Astro-Notes on October 27, 2015 – Taurus Full Moon

Daily aspects:
– Moon ingress to Taurus at 2:07 am EDT
– Sun in Scorpio semi-sextile Saturn in Sagittarius
– Full Moon at 3:44 Taurus/Scorpio at 8:05 am EDT
– Venus in Virgo opposite Chiron Rx in Pisces and quincunx Uranus Rx in Aries
– Ceres ingress to Aquarius at 11:52 am EDT (until Jan. 28)

A last degree sextile was formed by Ceres in Capricorn and retro Vesta in Pisces that could be taken as an urgent appeal for sympathy based on the latest revelations we received. Thus, we might have heard distressing or shocking news of unnecessary or unavoidable suffering and sacrifices that touched us deeply, asking for our compassion and commitment. Consequently, the confrontation with these tragedies required an adjustment of our priorities. Moreover, we had to show some empathy or solidarity and work out resolutions. As the Libra lunation cycle culminated in the Taurus Full Moon this morning, the impulse that sounded forth at the time of the Taurus New Moon back in May of this year comes to a head too. Therefore, ‘the rabbi is performing his duties’ (Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon) in form of ‘communion’ (keyword of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus Full Moon), and ‘the old Indian woman who is selling her artifacts to passers-by’ (Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon) has been succeeded by ‘a youth carrying a lighted candle in a devotional ritual, who is impressing the great images of his culture upon the gathered participants’ (Sabian Symbol and keynote for the Scorpio Sun). So, it’s not only about what we can sell, but also what we can offer or even owe others that brings them comfort, a sense of validation, appreciation and closeness or inclusiveness.

Taurus FM 2015

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon at 3:44 Taurus states:
“The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Keynote: Riches that come from linking the celestial and the earthly nature – COMMUNION.”
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 3:44 Scorpio states:
“A youth carries a lighted candle in a devotional ritual. Keynote: The educative power of ceremonies, which impress the great images of a culture upon its gathered participants – THE POWER OF SYMBOLS.”
(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 73 and 193-194)

Life is happening to us in all its complexity, inevitability and mystery. Some aspects of it we can influence, others not. It’s a matter of acceptance and adaptation. In order to find emotional security, we need to be able to share our feelings and emotions and to develop trust and intimacy in communion with others. Meanwhile, Ceres re-entered Aquarius, where she first made ingress on April 3 of this year and will continue to travel through until January 28. This corresponds to a period during which we seek to reform or upgrade our nurturing principle by changing our commitments or the way we tend to take care of things or show support. We might even alter our diet or try different ingredients.
One of my mother’s brothers has passed away on the 25th. So, I have been in contact with her, comforting her and also a friend of mine to whom I used to be very close after learning of her incurable illness. I also talked to my best friend and later that day to my daughter. These were important conversations I had over my weekend and that’s why this post is coming out so late. On another note, I left the Health and Safety Committee today after 2 years of volunteering my time. With the amount of work I have on my ‘plate’, it’s impossible for me to find the time for inspections.

Tarot card of the day is the Page of Swords”, a card that is also called “The Renewer” and is all about communication, information and ideas and indicates the ability to rise above emotional confusion. The Page or Princess of Swords represents commitment to a new way of life, because of the settling and cutting away of past inner conflicts, the regaining of mental clarity and a victory over emotional moods. Manifestation of our dreams can actually happen in the not so distant future as she delivers messages of change and news of official matters.

Astro-Notes on October 20, 2015 – First Quarter Moon

Daily aspects:
– First Quarter Moon at 27:07 Capricorn/Libra at 4:31 pm EDT
– Vesta Rx conjunct SN in Aries/opposite NN in Libra
– Moon ingress to Aquarius at 9:37 pm EDT

The Libra Sun left a sextile to Pallas in Sagittarius prior to his waxing square with the Capricorn Moon. Therefore, fall1if we took advantage of the chance to expand our strategies in the ‘right’ direction, this ‘crisis in action’ could help us to turn a corner in regard to frustrating conditions we need to regulate better in order to be able to preserve the balance. Consequently, ‘the rabbi performing his duties’ (Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon) has to use ‘inherited wisdom’ (keyword of the Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon) to overcome the challenges he’s presented with and this means among other things that we can’t go it alone anymore, but have to work together. Per example, here in Canada, the Federal Elections were held yesterday, and folks took the opportunity to vote the old prime minister Harper out in the highest voter turnout in over 2 decades. Justin Trudeau, for whom the Knight of Cups is a befitting image, won the majority. With the NN in Libra, opposite Vesta and the Aries Point, likeability and relatability were major factors in this election as was a ‘familiar name’ (Trudeau – his father was also prime minister of Canada) or ‘inherited destiny’.

Tarot card of the day is the Knight of Cups”, symbolizing that we’re full of zeal as we serve our desires. We’re on a journey of imagination and creativity, where our idealism and love principle will be put to a test. Therefore, we’ll have to follow our heart in order to find our path.

Astro-Notes on October 12, 2015 – Libra New Moon

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Virgo sesqui Uranus Rx in Aries
– Vesta Rx in Aries trine Saturn in Sagittarius
– Jupiter in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn
– New Moon at 19:20 Libra at 8:05 pm EDT

Jupiter in Virgo’s trine to Pluto in Capricorn indicates that control over our circumstances has been achieved after we carried out options aimed at down-sizing, minimizing or other measures of better efficiency to manage our resources. With Jupiter’s dispositor Mercury passing over the North Node once again this is the result of a new lease, agreement or contract we entered that has the potential to turn things around, courtesy of retro Uranus in Aries to which the Libra Sun formed an opposition prior to the New Moon and Venus in Virgo a sesqui-quadrate, forcing us to make up our mind as time is running out and we have no choice but to instigate progress. Because the Sun also engaged in a quincunx to retro Chiron in Pisces and Venus in another one to retro Vesta in Aries, we experience doubts and even setbacks now after having found out a few disconcerting truths or details we missed in our evaluation of the conditions that were presented to us and this could have led to inner conflicts and struggles, which are clouding our judgment of the situation and also affecting our capability to properly handle this matter. Thus, our initial enthusiasm, excitement or joy received a damper, causing us to reassess the situation or contacting other sources for their input and change arrangements if we have to. This is the leadup to the Libra New Moon that will transpire tonight at 8:05 pm EDT and is in semi-sextile aspect to the preceding Solar Eclipse, for which the keyword was “group integration”. Therefore, the Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 19:20 Libra states:

“A rabbi performing his duties. Keynote: The ability to draw on the power of an ancestral tradition in order to serve and inspire one’s fellow men – INHERITED WISDOM.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Page 185)

Libra NM 2015

We do what is necessary and expected from us in our role and function as a member of our community, group or team in a final push or effort. In my case this means that although today is Thanksgiving here in Canada, I signed up for working a shift today so that we can get caught up with all the freight and inventory preparations, getting the store set up for business and inventory. Once this ordeal is behind us, we can turn things around and start anew, knowing where we are standing. As Mercury in Libra is approaching a sextile to Saturn and an opposition to Vesta, we have a chance to succeed with our plans if we remain dedicated to our cause. Moreover, we could receive the advice or reassurance we need to regain our inner peace.

Tarot card of the day is the Page of Cups”, representing some sort of beginning or renewal, which could herald a positive message we respond to in an emotional manner. Our intuition is sharp today and creative energy is trying to burst forth into our consciousness. Therefore, we need to be open to receive, express our emotions and let our heart lead the way. This card encourages us to take a fresh perspective on a difficult issue and to allow our creative Self to come to the fore so that a sense of freedom may reappear in our life.

Astro-Notes on October 4, 2015 – Third Quarter Moon

Daily aspects:
– Sun in Libra semi-sextile Jupiter in Virgo
– Third Quarter Moon at 11:19 Cancer/Libra at 5:06 pm EDT

So, we reached the Third Quarter Moon phase of this particular lunation cycle that started out with a Solar Eclipse and culminated in a Lunar one. The ‘crisis in consciousness’ that accompanies this event challenges us to put the things that have transpired during this cycle into perspective and in this case this concerns the evaluation of relationships and to which extend we can rely on them or on fairness, balance and justice for that matter. At this point we should know which of our relationships are nurturing and supportive and whether the person or team we’re involved with is caring for us or not. “Group integration” was the keyword for this cycle and needs to be assessed based on the principle of giving and receiving. ‘Coincidentally’, I chatted with my best friend this morning on Skype exactly about this.

Tarot card of the day is the6 of Pentacles”, for the most part indicating a turn for the better and that we’re heading into a positive cycle. We can tap the flow of abundance into our lives by placing ourselves purposefully in positions that stimulate a response from our environment. However, the element of balance is emphasized, especially what equality and fairness concerns. As we give so shall we receive and dispense charity in our own lives. This card speaks of the cyclical nature of life.
