Astro-Notes on September 20, 2011 – informed decisions

The Sun in Virgo’s trine to retrograde Pallas in Capricorn signals that our strategy has finally worked out and we’re getting to the bottom of a problem. As the waning Gemini Moon squares the Virgo Sun at 9:38 am EDT for the Third Quarter Moon, the accompanying “crisis in consciousness” is testing our connections for their usefulness and effectiveness, which challenges us to make informed decisions when we need to do so in order to improve our life and keep things moving. A sextile from the Juno-Saturn conjunction in Libra to the North Node in Sagittarius provides an opportunity for the evaluation of relationship dynamics in long-term perspective, where we can take charge of our own destiny by reaching out and trying to find common ground with important others. After the Moon’s ingress to Cancer at 2:53 pm EDT and subsequent semi-sextile to Mars in Leo, the atmosphere is more supportive of our personal intentions and at the time of her trine to retrograde Chiron in Pisces we may feel taken care of and ‘warmed’ on the inside, whereas her square to retrograde Uranus in Aries later in the evening causes some emotional turmoil that forces us to liberate ourselves from the past. Mercury in Virgo’s sesqui-quadrate to Vesta in Aquarius calls for progressive thinking in order to advance our cause, inspiring mental efficiency on our part.

Tarot card of the day is “The Hermit reversed”, encouraging us to go more deeply into our inner being and rediscover our greater meaning and purpose on this Earth. We need to search within our soul, which will help us to find our way again and to focus on rebuilding ourselves on a spiritual level. It’s important to not underestimate the value of staying connected with others, while being mindful of other people’s needs too. We need to become involved in life again. It’s not our outer circumstances that need to change, but the way we look at them.
