Astro-Notes on June 30, 2014 – reaching for our goals

A semi-square between Venus in Gemini and Eris in Aries

urges us to be mindful and show some consideration of others, while socializing and mingling. As much as we want to be ‘game’ and push our agenda, we also want to be a ‘good’ sport and take things easy. The Juno-Neptune square in the background reminds us to be aware of the way we perceive or see the world and thus how we relate to our environment based on our reality picture and the projections that color it. This includes the feasibility of our wishes and desires and if they are within our reach. Therefore, we have to be clear about what we want and how to pursue it without expecting from others to provide us with the answers.

Tarot card of the day is the 9 of Cups”, otherwise known as the ‘wish card’. This card is about counting our blessings, living in the moment and enjoying the good things life has to offer. Joy and happiness are within our grasp. We can relish in the fact that we’re about to finally achieve what we have set out to do. There is stability and advancement and a strong possibility to obtain our goals.

Astro-Notes on June 29, 2014 – struggling with temptations

A trine from the Sun in Cancer to retrograde Neptune in Pisces shows that we met certain expectations or projections regarding our self-image and as a result feel nurtured and supported now that things are coming together and this allows us to sustain a vision again we had in the past. As Venus and Juno in Gemini connect with the Sun and retrograde Neptune via semi-sextile and square, respectively, reunions with important others we call family or can depend on are happening and we’re enjoying ourselves as well as others’ company, depending on how aware we are of our ideals and theirs and thus how well we get along and can adapt to the situation or fit the role we’re supposed to be playing in these dynamics. For instance, here in Canada we are having a long weekend, because we’re celebrating Canada Day. Personally, I have several things to take care of (amongst them shopping for gifts for my friend and her family where I will be vacationing in July) and although I have an additional day off from work with retrograde Saturn in Scorpio in quincunx aspect to Uranus in Aries, the opening hours of the stores and the reading I scheduled require from me to adjust my time and schedule accordingly. Per example, yesterday evening at the onset of this aspect configuration, I went on a long walk through my surroundings and upon entering as yet unfamiliar paths, the miles ahead of me seemed to stretch endlessly and I ended up with ‘hurt’ feet I had to soothe in a footbath once I returned home from my journey. At least I was able to sleep deeply throughout the fireworks (Vesta-Ceres). However, these walks are beneficial to my overall wellbeing, as well as calming and healing, especially after the ‘unpleasantness’ of dealing with demanding customers on those long weekends. Today, I ‘m not in the mood to do anything than just relaxing, but this of course is not an option with all the chores I have to attend to. The Moon made ingress to Leo early this morning at 4:42 am EDT, bringing forth a playful, dramatic, boisterous and selfish vibe. So, beware of the pitfalls of pride and ego-centricity – the shadow Self (the evil twin) is very prominent during these social setups when we tend to let loose and party extensively, while seeking freedom and liberation from the constraining conditions of everyday life.

Tarot card of the day is The Devil”, a card that comes with the message “I can untie the binds and set myself free”. We may in some way feel controlled by our environment or by our attitude and may therefore have a fear of taking our power back or of having to succumb to unwanted circumstances. It’s a day when we’re overly concerned with material security and when therefore money and material wellbeing are very important to us. The material world is highlighted and with it our darker emotions. A tendency toward negativity and pessimism could keep us addicted and enslaved to whatever issue we give control over us. Therefore, temptations of all kinds will abound.

Astro-Notes on June 28, 2014 – finding middle ground

So, meanwhile Venus and Juno are approaching conjunction in

Gemini and so do Vesta and Ceres in Libra. Therefore, today we could have felt the blending of these energies and the ending of these cycles. Moreover, the Venus-Juno conjunction in Gemini is connected via sesqui-quadrate to the Vesta-Ceres conjunction in Libra, emphasizing the importance of ‘being on the same page’ and seeking middle ground amidst tensions in the air, general busyness, difficult exchanges and indifference. Therefore, upon entering these new cycles, we’re comparing and evaluating relationships, even judge others, while negotiating terms we can agree on in order to keep things civil and fair. If compromises cannot be made or agreements reached, we might communicate our values very clearly, be confrontational or could take sides. However, we need to focus on cooperation, reconciliation and bridging of our differences with Mars in Libra in semi-sextile aspect to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio and quincunx Chiron in Pisces if we want to end the ongoing conflicts and animosity in some cases. Instead of shooting ourselves in the foot, of complaining and blaming or pointing the finger, we should try to walk in the other’s shoe and see the other side of the coin or story or else we will stay trapped in a mentality that causes our relationships to fail and prevents us from ‘evolving’.

Tarot card of the day is Temperance”, suggesting a need for emotional stability, which can be achieved through moderation and a commitment to sobriety. We need to find middle ground, avoid excess, foster cooperation, cleanse our body and mind, heal ourselves and recognize the flow in our life. As we observe the nature of energy, we learn how to mix the right ingredients in our own life to maintain equilibrium and see all imbalances drifting away. Instead of sweeping changes subtle shifts need to take place. With renewed energy and vigor comes the promise of new growth.

Astro-Notes on June 27, 2014 – Cancer New Moon continued

So, we know that a chapter, cycle or season has come to an end and this necessitates that we prepare and arrange for the future, in particular what matters of protection, self-preservation, regeneration or renewal and self-perpetuation concerns. With Mars in Libra engaged in a semi-sextile to retrograde Saturn in Scorpio and Venus in Gemini linking to Vesta and Ceres in Libra via sesqui-quadrate, we’re adjusting our intentions and actions accordingly, thereby removing the obstacles in our way and taking back control over affairs and circumstances, even establishing a vantage point from which to have a good overview over our environment or issues. Also, it is critical to keep up the ‘juggling act’ (might pay off eventually) and stay on top of things and thus to inform ourselves about what we need and want, to ‘stock’ and ‘fortify’ our nest and to remain flexible as well as on guard what commitments, routines, daily rituals, arrangements etc. concerns.

Tarot card of the day is the 3 of Wands”, suggesting we have opportunities to expand our horizons as everything is progressing steadily and we’re motivated to make changes and explore options. There is a creative blending of energy, because we’ve reached the point where action is now taking place and others are willing to help us make things happen. Consequently, we need to become aware of more potential that exists outside of our current environment and think big. It’s a card of vision and foresight and looking for greater possibilities. Therefore, we need to remain open-minded and adopt a longer-term view.

Astro-Notes on June 26, 2014 – a game-changer

Yesterday’s energies are still in effect as aspects reach perfection. So, we might have to make room for more accommodations and better don’t let things get too close to us or else we’ll just invite conflicts. Some confrontations might still happen, yet we can come out on top of the situation or at least manage our affairs effectively if we can be reasonable and try to work things out. Other aspects forming today are a semi-sextile between the Sun in Cancer and Juno in Gemini and Jupiter in Cancer’s square to the nodal axis. Therefore, as we’re adjusting the way we used to deal with others in the past together with the role we’ve assumed within these dynamics and they’ve been familiar with, which might include showing a different side of our personality, we reach a cross-roads destiny-wise that is a game changer regarding cooperation and accommodation in the future, because we won’t support any longer terms and conditions, which go against our beliefs and principles. We might even seek out justice or walk away from situations where we contributed more than our fair share and consequently feel exhausted and defeated from the ongoing struggle. Since the Moon’s ingress to Cancer at 5:05 pm EDT have we been feeling more nurtured as well as taken care of. This is the lead-up to the Cancer New Moon that will transpire at 4:08 am EDT tomorrow morning.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon at 5:37 Cancer states:
“Game birds feathering their nests. Keynote: An instinctual dedication of Self to new forms of life – SYMBIOSIS.”
(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 360 Symbolical Phases”, Pages 113-114)

Cancer New Moon 2014

Tarot card of the day is the 6 of Pentacles”, for the most part indicating a turn for the better and that we’re heading into a positive cycle. We can tap the flow of abundance into our lives by placing ourselves purposefully in positions that stimulate a response from our environment. However, the element of balance is emphasized, especially what equality and fairness concerns. As we give so shall we receive and dispense charity in our own lives. This card speaks of the cyclical nature of life.

Again, I was way too busy taking care of my own affairs and now I’m too tired. So, this post will be continued tomorrow.
