Astro-Notes on August 21, 2014

Daily aspects:
– Venus in Leo quincunx Pluto Rx in Capricorn
– Mercury in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn and semi-sextile Venus in Leo

By reining in our personal preferences and feelings of pride or entitlement we can resist temptations of

a lower nature and respond to reorganized affairs with more objectivity, which allows us to be more reasonable and use better judgment. Thus, we honor those values, which are more in line with our idea of practicality and efficiency.

Tarot card of the day is the Page of Pentacles”, a card that encourages us to begin putting those plans and actions in place that will ultimately lead us toward the fulfillment of our goals and dreams. It is time to start acting on all those grand ideas and concepts that have been brewing in our imagination. No matter what’ll take, we need to see the project through and work on the realization of our vision.

Astro-Notes on July 15, 2013 – accommodating

In addition to the perfection of yesterday’s aspects are we dealing with a sesqui-quadrate between Mars in Cancer

and retrograde Juno in Aquarius and the First Quarter Moon, which will transpire at 11:18 pm EDT. Not to mention that Jupiter in Cancer has moved in the position of the third leg of the water Grand Trine and indeed, we’re under the spell of a heat wave that is not enjoyable anymore, but just feels sickening, because it is just too much to bear. The Pow Wow festival was awe-inspiring with its colorful dancers, the powerful drumming and the immense variety of native goods to choose from. However, due to the extreme heat, everybody was exhausted with dancers quickly approaching a breaking point and removing their customs as soon as they left the circle. People had to remain in the shades of the forest on the camping ground. Hanging around the vendor stands seemed to be impossible or one would pass out. My girlfriend and I hit the beach later in the afternoon to get some much needed relief. It was packed there, which is unusual for Ipperwash. Meanwhile, the oil companies used the opportunity to send gas prices sky high, yet lines were long everywhere. I stayed overnight at my friend’s place and met her beautiful, funny kids for the first time. Unfortunately, they both caught a bug, which forced her to stay at home today and consequently, the store she manages in Grand Bend will remain closed for the day – unless she finds some help somehow. Well, this is what the astrology for today suggests – due to changes in relationship situations or dynamics we have to become inventive and use other sources of support as traditional approaches won’t do. Moreover, we’re challenged to accommodate others, while trying to take care of our own needs. Per example, I watched Lee Ann’s kids as she went out to get some groceries and she drove in front of me to show me the way out of town from her house. Since I have a shift today, I couldn’t stay though to babysit. As soon as I arrived at my home, I packed the gifts for my sister I had purchased yesterday and send them away finally. Her birthday is in a week. After that I went to bed to get some more sleep, instead of writing my blog post or answering mail.

Tarot card of the day is the “Ace of Swords”, indicating a new way of thinking or the conception of an idea or the start of a new project. Our mental powers have been awakened and we’re seeing through illusions, cutting through the confusion, dispelling doubts, finding out the facts, thinking our way through or championing a cause. It’s a time of great insight and mental clarity, which could result in a breakthrough or aha-moment as well as a greater understanding.

Astro-Notes on July 14, 2013 – replenishment

Since the Moon’s ingress to Libra at 3:40 am EDT have we been feeling more balanced and emotionally stable or at peace – at least once she left the instant square to Mars in Cancer. My neighbor’s visitors, per example, just kept running inside and outside of the apartment building, loudly talking and laughing with no regard for anybody else, who actually lives here. However, this is a typical manifestation for this aspect. Meanwhile. Venus in Leo is approaching a quincunx to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun in Cancer a square to Eris in Aries, indicating a value or priority adjustment we make to be able to replenish from within and regain control over our affairs as we are challenged to come out of our protective shell and show a more authentic side of our nature, thereby overcoming all forms of discord we may be experiencing.

Tarot card of the day is the “10 of Cups”, suggesting that we’re calling a truce and restoring harmony where it is needed. We’re working for peace and reaffirming our commitment to bonds. Thus, we create an atmosphere where we can relax, while reducing stress and tensions, and consequently have a chance to experience serenity and contentment. Generally, we can be more at ease. This card is reflective of our personal value system and what we believe will bring us the ultimate fulfillment and happiness in life.

Personal Note: These energies or symbols describe very aptly my plans for the day as I’ll be heading to the PowWow in Kettlepoint later this morning. So excited and so happy to meet up with my girlfriend LeeAnn.

In the news: Jury finds George Zimmerman not guilty – very much to the disapproval of those who were looking for justice for this kid (Venus in Leo qx Pluto Rx in Capricorn), which will be the source of much discord (Sun in Cancer square Eris in Aries), reigniting ‘old passions’ with all the implications of racism, social injustice and ultimately hate.

Astro-Notes on July 5, 2013 – being clear on priorities

The Sun in Cancer’s trine to retrograde Chiron in Pisces with both planetary bodies in connection to my natal Ceres in

house 5 indicated that I would slip into the role of the healer this morning and I did indeed shine a light on a wounding issue that had come full circle and needs to be dealt with in this person’s life I met today. However, the same principle was also operative in my life as I supported myself or my growth in this regard and thus also my life’s path and purpose. And as I turned my cell phone on (since my home phone is still not working and needs to be replaced – it’s just that during the Mercury retrograde we didn’t have those cheap, simple phones in stock) in case they would need me at work, I truly left my ‘cave’ or self-made prison behind. With Venus in Leo in semi-square aspect to Mars in Gemini on which she followed up with a quincunx to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, and retrograde Mercury in Cancer in sesqui-quadrate aspect to retrograde Neptune in Pisces, I had a session with a new client, for which I wanted to prepare mentally (especially since I had canceled on her the first time and worked on other texts/charts in the meantime – thus, my memory needed some refreshing), but then all my good intentions fell by the wayside as I started cleaning up (my apartment was more of a mess than thought). Yes, I gave in to my compulsions (my natal Pluto is in Virgo, the sign of cleanliness or purity) – cleaning was certainly NOT the number 1 priority (Venus in Leo) in this case, but once I saw the end result of my efforts, it made me feel better. Mars in Gemini accentuated by a stressful aspect from Venus also pressured me into doing a lot of the talking. But then, I had expected this after my analysis of the chart. Therefore, we could only touch on THE major issue/problem that was affecting her currently. The Mercury-Neptune aspect suggests that much has been left unsaid, which hopefully will be revealed next time. I did actually fill 3 pages with notes prior to the consultation and I was so curious to hear her story! Yet, a single session is never enough to cover all those topics and experiences. Meanwhile, I responded to my mail, but I’m still not through everything that arrived in my inbox. It keeps amazing me how I seem to never catch up – courtesy of my Mars-Saturn opposition and my 4th house Mercury’s (chart ruler) square to Mars/ASC/DSC/Vesta and Uranus-Pluto – I don’t even work full time! And when I think of the plans or vision I have for my life, I have to seriously question or even doubt my capability (Mercury-Neptune). So, will I be able to deliver and fulfill my dreams? I already reached the point where I was ready to give up on all my writings and just go outside for a bit since I didn’t feel inspired. What I decided though was to just write this post differently.

Tarot card of the day is the “2 of Pentacles”, advising us to strike a balance. This card comes with the message of unification as well as of recognizing choices and alternatives. It is important to think before we act, to be clear on our priorities and also on where we want to invest our time and energy. We need to maintain the harmony, be patient and cope with the demands in order to get on top of daily affairs. However, we could be feeling in high spirits and do something we enjoy.

Astro-Notes on August 1, 2011 – regaining control

The month of August starts out with a feeling of contentment, which might not last for too long though. Venus in Leo’s trine to Uranus Rx in Aries indicates that our approach and response to the situation was successful. Consequently, progress has been made. As Venus moves into the Pallas Rx-Pluto Rx semi-sextile, casting an opposition to the former and a quincunx to the latter, the question for some is at what cost and for others how to best proceed from this point on to be able to regain control over the situation. With Mars in Gemini involved in a tense sesqui-quadrate aspect to Vesta Rx in Aquarius and the Sun in Leo in a challenging square to Jupiter in Taurus, pursuing the intended course of action for the advancement of our individual or societal cause is stressed, which demands from us to overcome self-indulgent tendencies and show a higher tolerance level as usual. Eris Rx in Aries’ trine to the North Node in Sagittarius, that’s been setting up the background vibe for a while now, emphasizes the concept of mindfulness in this context and as a strong influence in our future prospects.

Tarot card of the day is “Temperance”, suggesting that careful control will bring success. This card brings a balanced, adaptable influence into our life. We are able to see both sides of a situation and are calm and in control, which allows us to resolve matters, sort out disagreements and solve disputes. Our inner voice is guiding us gently to the right outcome and we are patiently listening and following. With the Moon in Virgo all day, we’re practically inclined, methodical, thorough, resolution-oriented and focus on problem-solving.
