Astro-Notes on June 9, 2015 – Third Quarter Moon

Daily aspects:
– Mars in Gemini sextile Uranus in Aries
– Juno in Leo semi-square NN in Libra/sesqui SN in Aries
– Third Quarter Moon at 18:29 Pisces/Gemini at 11:41 am EDT
– Pallas Rx in Sagittarius square Chiron in Pisces

The shifts we experienced over the last few days when Ceres turned retrograde in Aquarius and when Venus made ingress to Leo and Vesta to Aries and both of them engaged in a trine with retrograde Saturn in Sagittarius right away, have not only inspired us to turn inside and review the nurturing principle and how it operates in our life, especially in regard to our social purpose, circle and identity, but also to revisit our sense of structure together with the conditions, boundaries or limits we have developed over time. As a result, we learnt some important personal lessons related to tolerance and to our judgment of others lately, because the ego came into play and so did our self-love for which our inner flame is burning strong currently. In fact, it is firing us up, daring us and pushing us. Consequently, convinced by our righteousness or beliefs, dramas have been enacted, which resulted either in self-aggrandizement or in growing understanding. In any case, it is essential that we reach an agreement or else we have to cut ties to be able to move on from these situations. Therefore, the ‘crisis in consciousness’ that accompanies the Third Quarter Moon challenges us to become aware of our reality picture and perception of things, in particular what our expectations and projections concerns, and also of the thinking process that leads us to these assumptions and conclusions. We have a chance now to make progress if we are willing to look at both sides of an issue, because our approach or the politics and strategies we are using for this purpose can either harm or help, depending on how flexible and adaptable we are and if our intentions are well-meant. Thus, it’s either peace or war – the choice is ours (Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon was: “An old Indian woman selling the artifacts of her tribe to passers-by. Keynote: Peaceful adaptation to collective needs – ADJUSTMENT.”).

Tarot card of the day is the 5 of Wands”, depicting a day of struggles, restlessness and also playfulness when a lot of ideas are floating around and we could encounter conflicts or quarrels – inside and outside. We might be bothered by trivialities as well as overwhelmed by the pressure and demands on us. It is important to not lose sight of the bigger picture and let these minor vexations deplete our energies. Therefore, we need to get a grasp on these fluctuating energies and whims and carefully assess our attitude, while opening us to the changes they bring into our life.

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Taurus quincunx NN in Libra/semi-sextile SN in Aries
– Sun in Aries trine Saturn Rx in Sagittarius
– Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

A relationship situation, in which we could be struggling with unsettled emotions and even hostility or

fear, required from us to adjust our values and preferences to be able to arrange for our future prospects and ensure our emotional security. We express a greater sense of structure and have become stronger as a result, being determined to take more responsibility for our life.
Case in point: Germanwings cancels flights after staff refuses to fly in the aftermath of the tragedy that happened as Mercury met Chiron in conjunction in Pisces. Here, in Southern Ontario, we experienced an ice storm.

Daily aspects:

– Venus in Pisces semi-sextile Uranus in Aries and sextile Pluto in Capricorn
– Moon ingress to Libra at 1:43 pm EST

Now that we’ve reached a turning point destiny-wise that concerns the nurturing principle, we had to confront personal beliefs, truths and convictions, which are counter-productive and even contrary to our progress, especially if we want to change our life or sense of Self. Therefore, it is important that we reconsider which causes we are committed toward and which things we are holding sacred or invest our energy in and whether this is worth all the agitation, stress, frustration, struggles and fighting or if we would be better advised to emotionally detach and get a different perspective on the issue that allows us to establish support and rapport with others. Consequently, today we had an opportunity to dam in the flow of emotions and even if we gave in to a few temptations, they were just ‘minor slips’ for which we could make up later if we chose so (I got a bit worked up too today, but this comes with the territory, so to speak – a job in retail is very taxing on the nerves. I need to “catch my breath” and calm down – my Ceres Return is only a few days away). Things went smoother after the Moon’s ingress to Libra. Then, we felt lighter, better and more balanced as well as at ease in the social scene.

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Aquarius opposite Jupiter Rx in Leo
– Sun in Capricorn semi-square Chiron in Pisces
– Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces

Confronted by reviewed personal options, we’re weighing the alternatives we’re presented with and could change our priorities or preferences and thus, feeling appreciative and inspired after we evaluated offers differently. It is especially important today to be aware of our blind spot and not dismiss opportunities for healing or bettering our life’s conditions right away. We don’t really know if we don’t try and give certain input or suggestions a chance.

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Virgo semi-sextile Pallas in Libra
– Ceres in Scorpio trine Chiron Rx in Pisces
– Saturn in Scorpio semi-sextile NN in Libra/quincunx SN in Aries
– Mercury in Libra opposite Eris Rx in Aries
– Moon ingress to Leo at 11:09 pm EDT

After I attended a workshop yesterday evening in Kitchener, I came home pretty late and went straight to bed. I had to fix something for my work lunch this morning and this afternoon I was busy posting my flyers. It is only now that I sat down on the computer. However, I still have to do my household chores. Therefore, it’s not always possible for me to publish my blog posts regularly. Sorry. At work, our yearly anniversary sales event started off – thus, the 5 of Wands was a perfect draw for the day, because this card like the goddess Eris corresponds to competition. So, the energy weather saw us taking care of business by serving our values and selling our stuff efficiently and skillfully, whereby we employed relationship strategies that appealed and which help us to attract others and win them over with the promise of good deals. Once the mood will shift at the end of the day, things will get more dramatic as well as entertaining, while we seek to connect with our inner child and feel more creative.

Daily aspects:
– Mercury in Libra quincunx Chiron Rx in Pisces and opposite Uranus Rx in Aries
– Vesta conjunct Saturn in Scorpio
– Juno in Cancer trine Saturn in Scorpio
– Mars ingress to Sagittarius at 5:56 pm EDT (until Oct. 26)

Today, we have to confront the changed situation by focusing on progress and evaluating how new trends

may affect our plans. This includes that we may have to rearrange or reschedule. In any case, we’re tapping into our inner reservoirs of strength and utilize our resourcefulness, stamina and renewed drive to master our own world. We know we have to turn a corner and get ahead of the game if we want to feel a sense of completion, accomplishment, contentment or pride at the end of the day. Mars’ ingress to Sagittarius in the evening brings a period of increased activity during which we seek to boost our initiatives and drive and to expand our reach, when we have many intentions and desires we want to pursue and when our approach is optimistic, adventurous and enterprising.

It is critical today that we keep our cool, while reviewing the newest trends or changes. Although we may feel annoyed at first, there’s no need to let things over which we have no control provoke us. We have to distance ourselves from the issues and reason them out, thereby bringing order to chaos and fixing things once again. This of course is part of the larger pattern, which is playing out in the background and forcing us to sacrifice our personal mission and core principles for the common cause.
