Astro-Notes on October 30, 2013 – making amends

A semi-square between Ceres in Virgo and Saturn in Scorpio urges us to remove any last or remaining obstacles in our way and finalize our tasks, obligations and responsibilities to be able to complete this phase of working on our foundational structures. With the Sun conjunct the North Node in Scorpio (opposite South Node in Taurus), our path is now illuminated or getting completely cleared so that we can leave the past behind once and for all. Also, we’ve got already a taste of the new life that is awaiting us and this invites inevitable conflicts or confrontations with what we’ve been used to and therefore some amends have to be made – whether we like it or not.

Tarot card of the day is “Justice”, indicating that justice will be served and a fair decision will be made. The workings of karma will be evident. Therefore, an understanding of cause and effect or consequences is necessary. A sharp mind is needed and so is a clear-sighted view. This is a time to remain objective and impartial. We need to apply ethical principles, try to do what’s right and play by the rules. Thus, we can handle the situation and settle old accounts and debts.

Astro-Notes on October 29, 2013 – getting a break

Today, the semi-squares between Venus in Sagittarius and

Juno in Aquarius and between Vesta in Virgo and the North Node in Scorpio (sesqui-quadrate South Node in Taurus) perfect together with another one between retrograde Mercury in Scorpio and Ceres in Virgo after Mercury’s conjunction with Saturn. Therefore, it is important that we seek to gain influence over our life’s direction, in particular what our immediate future concerns, and ensure our security needs will be met by committing us to our daily routine and all the duties and obligations we have yet to fulfill. This extends to reviewing everything we still have to do, to rank our priorities according to urgency, especially in regard to certain relationship dynamics, and also to get back to those parts of contractual agreements that haven’t been formalized (“put on paper” or signed) or completed yet due to complex and complicated circumstances we had to deal with. At the end of the day we want to see results and have reached that point where we no longer feel stressed out, but have everything taking care of and arranged for or going according to plan.

Tarot card of the day is the “4 of Swords”, signifying a break from normal life and a time when we avoid overexertion. We seek to relax body and soul, because we want to gain a better perspective by standing back from the situation and coming to terms with what is. For the moment, there is a truce, which gives us a chance to stabilize ourselves, recover, center our thoughts, stop worrying, put down our defenses and take a breather from the chaos and stress around us. In a practical sense, this card is an indicator that we need to have some time out from our current circumstances, to reflect and review your progress so far to be able to re-evaluate and re-assess our priorities.

Astro-Notes on October 28, 2013 – getting on top of daily affairs

Venus in Sagittarius participates in the Vesta-Eris quincunx by

casting a square to the former and a trine to the latter. She also engages in a semi-square to the North Node in Scorpio (sesqui-quadrate South Node in Taurus). Meanwhile, the Chiron-Pluto sextile perfects. Consequently, determined to demonstrate our potential and thus, to show what we are made of and capable of, we strive to succeed, no matter what it takes. We are on a roll, knowing that we have to meet our objectives under complicated circumstances, where we don’t have much leeway for negotiation. Although we have to be firm and resolute, we also have to be aware of our attitude and be a ‘good sport’, ‘playing nice’ and fair. After the Moon’s ingress to Virgo late in the night at 11:44 pm EDT, will we be able to curb our enthusiasm a bit and feel in control over the situation.

Tarot card of the day is the “2 of Pentacles”, advising us to strike a balance. This card comes with the message of unification as well as of recognizing choices and alternatives. It is important to think before we act, to be clear on our priorities and also on where we want to invest our time and energy. We need to maintain the harmony, be patient and cope with the demands in order to get on top of daily affairs. However, we could be feeling in high spirits and do something we enjoy.

Astro-Notes on October 27, 2013 – reorientation

With Mars in Virgo casting a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Eris in Aries, a quincunx to Juno in Aquarius and a sextile to the North Node in Scorpio (trine South Node in Taurus) in addition to Pallas in Leo’s sesqui-quadrate aspects to Pluto in Capricorn and retrograde Uranus in Aries, it is critical that we concentrate on managing our affairs and the new trends and changes that entails, while showing determination, readiness and willingness and at the same time bring forth our competitive spirit, thereby demonstrating what we’ve trained, practiced and emulated in order to be efficient and helpful. However, to avoid unnecessary difficulties or conflicts of interests, we also have to be mindful and keep the ego in check. A pragmatic, task-oriented approach will serve us best. Juno in Aquarius’ square to the nodal axis implies that we’ve reached a turning point destiny-wise as the result of a changed relationship situation, where we have to make decisions to influence the future and move on from things that have accumulated in the meantime. We have our work and path cut out for us and all we need to do now is walk on.

Tarot card of the day is the “10 of Swords”, suggesting that we may feel victimized and powerless. However, this is the final ordeal, presenting us with a confrontation of the sum total of our thoughts and outcome of mental processes. Thus, a reorientation of perspective might ensue and things might get better from now on. It is important though to let go off negative attitudes and to accept our current circumstances. Something is coming to end and change is impending. The worst is over and the only way is up.

Astro-Notes on October 26, 2013 – recuperation and resourcefulness

The Moon will make ingress to Leo at 12:11 pm EDT, setting us in a more playful mood and raising our level of confidence. However, later in the evening at 7:40 pm EDT will she square the Sun in Scorpio, which marks the Third Quarter Moon phase in the Libra lunation cycle and is defined as a crisis in consciousness that in this case is testing our resolve and resourcefulness as we’re ‘recreating’ ourselves, while trying to complete complex and complicated personal affairs. Thus, the miners surfacing from a deep coal mine (Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon) are now challenged to ‘see the light at the end of the tunnel’. With Venus in Sagittarius casting a quincunx to Jupiter in Cancer this means we have to make the necessary adjustments priority- and preference-wise to be able to ‘sustain the quest or mission’ and support our growth.

Tarot card of the day is once again the “Queen of Pentacles”, suggesting that we strive to create a warm, secure and nurturing environment, where we find a use for everything. We need to focus on doing the same for ourselves and invest in a calm and balanced life. Thus, we need to be resourceful and practical when dealing with others and work on solutions for our present circumstances. It’s a day to learn to love and accept ourselves, to take care of ourselves and to replenish inwardly. This Queen is the original ‘Earth Mother’. She has a pragmatic concern for conservation of resources and promotes physical growth, sensuality and well-being. So, today we’ll be tending to our home and surroundings and heal or recuperate, while also putting our duties first.

Per example, yesterday was my last day at the supercentre in London. From now on (tomorrow to be exact) will I be working in Stratford. Today is my day off and I used this opportunity to sleep in. Yet, I’m aware of all the tasks I still have to complete. Therefore, I will be busy packing more of my stuff and taking some of the trash out.
