Astro-Notes on October 31, 2012 – continuing efforts

Prior to her station at 3:43 Cancer at 11:47 am EDT will Ceres receive a square from Venus in Libra, which is challenging our traditional ways of nurturing due to problems we have to overcome in our familiar environment where we have to assess our interactions with others together with needs for balance and harmony, thereby evaluating our worth or worthiness based on the appreciation and cooperation we receive. Ceres will be in retrograde motion until February 4, 2013, and trace back her steps to 19:44 Gemini, which corresponds to a period of reviewing the maternal principle as it affects our sense of belonging, of home and family and how we feel cared for, protected, supported and nurtured, inclusive our eating habits or diet, during her transit of Cancer, whereas in Gemini it is the support of or our dependence on our surroundings, connections, means of transportation and thought process, plans and schedule we have to introspect. This is followed by the Moon’s ingress to Gemini and instant square to retrograde Neptune in Pisces at 2:40 pm EDT, bringing a phase of general mobilization accompanied by feelings of busyness during which we could at first feel overwhelmed or helpless and disoriented. The Sun in Scorpio’s sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Pallas in Pisces stresses the use of emotional intelligence in order to create the trust in our person we long for to portray so that we can focus on our shared interests and common vision.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Pentacles”, suggesting that we’re building on our previous successes, especially in regard to the work we’ve done in the past or the visions and dreams we’ve had. We need to be diligent, make an effort and plug away. Important is also in this regard to find out the facts, to increase our expertise, to check and recheck what we’re doing.

In the news: A massive clean-up effort is underway in the U.S. after the ‘monster’ storm for which U.S. president Obama canceled his campaigning schedule to be able to visit victims of the disaster.

Personal Notes: A massive renovation and clean-up effort seems to be underway in this building here too. My landlord has been working on the unfinished apartment since 8 am in the morning. I don’t expect him to adjust my work schedule, but it’s just another example of how much consideration is coming my way. Luckily, I went to bed early and got up after 7 am already. Not that it really matters anymore – I made up my mind what this “home” concerns.

Astro-Notes on October 30, 2012 – regeneration

A sextile from the Sun in Scorpio to his dispositor, Pluto in Capricorn, provides us with an opportunity to gain in

personal power and influence, especially what the forces beyond our control concerns, whereas Venus in Libra’s semi-sextile to Saturn in Scorpio requires an adjustment in priorities toward renewing our structures so that they’ll fit our needs better.

Tarot card of the day is the “8 of Wands”, representing a very focused kind of motion and activity and a time when we need to strike while the iron is hot as the path is cleared now. It encourages us to move quickly to pursue the best opportunities available right now and thus to reach for our goals enthusiastically in order to make fast progress.

Personal Note: After careful consideration yesterday I called up my ex and canceled the car appointment and then I sent out a mail to our hostess to let her know that I wouldn’t participate in the circle. She responded a couple of hours later to notify me that the event had been canceled anyway and moved to Saturday. Good thing I was not on the road yet, eh? We lost the power only shortly for a couple of seconds yesterday night, but I can tell that’s gotten colder in here due to the high winds, which forced me to turn the heat on this morning. With the election impending in the U.S., I’m hoping and praying that the people there will get the message of this ‘cosmic visitation’ and that the majority of them got their psyches wiped clean. Bless the water (4 of Cups was yesterday’s Tarot card) and let us be ‘baptized by the Holy Spirit’ in the same sense as the woman at the ancestral well in Samaria was visited by the “one” who walked on water.

Astro-Notes on October 29, 2012 – Taurus Full Moon

At 2:15 am EDT did the Moon make ingress to Taurus and cast an immediate sextile to retrograde Neptune in Pisces. As a consequence, we might have sought comfort, warmth and security in our sleep, while cuddling ourselves in our blanket. Only 3 minutes later, at 2:18 am EDT this morning, did Mercury make ingress to Sagittarius, where he will be traversing until November 14 and then again from December 11 til December 31 due to an impending retrograde the shadow phase of which he has already entered, which means that we’re experiencing the impact this introspective time will have in some way already. However, Mercury’s ingress corresponds to a period of expanding mobility, increasing communication and extended connectivity, when we focus on broadening our horizons, stretch and open our mind, fill our agenda and widen our perception. The instant square from Mercury in Sagittarius to retrograde Neptune in Pisces challenges us to overcome disillusionment together with false expectations, misinformation and misguidedness, in order to be able to understand the meaning of certain experiences and developments. This is the prelude to the Taurus Full Moon that will transpire at 3:49 pm EDT and bring the initial impulse of the Libra New Moon to culmination together with the seeds planted at the time of the Taurus New Moon back on April 21. Thus, ‘the sunrise the chanticleer’s voice heralds’ (Sabian Symbol for the Libra New Moon) reveals “a new quality of being” (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus Moon), based on ‘an electrical storm’ (Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon from April 21) that is ‘a visitation’ (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Taurus New Moon) and will lead to “depth realization” (keynote of the Sabian Symbol for the Scorpio Sun).

The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 6:47 Taurus states:

“The woman of Samaria at the ancestral well. Keynote: The meeting of the past and of the creative spirit pointing to the future – A NEW QUALITY OF BEING is revealed.”

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 6:47 Scorpio states:

“Deep-sea divers. Keynote: The will to explore the hidden depths of all experiences and to search for primordial causes – DEPTH REALIZATION.”

(Dane Rudhyar, “An Astrological Mandala: The Cycle of Transformations and its 60 Symbolic Phases”, Pages 74-75 and 196-197, respectively)

Implied by these symbolical pictures is the necessity for awareness of larger and far-reaching patterns and cycles that underlie our human experience and require an understanding of the “stakes” involved. With the real “monster storm” bearing down on us here on the East coast of Northern America, we’re forced to acknowledge our commonality and powerlessness in the ‘wake of cosmic forces’. In times like these, none of our differences, contempt of, intolerance and ignorance we have for others and their viewpoints, beliefs and ways of life, matter. We’re all in this together – delivered to forces beyond our control and at the mercy of the elements. Even the election process in the U.S. has to deal with and adapt to these circumstances – NOBODY is above these universal laws – which is the exact point that’s trying to get our attention (Mercury in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces and contrary to what a majority of humans believe – the universe makes NO differences and has no bias toward the woman at the Samarian well – she was visited by the Christ, who symbolizes the universal love principle). As I look at the weather forecast I too consider canceling my plans for today, especially since I’m an inexperienced driver and would have to drive a pretty far distance in a weather that seems to get worse by the afternoon and when the conditions could really be extreme.

Tarot card of the day is the “4 of Cups”, suggesting that we need to re-evaluate our situation and look deep within to find the truth or path we’re searching. It is essential that we examine our feelings and thoughts to gain clarity. An offer has been presented to us that will continue to be there during the time of reflection and contemplation. Moreover, we’re reminded that we cannot take everything for granted and need to count our blessings. We are the only limiting factor to our endless gain. It is up to us to open ourselves and reach out. Awareness of the natural flow of abundance and enhancement is critical.

Astro-Notes on October 28, 2012 – accepting our preferences

The Sun in Scorpio’s quincunx to retrograde Uranus in Aries implicates an adjustment in regard to our role, self-expression or passion to newly arising trends or other unexpected changes. As Mars in Sagittarius opposes retrograde Jupiter in Gemini we’re confronted with inner dichotomies together with controversies in viewpoints and principles, which conflict with our growth-oriented intentions. Consequently, actions or reactions might be contrary to our convictions, truths and morals to a point where beliefs and opinions could clash and we’re over-asserting or overextending ourselves, while anger is rising and we’re remaining ignorant or intolerant in some righteous way. However, facing these possibilities, we might come to the understanding that we need an alternative we should opt for and we might just find the right one the longer we think about it. Venus’ ingress to Libra at 9:03 am EDT, where she will traverse until November 22, and her instant quincunx to retrograde Neptune in Pisces, correlates to a period when we assess our style and values as well as evaluate and balance finances, assets, talents, relationships and worth and this begins with a shift in awareness that saves us from an otherwise overwhelming sense of disappointment due to unfulfilled expectations.

Tarot card of the day is the “2 of Cups”, suggesting that there is a mutual understanding between the people involved in a relationship and that interactions are balanced and harmonious, because of an awareness of the expectations each person has, which allows for growth and very special relationships. We’re calling a truce, reconcile, cooperate and accept our preferences as we’re leaving the past behind and holding ourselves in high regard. It is likely that we’re feeling ‘at one’ with the energies of the universe and also with ourselves. Moreover, our focus is on win-win situations as we show kindness and thoughtfulness.

Astro-Notes on October 27, 2012 – disclosure

A trine from the Sun in Scorpio to retrograde Chiron in Pisces indicates either closure or disclosure from which healing or wholesomeness might ensue as the case may be. This is the result of  revelations, which caused us to tap our power source or influence certain out of control or mismanaged situations, while remaining staunch and unwavering in our performance.

Tarot card of the day is “The Hermit”, suggesting that we’ve entered a stage of introspection, where we need to look for the answers within, thereby engaging in soul searching. It’s a solitary quest, because the truths we’re seeking do not lie in the external world, but within us. Therefore, we begin to re-evaluate our goals and might have changed our overall direction. In recognizing that each of our thoughts and actions is a brick we use to build our lives, we partake in the creation of our own reality. We have to find the light within and allow ourselves to be touched and illuminated by it as well as help to light the way for others.
