A Full Moon that highlights the Aquarius-Leo polarity brings matters regarding our individual creativity, self-expression, sense of Self and identity versus our group participation and contribution and our social purpose and social ambitions to a head.
This one is a Lunar Eclipse, which intensifies the emotional effect and impact on our inner landscape. In the same sense as the Moon disc disappears in the dark umbra of the Earth’s shadow during a partial lunar eclipse can we get a tangible grip on our emotions and habitual and instinctive responses.
The lunation cycle is culminating now – we are being illumined one way or the other by the crisis, closure or completion that’s unfolding in a rather rapid procession. Intentions set at the time of the Leo New Moon and even farther back at the time of the Aquarius New Moon at the end of January are either bearing fruit or have to let go off.
Using the symbolical imagery of the Sabians we notice that the ‘man mobilized by his ambitions’ (Sabian Symbol for the Leo New Moon) has become ‘a big business man’ (Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius Full Moon); the ‘conflagration’ he experienced (keyword of the Sabian Symbol for the Leo New Moon) has brought him to a point, where he needs to be able to ‘organize many aspects of an enterprise that involves a large group of human beings’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius Full Moon). This is the result of ‘a flag that turned into an eagle’ (Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius New Moon from January) and thus, of ‘acting out the vision’ (keyword of the Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius New Moon). As a consequence, ‘the storm ends and all nature rejoices in brilliant sunshine’ (Sabian Symbol for the Leo Sun), which means there is a ‘surge of life and love after the major crisis’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Leo Sun) we underwent.
The Sabian Symbol for the LE/Full Moon at 15:25 Aquarius states:
“A big business man at his desk. Keynote: The ability to organize the many aspects of an enterprise involving a large group of human beings – ORGANATION.”
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 15:25 Leo states:
“The storm ended, all nature rejoices in brilliant sunshine. Keynote: The surge of life and love after a major crisis – THE JOY AND POWER OF NEW BEGINNINGS.”

Suggested by these statements is that we’ve been trying to reinvent ourselves and turn our life around, whereby we had to weather a few storms – we could have even underwent an existential crisis. However, the revelation we received or insights we’re having at this critical time inspired us to look at the issue differently, from a new angle or perspective, which will allow us to break out of a pattern we’ve been repeating that has proved to be futile, because our role in this situation hasn’t changed and we ended up giving up our independence (the eclipse is on the South Node).
This realization is the catalyst that propels us into serving our self-interests or to follow the beat of our own drum, which requires moreover that we stop criticizing ourselves or doubting our skills if we want to succeed with our causes and projects. Also, we cannot wait on others, think they have the answers or the expertise or expect from them to help us, but have to do this ourselves. We’re truly the co-creators of our own reality and future.
Uranus, the ruler of the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse has turned retrograde a few days ago and is holding a semi-sextile with retrograde Chiron in Pisces and a semi-square with retrograde Neptune in Pisces. There is strong emphasis on reviewing and reforming, altering, resetting, reshaping, remodeling and re-envisioning (Mercury is about to turn retrograde as well). We definitely have to go over ‘the whole process’ we initiated with a changed attitude or mindset.
The Jupiter-Pluto square brought up some inconvenient truths we cannot deny any longer that forced us to change course or at least evaluate our options anew. Mercury’s trine to Pallas indicates that our analysis of these circumstances has helped us to recognize certain patterns that keep repeating. As Venus moves into tense octile aspects with the nodal axis, we are urged to deviate from this path and concentrate on our future prospects instead by taking care of our own stuff. Although we might have needed the input from the group, our social circle and friends in the past, now is the time to nurture and support our set of values.
Mars in Leo’s semi-sextile to Ceres in Cancer asks us to follow the lead of our heart and invest our energy in such a way that it feeds and sustains our innermost longings.
Tarot card of the day is the “7 of Swords”, emphasizing a need to remain focused, keep distractions at a minimum, sustain an effort and pour energy into our projects. We could be working in an unstable way, using evasive tactics or escaping from the situation somehow. Awareness of an irritated, distracted, restless or bored mentality is imperative. In order to succeed we must accept that we might require regular stimulus and change or our efforts might be futile. If something doesn’t work out as planned or expected, we need to stretch our mind and look for an alternative. In addition, we could be facing serious relationship issues, where it is best to avoid any confrontation, but to employ tact and diplomacy instead. Moreover, we need to be honest and upfront in all our dealings and at the same time be cautious and wary as to who we trust.
