Coinciding with the Full Moon in emotionally intense Scorpio at 2:11 pm PDT today is the start of a new synodic cycle as Venus meets Uranus in her spring sign Taurus. Thus, we can expect that something will stir up our passions and this could end in a display of rebelliousness or unconventionality.
Venus’s coupling with Uranus in Taurus can be compared to a storm sweeping through a beautiful valley in nature and the havoc this will create, the magnitude of which is amplified by the Full Moon. Therefore, during this synodic cycle all Venus-ruled matters, such as the feminine principle, our senses, needs, wants, emotionality, values, attachments, worth, comfort, wellbeing, resources, assets, happiness etc., will be slowly, deliberately and repeatedly changing, upgrading, reforming, progressing, upsetting us or are being turned upside down and inside out and this could inspire and lead to emotional and material detachment, an awakening or stirring, liberation, differentiation or distinctiveness, protest and even revolution.
With the Full Moon highlighting the Scorpio-Taurus axis, issues involving power and control are coming to a head, revealing conflicts between social and emotional security needs, personal and shared values and resources, business affairs and personal worth or appreciation as well as matters pertaining to intimacy and contentment. In order to be able to reconcile them, we need to develop resilience and resourcefulness and grow into our own power.
The semi-sextiles between retrograde Jupiter in Sagittarius and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, the ruler over the Full Moon, and between Mercury in Taurus and Eris in Aries require adjustments concerning long-term options or perspectives and our usual way of thinking and planning in order to be able to gain control over our circumstances and focus on our self-interests and success.
As the Taurus lunation cycle culminates into the Scorpio Full Moon, the seeds that were planted at the time of the Scorpio New Moon back in November of last year will also come to fruition. In the symbolical language of the Sabians we get the following story:
‘The man, who has been braving a storm with his head covered with a rakish silk hat’ (SS for the Taurus NM) has ‘become’ ‘the king of the fairies’ (SS for the Scorpio FM) – ‘his courage in meeting the crises precipitated by social ambition’ (keynote of the SS for the Taurus NM) has resulted in an ‘inner allegiance’ (keyword of the SS for the Scorpio FM) – showing ‘character under adverse circumstances’ (keyword of the SS for the Taurus NM) has allowed him to become the ‘ruler of his world’, whereas ‘the girl, who’s face is breaking into a smile’ (SS for the Scorpio NM) has turned into ‘a woman past her change of life’ (SS for the Taurus Sun) – ‘fervent reaching out of the young of heart to new experiences’ (keynote of the SS for the Scorpio NM) has led to ‘rebeginnings’ (keyword of the SS for the Taurus Sun) – it is never too late to start over, no matter how old we are or where we are standing in our life.
The Sabian Symbol for the FM at 27:38 Scorpio states:
“The king of the fairies approaching his domain. Keynote: The capacity in man to recognize and to pay homage to an integrating principle at the core of all existence – AN INNER ALLEGIANCE.”
The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 27:38 Taurus states:
“A woman past her ‘change of life’, experiences a new love. Keynote: Man’s capacity to rise in consciousness and feelings above biological limitations – REBEGINNINGS.”

By realizing that we have control over our life and trusting in our inherent potential and power, we can overcome any limitations imposed by conditions and circumstances.
Tarot card of the day is the “4 of Swords”, signifying a break from normal life and a time when we avoid overexertion. We seek to relax body and soul, because we want to gain a better perspective by standing back from the situation and coming to terms with what is. For the moment, there is a truce, which gives us a chance to stabilize ourselves, recover, center our thoughts, stop worrying, put down our defenses and take a breather from the chaos and stress around us. In a practical sense, this card is an indicator that we need to have some time out from our current circumstances, to reflect and review your progress so far to be able to re-evaluate and re-assess our priorities.
