aquarius sesqui NN in Libra/semi-square SN in Aries
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

So, after yesterday’s major effort and success is it now critical to dedicate us to our cause and invest in our future prospects so that we can make the things we hold sacred happen. Therefore, we start a new sub-cycle during which we can focus on our hopes, ideals and dreams and conceive of ideas and plans how to meet them. We are highly imaginative and projective today. Our mind is attuned to subtler vibes and filled with expectations. Thus, our perception of things will either inspire and enlighten or deceive and disillusion us, whereas connections could be helpful and we could feel that we are all in this together.

Astro-Notes on March 17, 2015

Daily aspects:
– Venus ingress to Taurus at 6:14 am EDT (until April 11)
– Sun in Pisces square Pallas in Sagittarius
– Mercury in Pisces semi-square Eris in Aries
– Mars in Aries sesqui Saturn Rx in Sagittarius

This morning began a period during which we can build up worth and value, accumulate possessions and are

attracted to material things, seek to ensure that our emotional security needs are met, tend to our self-esteem and well-being, pursue sense gratification and cultivate our talents. Moreover, personal comfort, relationships and contentment take up priority. The more important is it to be aware of our attitude, whereby it would be advisable to review our position and do some damage control before it is too late and our self-image takes a hit. Rather, we want to be smart and focus on winning scenarios, while keeping our self-interests on the forefront of our mind in order to succeed and to prove that we can ‘rock it’.

Tarot card of the day is the King of Pentacles”, suggesting that we put quality over quantity and are good stewards of our life and energy. We pursue self-sufficiency and self-reliance, gain progress one step at a time and work toward a goal with firm resolve. Moreover, we handle any situation competently, meet commitment and promises and can be counted on. Our enterprising spirit comes forward as we turn this day into a successful day. This is a card of worldly success, ultimate fulfillment and material satisfaction that comes with the promise of financial stability and continuing prosperity.
