Today, retrograde Chiron in Pisces perfects his trine to the North Node in Scorpio (sextile South Node in Taurus), marking the sealing of our fate as the result of circumstances that either conspired for or against us, depending on how much influence we have in these matters. As a consequence, there is a dawning awareness about our future prospects that allows us to take advantage of ‘bridges’ we’ve built in the past or we could lose our secure footing on the one’s we’ve burnt. Therefore, after the Moon’s ingress to Gemini at 11:41 am EDT might we have to deal with mixed feelings and as a consequence be more vocal about our inner life. With Mars in Cancer squaring retrograde Uranus in Aries and Mercury in Cancer casting a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Neptune in Pisces we’re challenged to turn a corner and instigate the changes we’re intent on making, which is a deviation from our traditional approach or familiar self-assertion. The more critical is it that we are meeting expectations and common ideals in order to be able to receive support for our plans in return.

Tarot card of the day is the “Knight of Pentacles”, a card that contains an element of perfectionism and brings good news in financial matters. It indicates that we are unwavering in the pursuit of a goal, assess our circumstances candidly, are diligent and industrious, follow a routine and pay attention to the mundane and normal parts of life. We assume responsibility and take charge of a situation by accomplishing what is expected from us. This card has a grounding influence.

In the news: No spitting or speeding: How Justin Bieber could ‘clean up his act’ (it’s about time that this spoiled child/knight of pentacles takes care of his image – with the Sun in Leo semi-sextile to Jupiter in Cancer this would also mean to understand that the sense of entitlement, which comes with being a star, has to be handled with care) – Government can grab cell phone location records without warrant, appeals court says (that’s definitely a deviation from the ‘traditional approach’)

Astro-Notes on July 30, 2013 – evolving conditions

Retrograde Juno in Aquarius perfects her semi-sextile to retrograde Chiron in Pisces before she moves into the apex of

a t-square with the nodal axis, which is indicative of us putting an end to a victimizing situation and thus, turning things around and at the same time inspiring others, while feeling compelled to break out of unproductive patterns and vicious circles, which keep repeating themselves, stimulated by the urge to change our fate instead of being at the mercy of circumstances or relationship dynamics, in which we seem to be powerless. As Venus in Virgo trines retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and Pallas in Cancer forms another trine to Saturn in Scorpio, who’s in mutual reception with Pluto, we managed to regain control over our affairs and as a consequence feel empowered and influential and this readies us to work on the achievement of our objectives, while feeding our passion and desires for success and acclaim. A semi-sextile from the Sun in Leo to Jupiter in Cancer shows a personal adjustment we make in response to an opportunity for growth that helps us fulfill our purpose.

Tarot card of the day is The Tower”, signifying inevitable change, which could shake up our routines.  If handled well, this can bring liberation and freedom. There might be shock due to the suddenness of the event as well as upheaval, but if we’ve been stuck in a rut this will help us to climb out of it. Things are transforming and evolving beyond our control. An era might end – one way or another.

In the news: Hundreds protest in Toronto after teen has been killed in police streetcar shooting (protesting police violence that has grown uncontained over the last years in this country) – 1 in 8 Canadian families struggle to put food on the table, study says (the result of corporate greed and bad economics) – Bradley Manning to learn fate in WikiLeaks courtmartial case (this one is at the mercy of fate or of other’s decisions)

Astro-Notes on July 29, 2013 – the Star of David and the actualization of our life’s potential

Since the Moon made ingress to Taurus at 00:42 am EDT early this morning could we have been feeling more complacent and mellow, while craving comfort, relaxation and contentment. A trine from Pallas in Cancer to retrograde Neptune in Pisces signifies success with strategies or politics we’ve used to fulfill our vision, which might seem almost miraculous in the way how easy everything is coming together based on the support we’re receiving. Even though it’s grey, wet, cold and overcast here, I started my morning with a gentle sound meditation I was invited to on Facebook. This truly saved me from getting overwhelmed by negative feelings, while allowing me to attune myself to this higher vibration. Thank you, David Ison, for letting me partake of your ‘bridging of heaven and earth’.

As the waning Taurus Moon approaches a square to the Leo Sun to mark the Third Quarter Moon phase of the Cancer lunation cycle that will reach perfection at 1:43 pm EDT, the accompanying crisis in consciousness challenges us to be persistent in the pursuit of happiness and to validate our needs in order to be able to cultivate quality in our life. The ‘life urge to actualize one’s birth potential’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Cancer New Moon) is tested at this juncture by repetitive patterns, which need to be overcome through the creative expression of our will together with an insistence on Self-realization, which push us into making things happen.

Tarot card of the day is the “Knight of Wands”, suggesting that an important matter is likely to enter our life and demand our attention. Therefore, we have to be ready to react quickly and to go with the flow. Our present situation will soon change and we have to make important decisions. Consequently, we’re charging forth with ideas and visions to make things happen, while tackling any challenge that stands in our way. It is important that we show ambition, are high-spirited, strong-willed and determined and take calculated risks.

Astro-Notes on July 28, 2013 – living in the moment

Venus in Virgo forms a sextile to Jupiter in Cancer and a sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Eris in Aries, offering us an

opportunity to foster growth through the effective promotion of values, which serve our needs and Self-interests, while working on the resolving of inner conflicts to be able of ‘better judgment’.

Tarot card of the day is the “9 of Cups”, otherwise known as the ‘wish card’. This card is about counting our blessings, living in the moment and enjoying the good things life has to offer. Joy and happiness are within our grasp. We can relish in the fact that we’re about to finally achieve what we have set out to do. There is stability and advancement and a strong possibility to obtain our goals.

Astro-Notes on July 27, 2013 – in pursuit of the ideal

A semi-sextile between Mercury in Cancer and Ceres in Leo together with a quincunx from the Sun in Leo to retrograde Neptune in Pisces on which he followed up with a square to Saturn in Scorpio, show that we adjusted our habitual thinking or ideas we had about spending our spare time and enjoying ourselves to ideals that came up for review and thus might have re-visited a dream or vision we’ve postponed for a long time. Inevitable or inescapable realities though challenge us to overcome the complications involved in order to be able to create the experiences we desire in our life. As I saw my schedule for the 2nd week of August I began making plans for a trip to Philadelphia and to my surprise it seems as though I might actually be able to realize them if I can get all the complexities or complications worked out – Mars in Cancer is opposite retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and semi-sextile Vesta in Leo with the latter also forming a quincunx to Pluto – and while I’m getting all excited about this option/adventure, my girlfriend is rather disappointed, because it would be the week before the astrology conference that I could make this trip eventually. Well, I totally understand her feelings in this regard and I’m not happy about that fact either, in particular since this is a rather unique occasion, but I also learnt that when life throws you lemons it’s your choice to make lemonade or let the opportunity pass by. Yes, the conditions aren’t perfect and I’m not in a position yet, where I have so much control over my circumstances that I can arrange for more ideal ones. After all, my livelihood depends on my job. Not to mention that I just applied for a career opportunity within the company and therefore, my performance and dedication are under review. However, we’re still in the Mercury shadow period, which means this is not the end of it yet. Moreover, as for the issue of synchronicity – I had my “wheels” checked again. Except for a few imperfections that come with the model and the age of the car and with which I have to live with, everything seems to be fine. I’m ready and free to “roam” until the next time. 🙂

Tarot card of the day is the “Knight of Cups”, a card that is associated with transition and free flowing emotional energy. New ideas, invitations and proposals are implicated. Also, we’re inspired and full of zeal as we serve our desires. We’re on a journey of imagination and creativity, where our idealism and love principle will be put to a test. Therefore, we’ll have to follow our heart in order to find our path.

Happy Birthday to my girlfriend Lee Ann, the lioness!
