With the event of the second trine between Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries (with Saturn in retrograde motion) we know that a period of increased responsibilities, limitations or restrictions has come to an end and that we have to proceed differently from here on by initiating the changes that will liberate us and move us forward.
Accordingly, Chiron, the wounded healer, has been in adjusting aspects to the nodal axis (life direction), inspiring us to leave our ‘cave’ and change course so that we can heal ourselves by joining and contributing to our tribe. Moreover, the Gemini Sun and Venus in Aries have been holding a semi-square for a few days now, while activating other planetary bodies and drawing them into a complex and tense web of connections with the purpose to create enough inner pressure so that we express ourselves vocally and address our needs and priorities.
At the start of this new lunation cycle in Gemini, these two are engaging the Pallas-Pluto square, an aspect that is challenging us strategy-wise, pushing our buttons and forcing us to act, while we’re fighting our inner demons – the intricate, deeply ingrained psychic complexes formed over many years, which have manifested as challenging outer circumstances over which we need to gain influence.
Therefore, it is essential for us to be flexible, objective and adaptable as we seek to enact our agenda (switch schedules, make that phone call, inquire about a situation, send out applications, proposals, offers etc., make connections) and also to keep ourselves informed. The Gemini New Moon’s ruler Mercury is in Venus’ sign Taurus, casting a semi-sextile to Ceres in Gemini and a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Saturn in Sagittarius. Although it wouldn’t be advisable to be stubborn or insist on having things our way or focus on instant gratification or results in this matter, it is equally important to not get stuck in our mental constructs or repetitive and used routines and neither in our comfort zone.
Instead, we have to reach out and get around, while developing and expanding our sense of structure, authority and competence. A sextile between Mars in Gemini and Eris in Aries offers us opportunities to beat our own drum and promote our self-interests.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 4:46 Gemini states:
“A revolutionary magazine asking for action. Keynote: The explosive tendency of repressed feelings and root emotions – TO REACH BEYOND ESTABLISHED FORMS.”
(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Page 92)
We’re ready and motivated to get our message out. In fact, matters we communicate and information we exchange have the potential to bring about change – even to reform our life.
Tarot card of the day is the “The Tower”, signifying inevitable change or at least different conditions as our routines are getting shaken up. If handled well it can bring liberation and freedom. There might be shock due to the suddenness of the event as well as upheaval, but if we’ve been stuck in a rut this will help us to climb out of it. Things are transforming and evolving beyond our control. An era might end – one way or another.
