Astro-Notes on July 6, 2014 – recognizing choices

Today, Pallas in Virgo engages in a quincunx to Uranus in

Aries and a sextile to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio. Venus in Gemini moves into this aspect pattern with a square to Pallas, a sextile to Uranus and a quincunx to Saturn Rx, which is making things a bit more complex or complicated, while leaving us with mixed feelings about the whole matter. We thought we had it all figured out, had made all the necessary adjustments so that everything would work out perfectly what our personal priorities or preferences concerns. However, looking at the progress we made so far and the trends together with the obstacles we have to deal with or limitations we must accept, there’s a chance we can’t meet the deadline after all. Therefore, and after the input we’ve received, we’ve come to a decision and do the smart thing, even though this requires quite a few adjustments and might not be the best choice in regard to our personal needs and wants, but it could prove to be the just the most effective method or approach to a situation that could otherwise easily get out of our hands. After the Moon’s ingress to Scorpio at 3:33 pm EDT will we seek renewal and empowerment.

Tarot card of the day is the 2 of Pentacles”, advising us to strike a balance. This card comes with the message of unification as well as of recognizing choices and alternatives. It is important to think before we act, to be clear on our priorities and also on where we want to invest our time and energy. We need to maintain the harmony, be patient and cope with the demands in order to get on top of daily affairs. However, we could be feeling in high spirits and do something we enjoy.

Personal Notes: Yesterday when transiting Venus in Gemini squared my natal Uranus-Chiron opposition (with Uranus ruling my 6th house of work and my natal Saturn – obligations in this regard) I decided to go on the nightshift for the remaining 4 days of this work week in order to be able to accomplish my tasks as a department manager before I will leave on vacation. A co-worker, who is also a department manager had made the same arrangements for herself, which convinced me of the necessity of this sacrifice (natal Chiron in Pisces) and so did the reality we’re facing when we work during the day with customers in the store. Also, my SWAS leader to whom I have to report, agreed and admitted to this fact, even though that leaves him too in a somewhat dire situation during the day. However, deadlines have to be met and although I had my work week planned so that my schedule would fit my personal needs, I have to make these compromises based on the complicated circumstances. Yet, this might enable me to get on top of my affairs at work, though to my personal ‘detriment’ of course.

Astro-Notes for the weekend of April 5-6, 2014 – choices and adjustments

Yesterday, the Sun in Aries was involved in a semi-sextile to

Chiron in Pisces and Mercury in Pisces in a quincunx to retrograde Ceres in Libra. Consequently, we had to adjust our purpose and plans or schedule to bridge personal problems and mend wounds so that we were able to help out others and rebalance relationship situations. Venus made ingress to Pisces at 4:30 pm EDT, where she will be traversing until May 3 and which initiated a period during which we feel more sympathetic, sensitive and receptive. Therefore, our values are more formidable, while we’re more inclined to idealize the emotional, financial, material and relational aspects of our life, but at the same time could also be more confused and confounded about them. Since the Moon’s ingress to Cancer at 5:39 pm EDT could we have felt safer and better supported, while focusing on nurturance, closeness, warmth and protection.

Tarot card of the day was the 6 of Pentacles”, suggesting that a balance of mind and spirit was needed to be able to decide which the best course of action would be in a difficult situation. Renewal was possible and the equilibrium could have been restored due to the kindness and support of others. We could have tapped the flow of abundance into our lives by placing ourselves purposefully in positions that stimulated a response from our environment. However, the element of balance was emphasized, especially what equality and fairness concerns. As we give so shall we receive and dispense charity in our own lives. This card speaks of the cyclical nature of life.

Today now Mercury in Pisces engages in a quincunx to the North Node in Libra (semi-sextile South Node in Aries), which is indicative of yet another adjustment that aligns us with our destined path and shifts our attention to our future prospects, especially in regard to harmony, accommodation and style or beautification. We are determined to pick up where we left off in the recent past.

Tarot card of the day is the 2 of Pentacles”, which calls for flexibility and indicates movement and change in the natural progress of a project or business. We might have to decide between 2 alternatives and travel beyond the conventional, seeking combination and unification. Some kind of balancing act is signified that requires from us to juggle our various duties, responsibilities and resources.

Astro-Notes on February 3, 2014 – flexibility

After the Moon’s ingress to Aries yesterday night at 11:54 pm EST have we been feeling more animated, determined and action-oriented. At 12:20 pm EST today will Ceres make ingress to Scorpio, where she will traverse until March 22 before her regress to Libra during her retrograde phase. Only on August 7 will she return to Scorpio. This transit initiates a period during which we have a chance to transform and renew our maternal principle, especially in the way we seek to influence developments and seasonal or cyclical growth and share or merge our creative resources. A quincunx from retrograde Pallas in Virgo to Uranus in Aries requires a strategic adjustment regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of our approach or tactics – or in other words – what works and what doesn’t in this context – to be able to make progress and this could mean that we have to consider an alternative we haven’t tried yet or need to revisit.

Astro-Notes on October 28, 2013 – getting on top of daily affairs

Venus in Sagittarius participates in the Vesta-Eris quincunx by

casting a square to the former and a trine to the latter. She also engages in a semi-square to the North Node in Scorpio (sesqui-quadrate South Node in Taurus). Meanwhile, the Chiron-Pluto sextile perfects. Consequently, determined to demonstrate our potential and thus, to show what we are made of and capable of, we strive to succeed, no matter what it takes. We are on a roll, knowing that we have to meet our objectives under complicated circumstances, where we don’t have much leeway for negotiation. Although we have to be firm and resolute, we also have to be aware of our attitude and be a ‘good sport’, ‘playing nice’ and fair. After the Moon’s ingress to Virgo late in the night at 11:44 pm EDT, will we be able to curb our enthusiasm a bit and feel in control over the situation.

Astro-Notes on October 22, 2013 – choices

With the Moon in Gemini all day we’re flexible and adaptable, especially in the early morning hours when she moves into the Pluto-Chiron-Uranus configuration and we have to adjust to yet another new trend or change in our circumstances, forcing us to be aware of everything this entails, while keeping us on our feet and spinning our wheels. Thus, we have to make smart choices, knowing what we can anticipate as the outcome of our decisions and rationalizing accordingly. Her quincunx to Saturn in Scorpio around noon requires that we take things more seriously, show some patience and discipline and focus on our structure, whereas her sesqui-quadrate to the Sun in Libra in the late afternoon could cause us some stress in regard to last-minute arrangements. Therefore, her opposition to Venus in Sagittarius at 8:34 pm EDT might raise a range of emotions we need to address.
