Astro-Notes on November 7, 2012 – there shall be light

A semi-sextile from the Sun in Scorpio to Juno in Sagittarius indicates an adjustment in our role and

interactions with others from which we could gain a sense of empowerment, depending on how we respond to life’s renewals. With Mars in Sagittarius involved in a square to retrograde Pallas in Pisces, we’re challenged to reflect upon our actions in order to find out why certain politics failed and where we lost our momentum to be able to overcome defeat and cluelessness and raise our drive.  After the Moon’s ingress to Virgo at 11:34 pm EST and instant opposition to retrograde Neptune in Pisces will we feel like getting back to work and fix the situation, but might have to get some rest first.

Tarot card of the day is the “7 of Wands”, suggesting that we’re coming out on top of a situation as things are going well and projects move right along. Thus, we seize the opportunity, are firm and act resolutely as we’re going after what we want. We stand our ground and show determination, even in the face of adversity. Our inner strength and tenacity give us the ability to meet all challenges head-on.

In the news: Barack Obama has been re-elected as President of the United States (notice the RE – Mercury stationed retrograde in Sag in mutual reception with Jupiter in Gemini, also retrograde – however, a personal indicator was the Moon, representing the public in mundane astrology, transiting his Sun in Leo, the sign related to shining and leadership), which has come with a huge sigh of relief nationally and internationally for those who understood what was at stake (today’s Sabian Symbol for the Sun is “A girl’s face breaking into a smile” – reference to the feminine principle). This election was NOT so much about President Obama and the Democratic Party – with Venus in Libra (her sign of rulership – thanks Goddess!) in octile aspects (related to power) to the nodal axis on the day of the election it was about SOCIAL VALUES (notice all the progressive women who get elected into important positions, the votes on gay marriage, the legalization of marijuana).

Personal Notes: I’m expecting a visit from my friend Diane, which I hope will also bring some clarity in addition to the wonderful hours I’m looking forward to.
