Astro-Notes on May 31, 2012 – working ourselves up

The Moon is in Libra all day, placing emphasis on socializing, harmonizing, balancing and evening things out. At the

time of her trine to Mercury in Gemini this morning I met with my dear friend Christina for a lengthy chat on Skype, after which I started my fitness practice. Toward the end of it, when the Moon was moving into a sesqui-quadrate with Neptune in Pisces, did my phone ring. A friend called to set up a meeting with me for next week. From his voice I could hear that he had problems. So, we talked for a while, which helped him to regain some of his inner peace. As the Moon engaged in a trine to retrograde Venus in Gemini I was finally showered and fed and able to return to my computer. At the time of her semi-square to the North Node in Sagittarius (sesqui-quadrate South Node in Gemini) at 4:18 pm EDT I responded to a message on FB, whereby I had to clarify a few facts to the point of justifying myself to set matters straight. With Neptune in my 3rd house conjunct my Sun (trine Moon in Pisces in 7) and ruling my 7th and 8th, people for the most case have a wrong perception of me. Anyway, since yesterday afternoon it has cooled down in our area. I thought it would have been nice to go on a long walk in the early evening, but I took on a shift from a co-worker. Consequently, instead of relaxing myself, I’ll be heading to work when the Libra Moon will be forming a quincunx to Ceres in Taurus. At 8:21 pm EDT will the Moon engage in an opposition to Eris in Aries – I better prepare myself for that. It’s a moment when we could encounter strife or disagreement. Her conjunction to Saturn at 9:30 pm EDT will be a time for me when I will prepare myself for closing/shift end. Others might get ready for bed. Watch out for the Moon’s sesqui-quadrate to Chiron in Pisces that perfects at 11:53 pm EDT. It could rock our boat, so to speak. As a result, a relationship could cause us some emotional upset.

Tarot card of the day is the “9 of Swords”, suggesting that we are worrying excessively about a situation and might be working ourselves up unnecessarily. We might be putting ourselves down or be very hard on ourselves.

Personal Note: I wanted to share my Solar Eclipse experience, but time is running out. So, perhaps tomorrow. 🙂

Astro-Notes on May 30, 2012 – bridging conflicts

An opposition between retrograde Juno in Scorpio and Jupiter in Taurus confronts us with a recurring complex relationship conflict that has to be resolved with the understanding we’ve cultivated so far and whereby we have to let us be guided by higher principles. After the Moon’s ingress into Libra at 6:45 am EDT, we’re more inclined to cooperate, accommodate and compromise. Mercury in Gemini’s semi-sextile to Vesta in Taurus together with his square to Mars in Virgo require that we adjust our focus accordingly and commit us to a productive exchange of minds, while being recognizant of our intentions and also be willing to come up with workable solutions. With the Sun in Gemini also squaring Chiron in Pisces, we need to be self-aware as well as conscious of the image we project through our Self-expression, which is essential to our successful dealing with problems that have been a source of headaches in every sense of the word. As Pallas in Aries casts a semi-sextile to Neptune in Pisces, our personal politics have to complement our higher values. Therefore, approaches we take should be non-offensive, but rather be motivated by the desire to reach unanimity.

Tarot card of the day is “The Hierophant”, suggesting that we stay within conventional bounds and follow established social structures and traditions. There is a need to conform to rules or fixed situations and to go along with the program. We are working as part of a team and are doing the right thing. This concerns especially the bridging of the earthly and divine, which can be achieved by using our situation or particular circumstances to transcend as yet unevolved aspects of ourselves. A gateway to higher consciousness is open for us today that allows us to access the sacred.

Astro-Notes on May 29, 2012 – reconciling the opposites

The Sun in Gemini’s sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Saturn in Libra together with his quincunx to retrograde

Pluto in Capricorn urge us to manage our time better in order to be able to juggle our responsibilities, deal with unresolved issues and restore control over our life. Therefore, a personal adjustment is needed that prevents us from squandering our energies. With retrograde Venus in Gemini in semi-sextile aspect to Ceres in Taurus, we have to adapt our values and priorities accordingly, ensuring support and sustaining what we’ve nurtured so far.

Tarot card of the day is the “2 of Cups”, suggesting that we’re blending anima and animus and thus reconciling the opposites or conflicting tendencies within ourselves. It’s a day when we moreover focus on win-win situations, show kindness and thoughtfulness and when our interactions are balanced and harmonious.

Astro-Notes on May 28, 2012 – refinement

The Moon made ingress to Virgo at 2:06 am EDT this morning, supporting analysis, critic, service and improvement. Mercury in Gemini forms a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Saturn in Libra, a quincunx to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and a square to Chiron in Pisces, urging us to address imbalanced, unstable and unresolved social and relationship situations with objectivity and factuality, which requires that we adjust our attitude accordingly, show inner strength and resourcefulness and resist compulsions in order to bridge sensitive issues, especially what misperceptions, misrepresentation or wrong accounts of events concerns, whereby we cannot lose sight of the human condition. Therefore, awareness of ‘opposites’, the two sides of a coin and the dual nature of the mind is essential. As the waxing Virgo Moon squares off the Gemini Sun at the First Quarter Moon phase of the Gemini lunation cycle at 4:15 pm EDT, the accompanying crisis in action is a test in conscience as well as of applied conscientiousness resulting from Self-critic. The new dimension of reality (keynote for Gemini New Moon) is challenged by the disruptive and discordant side of our nature that has been coming forth more strongly recently. With the Gemini Sun following on Mercury’s heels aspect-wise by engaging in a semi-square to Eris in Aries and a sextile to Uranus in Aries, mindful, clever and adapting self-expression is stressed and so is being more authentic, or at least conscious of our thoughts and rebellious inclinations. We have a chance to make personal progress and to promote our Self-interests if we recognize the difference between true individualization and differentiation for differentiation’s sake and thus, choose which of the conflicting aspects of our personality (or which one of the ‘twins’) we want to give the upper hand.

Tarot card of the day is the “9 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we’re exercising self-control and reining in impulses. We’re pursuing refinement, remembering to be gracious and enjoying ourselves. Self-sufficiency is indicated. Much has been achieved and as a consequence, we feel secure and content. Continuing success will come through foresight and good planning as we focus on our very specific aims.

Astro-Notes on May 27, 2012 – recognizing the dual aspect of nature

The Sun and Mercury meet in Gemini for their superior conjunction, which is analogous to the Full Moon

phase and refers to a stage in the cycle when the seed message impressed upon the mental faculties at the time of the inferior conjunction on March 21 receives the light of meaning and thus, we have more or less succeeded with the ‘objectivation of our consciousness’ as we’re seeing certain aspects of our personality more clearly, especially what our lower, more primal impulses concerns (Sun-Mercury inferior conjunction was in Aries). As Mercury follows up with a semi-square to Eris in Aries and a sextile to Uranus in Aries, we have to recognize conflicting motives and drives within ourselves that inform our attitude in order to ‘give birth’ to a new mindset that is inspired by mindfulness and stimulated by our willingness to change this discordant mentality so that progress can be made. Critical to this process is that we have to learn to deal with mental stress in a way that allows us to detach ourselves from the situation instead of taking it personally. Today, we have a chance to channel the ‘fire’ into constructive outlets as the rain brings the cool and refreshment (at least here in our area) that is needed after all the ‘heat’ of the last days.

Tarot card of the day is the “The High Priestess”, suggesting that we’re being aware of a larger reality and are seeing the potential or understanding the possibilities as we’re opening us to what could be. We’re looking beyond the obvious and being receptive to all kinds of subtle and hidden influences, which include our inner voice we need to listen to and trust. Also, we need to look for areas of our life, which are out of balance and therefore require greater foresight and wisdom. Our life is changing. Things that once seemed certain can no longer be taken for granted.
