Astro-Notes on March 31, 2016 – Third Quarter Moon

Daily Aspects:
– Third Quarter Moon at 11:20 Capricorn/Aries at 11:16 am EDT
– Mercury conjunct Uranus in Aries

The eclipses have passed and we’re trying to survive or continue living a ‘normal’ life in the aftermath of these events to be able to let our wounds heal or to let go off our hurt and other sensitivities, which are a source of negative and sad feelings. Thus, if we’re currently experiencing some rather disillusioning situations, especially what relationship or financial matters concerns, we have to remember that having expectations can lead to disappointment. We’re dealing with complex life processes here over which we have not much control and therefore, it’s pointless to struggle or fight this if we can’t win. Instead, the ‘crisis in consciousness’ that accompanies the Third Quarter Moon, tests our resilience under circumstances we consider a personal setback or even a defeat. However, not everything is lost. At the start of this new sub-cycle ushered in by the meeting of Mercury and Uranus in Aries we are encouraged to focus on the future, to make pro-active choices and to enact an agenda that will lead to progress and initiation of the changes we have on our mind.

early spring

Tarot card of the day is the “Page of Wands”, suggesting news related to business or otherwise and a positive awareness of the future or ‘to expect the unexpected’. There are new possibilities, which demand from us to be courageous and daring as we rediscover purpose. This card represents ‘a new dawn’ that is a new beginning of a phase in which the creative spark must be developed and given a new lease on life, calling upon us to express ourselves from our heart. It’s a day to be positive and spontaneous as well as lively and energetic, when we should pursue our creative vision with enthusiasm.

  1. Its very interesting merc conjunct sun occurs on may 9 also as jupiter goes direct then…(merc and jupiter went into retrograde at same time on the very plutonic lunation of jan 9 very powerful for me, a virgo rising) and merc conjunct sun on eclipse of 3/23 too. Its almost like your looking at a map this year or something…amazing.

  2. Yes, William, it’s interesting to observe these cycles and how they play out in the backdrop of larger cycles.
