A little self-love goes a long way – that’s what we could have learnt yesterday. Consequently, we’re starting a new sub-cycle today, during which we have a chance to focus on healing and wholesomeness, whereby it is critical that we put our best interests first in relationship situations where we tend to suffer, because of victimizing and confining thoughts, which have kept us trapped in this vicious circle. Our awareness of the dynamics, which play into this pattern, is essential in this regard and therefore, we have to come to the realization that we need to let go – no matter whether we care for it or not – and just follow the flow of events. We will get recognition for our initiatives and role in the grander scheme of things. After the Moon’s ingress to Gemini will it be easier for us to adapt and mix it up.

Tarot card of the day is the 2 of Wands”, representing the urge to move on, be bold and daring as well as original and proactive. This card indicates that we have come to a time of decision, where we must decide whether we want to build on what we have or perhaps expand in a new direction. Therefore, it is imperative that we bring forward the patience and focus of our intent and maximize on these opportunities, which are coming our way now. We need to confront the situation head-on, leave familiar grounds behind, step out into a new world and explore our options. Moreover, this card can also refer to the productive meeting of minds, from which partnerships can prosper and be successful.

Now that we’ve learnt our lesson in regard to self-preservation or found out about our social duties and

responsibilities we reached a better understanding about our role in the larger scheme of things and the purpose we’re meant to fulfill to validate our worth and prove ourselves. Therefore, we carried out our mission to contribute to these causes we hold sacred and acted on our beliefs, principles and convictions (an excellent example are the 3 missing school girls from the UK who just crossed into Syria to join IS). A new wind is blowing, so to speak, and as things are changing once again, we can take advantage of the situation and make a difference or progress with specific commitments we’ve chosen to pursue (another great example is Obama’s veto of the keystone bill). After the Moon’s ingress to Gemini will we feel lighter and also more flexible, while seeking to adapt to the new trends.

Tarot card of the day is the 4 of Swords”, signifying a break from normal life and a time when we avoid overexertion. We seek to relax body and soul, because we want to gain a better perspective by standing back from the situation and coming to terms with what is. For the moment, there is a truce, which gives us a chance to stabilize ourselves, recover, center our thoughts, stop worrying, put down our defenses and take a breather from the chaos and stress around us. In a practical sense, this card is an indicator that we need to have some time out from our current circumstances, to reflect and review your progress so far to be able to re-evaluate and re-assess our priorities.

Today we get a choice to talk about future arrangements by reaching out to others and negotiating

the ‘rules of engagement’ together with long-term strategies we want to employ. This means we have to convince them to cooperate with us so that we can get on the same page in spite of our different agendas or beliefs. Certain politics or tactics cannot be avoided any longer if we want to save us the agitation and don’t squander our energy anymore, but have everything proceeding smoothly. Therefore, this afternoon a period begins during which we will change how we invest our energy, reform or upgrade the causes we’re dedicated toward and specialize in the things we hold sacred, whereby it is critical that we bridge our problems and make progress. After the Moon’s ingress to Gemini will feel more flexible, social and easy-going.

Tarot card of the day is The Moon”, suggesting that some things are hidden from conscious view, making it necessary to look well below the surface in order to find clarity or truth. On the other hand, invisible things could be brought to the surface and unforeseen perils could be experienced. This card has moreover the potential to project fears into the present and future based on past ordeals. Repressed thoughts, images and feelings could cause overwhelming disturbances. We might be longing for sleep. It is important to remedy this for which we need to go through a purging process, thereby releasing deep memories. The Moon is a card of illusion and deception, and therefore often suggests a time when something is not as it appears, causing errors in our judgment. It is also possible that we may have lost our way and are now left to walk in the dark, guided only by our inner light and intuition. Nonetheless, we need to go on without a clear picture of where we are or where we are going. It is true that things are vague and illusive, neither clear nor certain or definitive in any way and that therefore we may be torn between many influences, which could distract us from following our core path. The more important is it to reflect upon our life and to use our intuitive abilities or listen to our inner voice to get in touch with our vision. Renewal is possible and secrets may be revealed as we’re walking these dreamscapes. The Moon is moreover a symbol of the turning tides and can refer to healing abilities and other psychic or intuitive work.

We stand on a cross-roads commitment-wise as we enter this New Year that forces us to confront our personal options and beliefs, which are under review, in order to be able to move on from the past and thus, from reacting impulsively, impatiently and even angrily, thereby burning off our energy quickly and allowing ourselves to be stressed out or overcome by frustration and negativity. If we want to achieve our goals, we have to do things differently and this requires that we set our intentions accordingly, focusing on success and progress rather than struggling with chaos, disorganization and disruptions. We have to understand that these are part of life and that we cannot control our circumstances, but we can master them by devoting us toward a constructive and well-managed use of our energy and also by holding ourselves to high standards. By taking advantage of certain trends in a group situation or other special circumstance, we can demonstrate mindfulness and leadership and be proactive at the same time and this is what really counts, especially in regard to how suitable we are for a role or position we’re holding or aspiring toward in our competitive world. For instance, I had to rise to the occasion at work and supervise some of my co-workers in a coordinated effort to put our store back together and get our merchandise out. Although I couldn’t accomplish everything I wanted to do, we worked together very well, trying to do our best. It was also my intention to write this blog post before I had to leave for a late shift at work, I just couldn’t achieve that goal due to personal responsibilities and happenings, which prevented me from writing in addition to a lack of time. Unsurprisingly, I drew this rather discouraging card (and it has meaning for the entire year!!!!).

Tarot card of the day was the 5 of Cups”, a card that is associated with loss, suffering and sadness. There is a lack of attainment or non-fulfillment of expected results. Thus, today is a day of emotional up and downs when we could feel disappointed, cry over spilled milk or letting go of a hope. We might be feeling regret, only seeing the negative in a situation and generally have a pessimistic outlook on things. The more important is it to focus on our higher potential and the things are still left for us to work with. Forgiveness and the ability to recover are necessary.

However, I couldn’t reach my mother and my old aunt was too sick to be able to talk to me (I usually call them on the 1st day of the new year to wish them a happy new year), which together with a certain lack of attainment, corresponds to the message of this card. Not to mention that I noticed many tragic events in the news. Therefore, for many people this has been a rather sad start as we’re closer to a Full Moon than to a new cycle, which actually began at the time of the Winter Solstice and Capricorn New Moon. Moreover, last year’s card was the Ace of Cups and this proceeding from the Ace to the Five shows the change in the relationship area that’s hanging over our heads after we started over and renewed our relationships or got involved in new relationships in 2014.

Today now, we had to make adjustments that concerned our causes and priorities based on relationship dynamics (mostly reconnections for myself – Moon in Gemini is a talkative phase) and interactions with others, which required these ‘sacrifices’. It was and is critical to show compassion and to try to put ourselves in the other’s shoes and also to acknowledge the value of these relationships or friendships, to validate and appreciate these important others as well as their contributions to our own happiness, even if that comes at the expense of our time. Our integrity and competence is growing with every single commitment we take seriously and with every single step we take in the right direction.

Tarot card of the day is the 6 of Wands”, suggesting that things are changing in a positive way. There is the possibility of acclaim and acknowledgment. It could be our day to shine or we could be coming out on top. We strive to be successful and seek to promote ourselves more frequently in order to gain the recognition we desire. However, it is important that we keep the ego in check.

Astro-Notes on November 7, 2014

Daily aspects:
– Mercury in Libra sesqui Chiron Rx in Pisces
– Moon ingress to Gemini at 8:44 pm EST
– Venus in Scorpio semi-sextile NN in Libra/quincunx SN in Aries
– Mars in Capricorn semi-square Saturn in Scorpio
– Juno in Leo quincunx Pluto in Capricorn
– Ceres in Sagittarius square Neptune Rx in Pisces

It is particularly important today to be aware of our projections and the messages we send across or the

impression we give off, because we can’t have it both ways or only see our side of the issue. Also, vacillating or flip-flopping will only lead to confusion, while hoping for our expectations to be met or some kind of ‘closure’ could be rather disappointing. As much as we want to see results, we might just have to wait it out due to further delays. Therefore, we have to adjust our priorities and preferences and take the one-step-at-a-time approach in order to be able to arrange for our future prospects, instead of obsessing about immediate reactions or responses. Although we know there’s lots to do or to be planned and organized and this could feel rather overwhelming, we have to understand that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’ and that stressing out about it won’t help us. In fact, we might have to walk a fine line, relax or chill out and show more tolerance if we want to accomplish our goals and establish our influence or gain control over these affairs. Later at night will we feel more at ease and seek to adapt to the situation, knowing it’s gonna be a busy weekend and thus, we getter go with the flow.

Tarot card of the day is the Ace of Swords”, indicating a new way of thinking or the conception of an idea or the start of a new project. Our mental powers have been awakened and we’re seeing through illusions, cutting through the confusion, dispelling doubts, finding out the facts, thinking our way through or championing a cause. It’s a time of great insight and mental clarity, which could result in a break-through or aha-moment as well as a greater understanding.

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Libra opposite Uranus Rx in Aries
– Moon ingress to Gemini at 11:50 am EDT
– Mars in Sagittarius sextile NN in Libra/trine SN in Aries
– Mercury Rx in Libra sesqui Chiron Rx in Pisces

Confronted by change, twists or turns in a relationship situation that has an effect on our future we

have to evaluate matters properly and weigh the pros and cons before we make an important decision that concerns an unresolved problem now that we have a chance to move on from the past and do something about our future prospects. After the Moon’s sign change around noon will things get a lot busier and more social and we will find it easier to be flexible as well as adaptable.

Tarot card of the day is the King of Cups”, suggesting that we feel emotionally balanced and in control, because we’re drawing on emotional maturity to navigate life’s challenges. We’re approachable and can be relied upon, while being responsive instead of reactive and thus capable of managing strong emotions that may surface. Moreover, there is a focus on business matters. Consequently, a wide range of artistic and cultural activities are emphasized.

– Moon ingress to Gemini at 2:26 am EDT
– Mars in Sagittarius sesqui Uranus Rx in Aries
– Venus in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn
– Vesta in Scorpio semi-sextile NN in Libra/quincunx SN in Aries
– Mercury shadow period begins

This morning we might wake with a plan in our mind or a schedule filled with errands, all of which could keep us pretty busy. Moreover, we feel a sense of excitement and anticipation that keeps us spinning our wheels as we hurry to get everything done in time for whatever we have arranged for later on. And we will manage perfectly, because we are well prepared and have everything worked out and at the same time, we feel relaxed and rested enough or comfortable and well situated to deal with our circumstances. Relationship-wise, we have reached a cross-roads now that we cannot depend on certain others for support anymore or due to the ending of traditional, habitual and familiar relationship patterns and roles. Therefore, it’s time to move on from the past and to evaluate our future prospects in this regard, which requires that we have to integrate the new trends and make the best of it all. With Mercury entering his shadow period today, these matters will come up for review and reassessment.

Tarot card of the day is the 8 of Wands”, representing a very focused kind of motion and activity and a time when we need to strike while the iron is hot as the path is cleared now. It encourages us to move quickly to pursue the best opportunities available right now and thus to reach for our goals enthusiastically in order to make fast progress.

Personally, I’m busy doing laundry and household chores. Chatted with my daughter all morning on Skype, which was lots of fun and it felt as if she was just sitting right here on the table with me (8 of Wands).
