– First Quarter Moon at 9:23 Libra/Cancer at 5:51 pm PDT
Prior to the waxing Libra Moon’s square to the Cancer Sun that accompanies the ‘crisis in action’ in the Cancer lunation cycle, Venus in Taurus, the Moon’s dispositor, is squaring the nodal axis across Leo/Aquarius.
This represents a turning point destiny-wise that affects our personal values and preferences as the Mercury-Mars-Pluto opposition comes to a head.
An idea, plan or schedule we have in our mind might be a lot more complicated to realize than we thought and therefore, we could end up discarding it entirely.
As a consequence, we might not be sure how to proceed, especially since we can’t do it in the same manner we used to in the past. We’re confronted by circumstances, which are so complex, that we might have to take a step back and yield to the situation, at least for the time being.
Thus, the ‘trial of endurance’ that’s ‘testing our will’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Cancer New Moon) could have left us undecided or vacillating about our options with the inclination to give in to defeat at this point.
Chiron is stationing retrograde at the tail end of Pisces and will for the next 5 months trace back his steps to a degree he first transited on March 8. During this period we’ll have a chance to review the wounding and healing principle in our life, in particular what our experiences of the last 4 months concerns for which we need to find closure and receive some form of illumination so that we can bridge these issues and put them behind us. For now though, we have to retreat into our ‘cave’ and ponder until the course of action that feels right to us is being revealed.
Tarot card of the day is “The Hermit”, suggesting that we entered a stage of introspection, where we need to look for the answers within, thereby engaging in soul searching. It’s a solitary quest, because the truths we’re seeking do not lie in the external world, but within us. Therefore, we begin to re-evaluate our goals and might change our overall direction. In recognizing that each of our thoughts and actions is a brick we use to build our lives, we partake in the creation of our own reality. We have to find the light within and allow ourselves to be touched and illuminated by it as well as help to light the way for others. Alas, all the darkness that seems to surround us cannot blot out the light. Moreover, there is an emphasis on peace and patience as well as on accepting the limitations of time and age. The Hermit also symbolizes a taskmaster, who leads with purpose and wisdom gathered from years of experience. He furthermore represents completion. Thus, we may well be progressing to a new stage of life, but need to remove any difficulties from a current situation in order to make progress.
