Astro-Notes on April 29, 2018 – Scorpio Full Moon

Yesterday did Juno, representing our relationship principle, make ingress to Aries, where she will be traversing until July 1, and joined Chiron in conjunction. Thus, we just entered a period during which we will seek to start anew in the relationship area or initiate relationships and conquer new relationship territory by assuming a more proactive, self-determined and assertive role and this is strongly connected to the wounding and healing principle, especially to new or fresh wounds we need to approach from an evolved perspective.

Mars, the ruler over the sign Aries and thus dispositor of these energies (Juno and Chiron), has just left a conjunction to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. We’ve done our ‘soul work’ – courses of action we used in the past together with old ‘MOs’ (modus operantis and motivations) have been discarded – we realized we moved on from this, because we have matured and evolved and are serious about our intentions. This is the Wesak Full Moon after all, celebrating the unification of the Buddha (enlightenment) and Christ (love) principles and thus the regeneration and uplifting of the planetary and spiritual vibration.

At this special Full Moon, the Sun in Taurus is trine retrograde Saturn in Capricorn and Vesta in Capricorn is semi-square retrograde Jupiter in Scorpio, while Venus in Gemini casts a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, signifying that we’ve completed a step or lesson on our journey by overcoming a part of our nature that belongs in the past. The understanding we gained from our experiences prevents us from repeating mistakes or having regrets. Therefore, it is necessary at this point to review our circumstances together with the options we have in this regard as we dedicate us toward the achievement of our causes and projects. It also requires from us to be more flexible priority- and preference-wise.

As the Aries lunation cycle culminates in the Scorpio Full Moon, the impulse that sounded forth at the time of the Scorpio New Moon back in November of last year also comes to fruition. In the symbolical language of the Sabians the story goes like this: ‘The lost opportunity that is being regained’ (Sabian Symbol for the Aries NM) has led to ‘a fellowship supper that reunites old comrades’ (Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio FM) – an opening, offering or occasion is presented that brings people with a shared background back together. This is the result of ‘a military band’s noisily march through the city streets’ (Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio NM from November) that has been replaced by ‘a red cross nurse’ (Sabian Symbol for the Taurus Sun). So, the ‘pomp’ and ‘aggressive glorification of cultural values’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio NM) has resulted in ‘the compassionate linking of all men and consecration to humanity’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus Sun) after we underwent ‘a revision of attitude and inner revaluation’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Aries NM). A good example of this energy is demonstrated by the recent developments the leaders of the 2 Koreas initiated.
The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon at 9:38 Scorpio states:
“A fellowship supper reunites old comrades. Keynote: The overtones of human relationships based on a community of work or experience – COMRADESHIP.”
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 9:38 Taurus states:
A red cross nurse. Keynote: The compassionate linking of all men – CONSECRATION TO HUMANITY.”

Tarot card of the day is the “Knight of Pentacles”, a card that contains an element of perfectionism and brings good news in financial matters. It indicates that we are unwavering in the pursuit of a goal, assess our circumstances candidly, are diligent and industrious, follow a routine and pay attention to the mundane and normal parts of life. We assume responsibility and take charge of a situation by accomplishing what is expected from us. This card has a grounding influence.

Astro-Notes on April 15, 2018 – Aries New Moon

Early this morning did Mercury station direct in Aries. He’s been in retrograde motion since March 23 and will only leave his shadow period on May 3. Thus, the energy in regard to matters of commerce, mobility, connection and communication is beginning to shift and things we had on our mind or in our schedule for a while can now be addressed or set in motion.

This happens in sync with the Aries New Moon, which is an auspicious time for setting intentions toward new beginnings, conquering, daring, initiating, taking action or asserting ourselves. And that’s exactly what we need to do during this new cycle. With Mercury semi-square Venus, Chiron semi-square Neptune and Jupiter sextile Pluto, we’re feeling the pressure of dissatisfying or disillusioning conditions that have been becoming more real or clear during Mercury’s retrograde journey and have to be resolved – rather sooner than later. Things cannot continue in this fashion. Something needs to be done about them.

Therefore, we have to summon our courage and take our chances with the people or parties involved and bring these issues up for review if we want to end our struggle. Gaining influence over these affairs is possible if we can manage to establish rapport and understanding and this requires that we have to adjust our mental strategies or approach accordingly in order to achieve our ends as shown by Pallas’ quincunx to Saturn.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 26:02 Aries states:
“Through imagination a lost opportunity is regained. Keynote: Revision of attitude and inner revaluation – UNDAUNTED FAITH IN THE PURSUIT OF ONE’S IDEALS.”
(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 68-69)

Tarot card of the day is “The Magician”, coming with the message ‘I have the power to create’, because we have all the tools we need available – the sword of intellect, the wand of inspiration, the cup of emotion and the pentacle of practicality. This card suggests that it is time to approach our whole life or a situation with a new creative and original attitude. We have the ability to act not react, as well as the willpower to channel our energy in the direction we want it to go. With self-confidence we will gain the knowledge and the ability to tackle the important issues that need to be dealt with so that success can be achieved.
