Astro-Notes on June 24, 2021 – Capricorn Full Moon

The Gemini lunation cycle that started out with a Solar Eclipse on June 10th culminated in the Capricorn Full Moon today at 11:39 am PDT, bringing matters concerning our public and professional life, status, reputation, ambitions, achievements and responsibilities together with our sense of control, authority and structure to a head. At the same time could intentions or resolutions we set with the Capricorn New Moon on January 12th come to fruition or an end or reach a turning point.

With retrograde Juno in Sagittarius engaged in a sextile to the Full Moon’s ruler Saturn, retrograde in Aquarius, trine Chiron in Aries and sesqui-quadrate Venus in Cancer, we have an opportunity to reach out or look for answers in a relationship situation if we choose to take the initiative in order to bridge or resolve a long-standing problem that involves our personal needs, values, dependencies and sense of worthiness. Venus is also casting a trine to Pallas in Pisces, showing that others will be receptive to our approach and respond sympathetically. Another sesqui-quadrate from Mars in Leo to a stationary Neptune in Pisces shows that we reached a critical point, where self-assertion and action on our part and behalf is necessary for us to be able to have our hopes and expectations finally met.

The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon at 3:27 Capricorn states:

“A group of people outfitting a large canoe at the start of a journey by water. Keynote: The ability to use natural resources and basic skills in order to achieve a group purpose – GROUP ACTIVITY.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 3:27 Cancer states:

“A cat arguing with a mouse. Keynote: An attempt at self-justification – RATIONALIZATION.”

Implied by these symbolical pictures is that we can only start over, if we are ready and prepared to do what is necessary for us to achieve our goal. Recognizing defense mechanisms we might have developed in this regard will help us to reconcile emotional conflicts we might be experiencing. Reassuring ourselves of our motives or reasons can help us standing up for ourselves and assuming control over our life.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we’re building on our previous successes, especially in regard to the work we’ve done in the past or the visions and dreams we’ve had. We need to be diligent, make an effort and plug away. Important is also in this regard to find out the facts, to increase our expertise, to check and recheck what we’re doing.
