Astro-Notes on June 27, 2017

Daily Aspects:
– Sun in Cancer semi-square Vesta in Leo
– Mercury in Cancer square Jupiter in Libra and trine Neptune Rx in Pisces
– Moon ingress to Virgo at 5:41 pm PDT

The Cancer New Moon happened on the 23, but I was too busy and too distracted by other things to be able to write a blog post about it – Mercury in Cancer was engaged in a semi-square aspect to Vesta in Leo. For me this meant family time was on the agenda (Mercury in Cancer), because we both, my daughter and I, were off for 3 days in a row and enjoyed ourselves (Vesta in Leo) exploring the island, where we made our home. Today, the Cancer Sun, following on Mercury’s heels, repeats this aspect and the time has come for me to dedicate myself to my creative projects (Vesta in Leo) and take care of plans and appointments I made recently.

Meanwhile, Mercury has moved into a square to Jupiter in Libra and a trine to retrograde Neptune in Pisces, while catching up to Mars in Cancer, who opposed retrograde Juno in Capricorn at the time of the New Moon – an aspect that was repeated yesterday by Mercury. So, after we’ve reviewed the relationship situations we’ve established and how they support our intentions and even survival, we were confronted by the need for action, which led to a course change that has been long overdue. This, however, doesn’t come without challenges, some of which we’ve discussed yesterday with others on whom we can count for their support. Moreover, options we thought we had based on our subjective evaluation of the matter might not be realizable at this time.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 2:47 Cancer states:

“A man bundled in fur leads a shaggy deer. Keynote: The need to overcome stagnation and ‘cold’ during trial of endurance – A TESTING OF THE WILL.”

Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 111-112)

At this point, we can say that we’re aware of the struggles that lie ahead and know what to expect along the road. Therefore, we have to keep focused on our intentions, while ‘nurturing’ our plans, fostering connectivity and communication and ‘feed’ our motivation and drive. Pallas’ ingress to Taurus yesterday, where she will be traversing until November 16 before heading back to Aries on her retrograde journey, corresponds to a period when our approach is more consistent as well as repetitive and persistent. With Ceres in Gemini approaching a sextile to the North Node in Leo, we have a chance to commit us to our future projects in a more flexible and adaptable manner, because we changed a past pattern that was counter-productive to that.

Tarot card of the day is the “Queen of Wands”, suggesting that we’re renewing ourselves as we’re summoning our creative energy and approach our life’s situations energetically and confident. We are not afraid of challenges and use our tremendous energy constructively as well as within the scope of our capabilities, which means we’re equipped to be successful and to effectively multi-task.
