Astro-Notes on July 31, 2015 – Aquarius Full Moon

Daily aspects:
– Full Moon at 7:55 Aquarius/Leo at 6:42 am EDT
– Venus egress to Leo at 11:27 am EDT (until October 8)
– Mercury in Leo semi-square NN in Libra/sesqui SN in Aries
– Pallas Rx in Sagittarius square Juno in Virgo

The last couple of days have been crazy busy at work. I could really feel the built-up to the Aquarius Full Moon. Things have been chaotic and routines got interrupted constantly, leaving everybody exhausted and on edge. At the peak of the heatwave I had to set up my airconditioner, realizing that they didn’t cool the building this summer. And then I came home yesterday afternoon to a broken fridge. The maintenance guy provided me with a new one. However, it doesn’t’ fit in the corner. So, this story isn’t over yet and the same is true for the situation at work. With Juno in Virgo holding a square to retrograde Pallas in Sagittarius we are strategically challenged, having to review our approach until we can work things out in our dealings with others. This means we’ll have to keep trying in spite of the problems and setbacks and we have to figure out how to best handle everything and be efficient so that we can get the job done. Therefore, it is necessary that we focus on cooperation and are fair during this time of crisis, even if we have to compromise our own agenda. The needs of the many outweigh our personal dramas; the greater good takes priority. Consequently, once Venus will be moving back into Leo, where she will be traversing until October 8, we have a chance to review our personal values, finances and relationships and also the way we validate and love ourselves, in particular in the manner we express our personal needs, wants and desires. As the Cancer New Moon culminates, the impulses that sounded forth with the Aquarian New Moons on January 20 and February 18 have also reached their full potential. Thus, ‘the woman and the two men cast away on a small island of the South Sea’ (Sabian Symbol for the Cancer New Moon) have become ‘beautifully gowned wax figures on display’ (Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius Full Moon) – ‘interdependence as the focalization of complex inner potentialities in harmonic and concrete relationships’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Cancer New Moon) finds expression in people or personages who are the ‘exemplars of a new culture’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius Full Moon), ‘concretizing an ideal’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Aqua NM from Jan. 20) that is ‘revolutionary’ as well as ‘community-oriented’ (Sabian Symbol and keynote for the Leo Sun). ‘Totality of Being’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Aqua NM from Feb. 18) is achieved through ‘catabolic action as a prelude to a new type of order’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Leo Sun).

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon at 7:55 Aqua states:
“Beautifully gowned wax figures on display. Keynote: The inspiration one may derive from the appearance of exemplars who represent to us the archetypes of a new culture – PREFORMATION.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 7:55 Leo states:
“A communist activist spreading his revolutionary ideals. Keynote: The emotional and ideological attempt to return to a state of non-differentiation and chaos as a prelude to a new type of order – CATABOLIC ACTION.”

Aquarius FM 2015

Tarot card of the day is the 8 of Wands”, representing a very focused kind of motion and activity, a time when we need to strike while the iron is hot. It encourages us to move quickly to pursue the best opportunities available right now. The notion is to MOVE ON as things are proceeding quickly.

Astro-Notes on July 24, 2015 – First Quarter Moon

Daily aspects:
– First Quarter Moon at 0:58 Scorpio/Leo at 0:03 am EDT
– Mercury in Leo opposite Ceres Rx in Aquarius and sextile NN in Libra/trine SN in Aries

Since I returned from my vacation I’ve been trying to get back into my routine, but it is more

challenging this time around, because there are a few things I have to take care of before I can continue with business as usual. One of these is the to me difficult task of setting up my new computer, which will require some time and fumbling around. However, with both, the Sun and Mercury now in Leo, playfulness, creativity and self-confidence are highlighted and especially after their superior conjunction yesterday, which was in semi-sextile aspect to a stationary Venus in Virgo, the mental impulse seeded back on May 30 at the time of their inferior conjunction in Gemini has come to fruition. Thus, things have come to a head and require from us to show and utilize our skill set more efficiently by prioritizing and doing what is necessary, thereby ranking tasks according to their importance or due date. For me that meant I had to get my groceries first and then set up meetings and go from there. At work I encountered a disaster zone, which was to be expected and which will take me some time to clean up and fix. Meanwhile though, 18 new modulars have dropped for my departments. So, I’m really struggling, but with Mercury’s opposition to Ceres and trine to the South Node today, it looks as though I can move past the worst and count on some cooperation or assistance. This latest ‘crisis in action’ was really testing our resolve under complicated circumstances that pushed us in a corner. Yet, by accepting what we have been dealt and tackling our tasks or problems systematically, we can make progress one step at a time and are ‘controlled’ or disciplined and organized enough to not let us be taken over by negativity or let frustration or defeat get into our way. Instead, we focus on the end goal, knowing we will get there eventually.

Tarot card of the day is the 4 of Wands”, a card that deals with openings and gateways we can step through, giving us a chance to get out of an oppressive situation or escape from unhappy circumstances. This card has an uplifting, celebratory quality about it and brings people together. We’re moving from one stage to another.

Astro-Notes on July 8, 2015 – Third Quarter Moon

Daily aspects:
– Mars in Cancer square Vesta in Aries and trine Neptune Rx in Pisces
– Mercury ingress to Cancer at 2:51 pm EDT (until July 23)
– Third Quarter Moon at 16:21 Aries/Cancer at 4:23 pm EDT

True to the current energy weather did I meet my challenges when I started packing my stuff for my vacation yesterday evening. Although much appreciated the incoming messages kept me from doing what I had set out to do. Today at work it was the same scenario. Got side-tracked every once in a while, walked back and forth a few times and had to wait around. Needless to say that not much got accomplished as a result of these developments. Even this blog post couldn’t be written in time to be posted in the morning. Oh well. The more I will have to do tomorrow. Hopefully, I won’t be running around like a chicken without a head as I did today when Mercury was in the last degree of Gemini and I could feel the urgency behind it all with the focus on last-minute projects, which cannot be delayed any longer. On the other hand, my excitement is rising with every day I get closer to my departure and I’m ‘fired up’ accordingly and also a bit on edge. I’m aware that this is based on my primal instincts or conditioned patterns and can only hope I won’t get in panic mode – the Third Quarter Moon symbolizes a ‘crisis in consciousness’ when we need to put things into perspective and with the square from Aries (Moon) to Cancer (Sun) this involves activities or initiatives we support or care for personally. Meanwhile, Mercury made ingress to Cancer, where he will be traversing until July 23 and this corresponds to a period during which we seek support through communication and connections, to care for our plans, ideas and projects and to protect our interests as well as nurture and foster our associations, exchanges and friendships together with issues of mobility. We could also derive nurturing from our surroundings and travel to familiar places that feel like home.

Tarot card of the day is the The High Priestess”, suggesting that we’re aware of a larger reality and see the potential or understand the possibilities as we open us to what could be. We’re looking beyond the obvious and being receptive to all kinds of subtle and hidden influences, which include our inner voice we need to listen to and trust. Also, we need to look for areas of our life, which are out of balance and therefore require greater foresight and wisdom. Our life is changing. Things that once seemed certain can no longer be taken for granted.

Astro-Notes on July 1, 2015 – Capricorn Full Moon

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Leo quincunx Chiron Rx in Pisces and conjunct Jupiter
– Sun in Cancer trine Neptune Rx in Pisces
– Moon ingress to Capricorn at 5:10 am EDT
– Mars in Cancer square nodal axis
– Full Moon at 9:55 Capricorn/Cancer at 10:19 pm EDT

Yesterday, Juno made ingress to Virgo, where she will be traversing until September 17. This corresponds to a period when we seek to be of service, scrutinize our relationships and the role we are playing within these dynamics, work out problems with others and strive to improve our relationship principle. In sync with this ingress and Venus’ quincunx to retrograde Chiron did I walk to the hospital yesterday evening to see a doctor. It is rather a minor issue, yet enough of an annoyance to bug me and needed to be taken care of, especially since I plan to go on a trip south next weekend. Of course, with Venus, Jupiter and Juno all in my 12 house and transiting Saturn closing in on his second square with my natal Saturn in house 6 of health, the implicated adjustment at the start of the new sub-cycle (Venus-Jupiter conjunction), had to be a health-related issue for me. Besides, I wanted to make sure that my self-diagnosis was correct. It was quite a ‘trial’ though, because I had to wait for hours (the emergency department in the hospital is always busy around the Full Moon) and when I finally held my prescription in my hand and was ready to leave it was very late indeed. I don’t like hospitals or ‘modern medicine’ and try to avoid them together with all the screening and whatever ‘preventive measures’ they come up with, but sometimes I just need a ‘band-aid’ or prescription like everybody else. Anyway, July is here and today we celebrate Canada Day, which means I’m at home and could sleep in after that late night, licking my wounds, so to speak. Hopefully, it’ll warm up a bit over the course of the day. It’s still pretty cold here for summer.
So, now that we put an end to uncertainty or hope (as per example for a reunion in the case of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner), however the case might be, we enter this new sub-cycle at a moment of culmination, when things reached a peak or climax. Therefore, for the duration of this sub-period will we concentrate on our personal happiness and fulfillment. We will be more self-expressive about our values and mission in life and seek to create opportunities for self-validation, sense indulgence and personal entertainment. Thus, we truly stand at a turning point in regard to our past and future prospects, where we are challenged to support and nourish or grow our masculine side, drive, initiative and motivation. As the Gemini lunation cycle culminates in the Capricorn Full Moon, the impulse that sounded forth at the time of the Capricorn New Moon on December 21 of last year also peaks. Accordingly, the scene changes from ‘frost-covered trees against winter skies’ (Sabian Symbol for the Gemini New Moon) to ‘an albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor’ (Sabian Symbol for the Capricorn Full Moon) – by overcoming the cold (winter) and crystallization (isolation/withdrawal), we also overcome the fear that keeps us in patterns of defeat, fatigue and anguish. The ‘Indian Chief that claims power from the assembled tribe’ (Sabian Symbol for the Capricorn New Moon from December 21) can be correlated with ‘a large diamond in the first stage of the cutting process’ (Sabian Symbol for the Sun in Cancer).

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon at 9:55 Cap states:
“An albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor. Keynote: The overcoming of fear and its rewards – TRUST.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 9:55 Cancer states:
“A large diamond in the first stages of the cutting process. Keynote: The arduous training for perfection in order to fully manifest an ideal – CRAFTSMANSHIP.”

Capricorn Full Moon 2015

We have to summon our courage, trust our instincts and follow our heart in order to be able to achieve emotional stability together with the status, structure and results we’re seeking. This gradual process of coming out of our protective shell will help us to arrange for our future prospects and move on from the past.

Tarot card of the day is the 5 of Wands”, depicting a day of struggles, restlessness and also playfulness when a lot of ideas are floating around and we could encounter conflicts or quarrels – inside and outside. We might be bothered by trivialities as well as overwhelmed by the pressure and demands on us. It is important to not lose sight of the bigger picture and let these minor vexations deplete our energies. Therefore, we need to get a grasp on these fluctuating energies and whims and carefully assess our attitude, while opening us to the changes they bring into our life.
