  1. Hi, Verena!

Me n Fin got kicked off FB cuz we’re an animal, not a human. Hope your move went okay, you had an enjoyable birthday, and you are well. xox

  2. Hello. I was reading your post as I do daily and see that you are either going to close your site or maintain it on a “as time permits” basis. I do understand how frustrating it can be and can appreciate the hours of work it takes to do what you do. No one, or at least very few, start a web site without the intent to make a little money and at least cover some of your time and expenses. I know there are many sites that put up the PayPal donation banner, and some make it subscription site only, and then there are some that if at least a small donation, you can have access to their site but without any donation, no access.

I think that’s fair. As so many are used to everything to be free, there are some of us that enjoy reading someone’s site and derive pleasure from it and would be willing to pay for your time and effort.

This is just a thought. I’m sure with some cash coming in it brings you to a better place mentally and financially, and is able to fulfill this interest of yours in Astrology.

As I am aware of how very busy life can be, and it seems as though you have your hands full, no doubt, it may be worth giving a donation thing a shot. I don’t know how many regular visitors you get on your site, but if you only had 300 and each donated $10, it’s $3,000 that I am sure would lighten your load a little.

Again, it’s just a thought. And yes I do realize how much competition there is in your field, and also realize how some people have a hard time parting with their money, lol. Again, it’s just a thought.

I am sorry to post here but I looked on your site and there is no contact form or email form to fill out. Whatever your decision, I wish you well and have always enjoyed reading your site. Thank you for your time and effort.

  3. Hi Joe,
thank you. This is very thoughtful of you. I’ve tried the donation option, but my readers didn’t step up to the plate. Some will express their appreciation for my work though and I’m very grateful for that too. Not everybody can afford a donation or is willing to pay for this service and I do understand and respect that. In all honesty, I cannot support other sites either. However, I have a 3rd house Sun and the North Node in Gemini – so, I need to express myself ‘out there’ and I will still post blog entries every once in a while. 🙂
    Thanks again,
    Verena

  4. Hello Verena, I was thinking of you today and popped on your site to read your latest and see how you were doing. I last contacted you quite a long time ago and suggested a donation option and see it is on your page and hope you are realizing some help from that.

I generally keep up with you and see how you are doing and see you just moved. Congratulations!! I have never been to the northwest part of the US but it sounds nice, and the thought of living on an island seems to have it’s own charm. Based on my reading of your columns I know it has not been easy for you and working for people, generally speaking, is not fun either as most superiors don’t belong in those positions, are less knowledgeable than their crew, and don’t know how to manage people. Did you ever wonder who was the idiot that hired them? lol

Don’t give up on your writing as it does take years for people to find you and become a fan, but it does happen. One day you may be able to write every day and be your own boss! Yahoooooo.

You are an attractive woman, with a great personality, a good work ethic and a loving mother. You just might find someone on that island that may sweep you off your feet! Keep the faith and be well my dear.

  5. Hello Joe. Thanks for stopping by and for your nice words. I remember your suggestion, however donations are very rare, but so are my postings these days. 🙂 Yes, it is beautiful here on the island. So happy to be here and to be able to live close to my daughter.
Other than that, I’m job searching again. Hopefully, I’ll have better chances this time around. My writing will definitely improve as a result. 🙂
All the best to you too.

  6. Well Verena it has been almost a year to the day I last sent you a note. It’s funny that you come into my thoughts, as I don’t even know you. Maybe I am going crazy, lol. You have been at your new home for a while now and see you are enjoying your surroundings a great deal. I’m happy for you. Yes the job searching thing is a royal pain, no doubt. I do look forward to your writing and I am glad you still do it as I do check for a new article often. With Thanksgiving here is the US just a couple of weeks away and Christmas not too far away either, I wish you and your daughter much happiness and security. Be well.

  7. Thank you, Joe. It’s good to hear from. Yes, another year has passed and life goes on. My daughter and I are both in a 9 year, which means we’re still in a transitional phase and will be really starting over or implementing next year. Oh yeah, and it’s this time of the year again. 🙂 🙂 We celebrated our Thanksgiving already here, but Christmas is not too far away anymore. Don’t even want to think of it yet!!! However, we got some snow here, which is unusual, especially in November. Really not in the mood to explore the outdoors right now. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and wishes. I wish you and your family all the best as well. Take care. 🙂

  8. Hello again Verena, yes, it’s almost a year later again since we last spoke but this year with a terminal diagnosis from my doctor it seems I won’t be around for the one year anniversary. I was hoping to catch one more of your writings before I pass and was happy to see a new one today. I do wish you the very best in your life up north. Like I said in my last reply, for some unknown reason you just come into my mind fairly often. Go figure? I know life for you has not been easy but you keep forging ahead, and I am proud of you. I pray for you and know that some peace will find you soon, I just know it. Thanks for the recent article, take care of you! Be well my dear!

  9. Hi Joe, it’s so nice to hear from you again. Yes, it’s been a while and I’ve been struggling. However, it seems so miniscule compared to what you are going through. I’m so very sorry to hear about your fate. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. I shall pray for you too. I’d like to write more, but feel too burnt out from my job. Just taking it one day at a time. You are in my thoughts.

  10. Hi Susan, sure I can do that. I have both – zoom and skype. Please send me your birth data first – date, time and place so that I can prepare.
