Astro-Notes on May 18, 2017 – Third Quarter Moon in Aquarius

Daily Aspects:
– Sun in Taurus sextile Chiron in Pisces
– Third Quarter Moon at 28:14 Aquarius/Taurus at 5:32 pm PDT
– Venus in Aries sesqui-quadrate NN in Leo/semi-square SN in Aquarius
– Moon ingress to Pisces at 8:51 pm PDT
– Saturn Rx in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries

Retrograde Saturn in Sagittarius’ trine to Uranus in Aries is perfecting today, suggesting that we made progress in a long-standing situation, where we had to deal with increased responsibilities, obstructions or hurdles, because these conditions have been reviewed, which led to a better understanding of the issue as well as a sense of being liberated or unburdened that allows us to proceed differently from now on.

As the Sun in Taurus casts a sextile to Chiron in Pisces before he heads into the Last Quarter Moon Phase and a t-square with the nodal axis, we’re provided with an opportunity for healing or at least for soothing a wound by pursuing a solution to a problem, but this results in the ‘crisis in consciousness’, because we’ve reached a turning point destiny-wise, where we’re challenged to break out of a rut and get out of our comfort zone. This requires that we evaluate the pros and cons of a matter about which we feel divided or torn.

With Venus in Aries also activating the nodal axis with tense octile aspects, it is critical that we conquer our insecurities and prioritize our personal wants and desires to be able to change this pattern, instead of fighting that what could set us free or struggling with preconceived notions, which are unsubstantiated.

Tarot card of the day is the “7 of Swords”, emphasizing a need to remain focused, keep distractions at a minimum, sustain an effort and pour energy into our projects. We could be working in an unstable way, using evasive tactics or escaping from the situation somehow. Awareness of an irritated, distracted, restless or bored mentality is imperative. In order to succeed we must accept that we might require regular stimulus and change or our efforts might be futile. If something doesn’t work out as planned or expected, we need to stretch our mind and look for an alternative. In addition, we could be facing serious relationship issues, where it is best to avoid any confrontation, but to employ tact and diplomacy instead. Moreover, we need to be honest and upfront in all our dealings and at the same time be cautious and wary as to who we trust.
